They saw a quiet grape farmer in the Missouri Ozarks. They didn’t see the retired CIA assassin who was just waiting for a reason to let the monster out.
Million-selling author Georgia Wagner teams up with Mensa genius and Navy vet, Scott Cook, to create your next favorite thriller series.
The dirt under Jonathan’s fingernails used to be the dust of Kandahar and Caracas. As a former operator for the CIA’s Special Activities Division, Hunt was a "Gray Man"—a ghost trained to dismantle insurgencies and vanish without a trace. His speciality was asymmetrical warfare, until he faked his death two years ago.
He thought he was out. He thought he could replace the violence with the silence of the vines.
He was wrong.
When his boss gets entangled with local thugs, Hunt steps in to handle it the only way he knows how—quickly and brutally. But he unknowingly kicks a hornet's nest. The thugs aren't just low-level criminals; they are the foot soldiers for Vissarion, a sadistic cartel enforcer with big plans for the small town.
Vissarion isn't just moving drugs; he’s testing a terrifying new synthetic weapon, VX-9, on the American heartland.
Now, with his new family under siege, the time for being a simple farmer is over. The police can’t help. The government won’t help. But Jonathan Hunt doesn’t need help. He has a particular set of skills, a hidden cache of weapons, and a burning need for revenge.
The operative is back. And he’s about to turn the Ozarks into a war zone.
Perfect for fans of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Mark Greaney’s The Gray Man, and the relentless pacing of John Wick with a dash of Mission Impossible.
Having worked on projects with New York Times Bestsellers and USA Today bestsellers, Georgia Wagner recently hit #1 bestseller with her newest series. Location and character are two big factors for Georgia, and getting those right allows the story to flow seamlessly onto the page. And flow it does, because Georgia is so prolific a new term is required to describe the rate at which nerve-tingling stories find their way into print.
When not found attached to a laptop, Georgia likes spending time in local arboretums, among the trees and ponds. An avid cultivator of orchids, begonias, and all things floral, Georgia also has a strong penchant for art, paintings, and sculptures. A many-decades-long passion for mystery novels and years of chess tournament experience makes Georgia the perfect person to pen the Artemis Blythe series. That's where it all started, but the drive to craft thrilling mystery tales soon demanded new characters in new locations.
I'm amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that she never stops writing. Her books are some of the best Entertainment I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.
Aside from the alternating colors of the text the Jericho Siege has a promising start. As it progresses the factual errors build to the point where the hero, Jonathan Hunt is walking uphill toward the cabin of a Gulf stream that is screaming toward the ocean. There are many similar errors especially in the last third of the book I've never given a book in this genre two stars, and this book really deserves one star.
(3.5 stars) This was a good book, a lot of good action, an ex-CIA guy trying to stay away from the government and mind his own business when life intervenes.
My only complain is the action borders on the absurd as the “deceased” CIA agent takes on (at one point 100) bad guys single-handedly 🙄 Really?
Could have been better if it was more grounded in reality.
My god, hold on from the third chapter till the end, I have been tensed up tighter then a guitar string and I've just had surgery. Awesome read love the action, mystery and intelligence. I hope the rest are as good. I'm biting ok lets go!
This character is way beyond the pale. First off, 6'4 200lbs is not massive, not even close. Secondly, the bullshit this guy goes through is not remotely believeable. I did not like this book at all.
I enjoyed the storyline. No dragging, boring moment but full action from the start. I love the main character Jonathan. Im going to read the next book and see how it goes...
I stopped at 33% because this read like it was written by chatgpt. I cant prove it but it shows a lot of the hallmarks. lots of " its not this, its this."
Excellent new series with a tortured former Special Ops soldier and the adventures he blunders in to help people. This book would be a great movie. Can't wait for second book.
