Rhett felt a pull towards Rowan from the moment they met, but he tried everything possible to keep his attraction in check and concentrate solely on ensuring she was safe. Spending time together brought them closer and heightened their attraction for each other.
Unfortunately, Rhett’s plan to take Rowan away went awry when they discovered her stalker had managed to track them down without their knowledge. Fortunately, Rhett took steps to ensure no harm would come to Rowan when he set a trap for her stalker, which led to the stalker being captured and dealt with permanently. Rhett and Rowan’s relationship may have begun as a result of a fearful situation, but they turned the tables on the chaos and worked towards a happily ever after.
This awesome romance story delivered drama, spice and intense emotional moments, that had me hooked and unable to take a break until I finished reading the book. Awesome book kept me wondering what would come next. The author does great HEAs. Starting with a tour of a popular singer Rowan was a great honest real life feel. Rowan ends up with what stars have a stalker or maybe something worse. Her manager Marc hires Rhett to be security. Rhett is ex-military and great at his job of security. He can access and plan things easily. Rowan of course is not happy about the changes but understands the reasoning. When the second issue happens Rowan knows having Rhett around is the best. Their sexual tension is palpable but the grown a bond between never crossing that protected /bodyguard bond. The things that are found would make anyone uncomfortable star or not. Edge of my seat waiting for the plot twists and how to capture the stalker. Just an all around great book. Steamy suspenseful and attention keeping.

Rhett sees the bigger picture, he sees the escalation Rowan doesn't, he sees the danger and he acts to keep her safe. I really like both Rhett and Rowan, he's serious, focused and completely bowled over by Rowan. And Rowan is sweet, you expect her to be a diva, but she isn't - it's about the fans and protecting her staff. It's a crazy story of obsession, stalking and control but it also has sweet moments...and all that danger? It shows Rhett and Rowan exactly what's important.

This a great steamy novella if you’re looking for something quick to read. Rowan and Rhett were quite the object of each other’s attraction. I loved the daughter and suspense of this novella. They made me giggle and swoon. Rowan was hot af and they was a firecracker. The two of them together were wonderful. This was a really great strut. Loved these two so much.

I’ll admit, I sometimes have my doubts about novellas because the story can move so quickly that it’s hard for the characters and plot to really develop. But Dangerous Obsession by Opal Nicks completely proved me wrong.
I read this novella in one sitting because I truly could not put it down. While the plot definitely moves fast, the character development is still there, and I quickly found myself invested in the story and the characters.
Rowan was strong in her own way, and I loved her stubborn streak. She stood her ground and had a quiet resilience that made her easy to root for. Rhett balanced her perfectly—protective, respectful, and completely devoted in a way that made their dynamic so enjoyable to read.
If you’re looking for a quick but captivating read with strong characters and a story that pulls you in right away (plus a little spice), I highly recommend this one. You will not be disappointed.

As Rhett gets closer to Rowan, attraction develops. Will they keep everything professional or will the attraction interfere with capturing the stalker? This was an engaging and emotional read that has Rhett providing security to singer, Rowan, when she gets a dangerous stalker. Rhett is all things protective but he never expected to break his biggest rule by falling for Rowan. He didn't just fall for her, though, he's obsessed ;) I do like that he respected her strengths and was totally devoted to her. She had a stubborn streak that served her well, and I really liked them together. Expect to get caught up in the intrigue, drama, danger, emotional moments and spice as you follow these two to their wonderful HEA. Good fun!

Dangerous Obsession by Opal Nicks is part of the multi author series Dangerous Devotion and it was the second title I've read by this author.
As a protector, bodyguard, suspense romance I wasn't disappointed as the plot and storyline was engaging especially with the main characters of Rowan, country music star and Rhett, the ex-Black Ops private security specialist.
Rowan has a stalker that is getting past backstage security and getting too personal with the messages being left. Rhett is called in to shadow and guard her and discover the perpetrator with his outside security team.
With elements of intrigue, drama and psychological stalking woven throughout to build the suspense and simmering chemistry of Rowan and Rhett, I was hooked on this book quickly.
As they spend time together dealing with the security breaches and strategizing a way to find the stalker, Rhett struggles to maintain professional distance and Rowan starts to feel seen beyond the celebrity persona she maintains constantly. As a slow burn romance it was well written and with their developing emotional connection and physical chemistry, the steam and spiciness and also the stalker action coming to a head, it all made for an entertaining read that kept me turning the pages right through to the very end and their satisfying HEA.

As a protector, bodyguard, suspense romance I wasn't disappointed as the plot and storyline was engaging especially with the main characters of Rowan, country music star and Rhett, the ex-Black Ops private security specialist.
Rowan has a stalker that is getting past backstage security and getting too personal with the messages being left. Rhett is called in to shadow and guard her and discover the perpetrator with his outside security team.
With elements of intrigue, drama and psychological stalking woven throughout to build the suspense and simmering chemistry of Rowan and Rhett, I was hooked on this book quickly.
As they spend time together dealing with the security breaches and strategizing a way to find the stalker, Rhett struggles to maintain professional distance and Rowan starts to feel seen beyond the celebrity persona she maintains constantly.
