I have changed my mind about this book many times. When I first wrote it, around 1997, I thought it was really good, but no publishing house wanted it and I thought I must be wrong. Then I decided it was really amateurish, and hopelessly outdated - I mean, there's a plot point that doesn't even matter now that people have cell phones. Still, when I returned to it last year I found I still really liked Ben and Cara and their friends, and I wanted to give it a chance. It's really more of a missionary book than a romance, but there's still a lot of love.
