Jonathan Hunt #4

The Midnight Dredge

They think they’ve cornered a fugitive, but they’re about to discover they’ve unleashed a man trained to dismantle empires.

In the frozen dead-end of Nome, Alaska, Jonathan Hunt just wanted to be left alone. Two years ago, he was a CIA "architect of collapse" who broke nations for a living; now, he’s a scarred giant dredging gold in the Bering Sea, keeping a promise to a woman named Rosa: no more violence.

But the silence of the frontier is shattered when a local girl vanishes, and a serial killer begins carving a path through the ice. When a ruthless mining syndicate murders Hunt’s boss—a man who couldn’t even breathe without an oxygen mask—the town turns its suspicion on the outsider. Trapped between a bloodthirsty posse and a killer in the shadows, Hunt must break his vow. They think they’ve cornered a fugitive, but they’re about to discover they’ve unleashed a man trained to dismantle empires.

Newbies are always suspects

An deed exciting story deep in the frozen tundra of Alaska. I live in the south, I got cold reading some parts! Nasty characters that run the town, but want to run the world.

Another good installment

Jonathan Hunt takes the opposition apart once again. This episode is a little slower than the previous ones, but still moves really well, with good characters.

Great read

Loved reading this series of books but if you don’t like blood and guts then it’s not for you. Full of action though Johnathan doesn’t want it, it heads towards him.

Plot well written

A well, thought out story- author displays an accurate picture of arctic winter and it's paralyzing coldness. The scene with the grizzly was especially poignant-
