2 1/2 month separation at the beginning of the book because of her betrayal- he hasnt been with anyone since her. Also went and looked his name up in the other 2 books to see if he was even around other girls and didn’t find anything
Freshman year - he says 6 months go by of him “torturing” her but really it’s just forcing her to suck his dick atleast twice a week during that time (she likes it) but damn get the poor girl off too?
Apparently the face fucking happens the entire freshman year
Sophomore year - starts with taking her virginity 🙄 against a brick wall. In an alley. No after care or sorry about it just sends her on her way. 🙄 but she’s ok with it all smiles in her pov after 🙄 they spend all this year meeting to hookup
Summer before junior year- H finds out h is going to be in arranged marriage decides he’s done with her
Junior year- they both avoid each other don’t talk or hook up at all don’t think he was with others since the summer before freshman year.
Senior year (present time)- got back together and get a bit of dialogue about how horrible he feels for what he’s been doing to her.

First of all, this was my first time listening to an audiobook by this author, and they chose some amazing narrators! The narrators did such a fantastic job bringing Harley and Savannah’s story to life. The audio performance was straight fire! 🔥

Harley, our MMC, goes from an egotistical teenager who thinks he’s on top of the world to a guy desperately trying to get the girl who doesn’t want to be gotten. Then Savannah, our FMC, does something that betrays him…and I’m not going to spoil what happens….but it turns Harley into quite the a-hole throughout their college years.

The story does jump around in the timeline, so that’s something to be aware of. It is told in dual POV with duet narration, which I really enjoyed.

Trigger Warning: Before diving into this one, definitely check the author’s full trigger-warning list. This is a dark romance, and there are dub-con/non-con scenes and situations, particularly during the period from early college through senior year, before Harley learns the full story behind why Savannah did what she did.

During some of these scenes, Savannah’s internal dialogue lets the reader know that she is into what is happening and wants it. However, consent is complicated in these situations, and depending on how you interpret or feel about dub-con/non-con content, this book may not be for you.

Toward the end, when Harley and Savannah finally begin getting back on the same page, I personally would have liked to see more groveling from Harley and more demands for reparation from Savannah. That was probably the biggest thing keeping this from being a full five-star read for me.

I did LOVE the personal growth we see from both characters, especially Savannah. She goes from being timid, scared, and essentially someone else’s pawn to becoming a strong, confident woman who finds her own voice.

And I absolutely loved the side plot involving the brother-sister bond that develops with Logan! I have a feeling that relationship is going to come into play in the next book, and I’m definitely interested to see where it goes.

Overall, this was a solid 4.5-star read for me. A few plot points kept it from reaching a full five stars, simply because there were things I would have liked to see handled differently.

This was the kind of dark romance that had me completely hooked! These two had SO much history, anger, hurt, and unresolved feelings between them, and watching everything slowly unravel had me feeling every damn emotion. 😭🔥

I loved the push and pull between them. The way the hatred slowly starts giving way to the feelings that never really disappeared had me absolutely FERAL. And once the truth comes out? 👀 Yeah… I was invested.

S. Wilson brought all the delicious darkness, emotional turmoil, and tension that I want from a dark college romance. 🖤

Savannah Thomas and Liam Dicosimo absolutely brought these characters to life. Their emotional delivery made the anger, heartbreak, tension, and chemistry feel SO real. I was completely pulled into their story and their performances made it impossible to stop listening. 🎧🖤

While there might have been a slight bloom of attraction when Harley and Savannah were younger, there was also dislike. This is because of their families. Sadly, while both feelings were growing, it was the dislike that tore them apart. This is because of what Savannah did to Harley. He wanted her to pay and punish her. The more that Harley pushed, the deeper the attraction got.

The angst is real. As much as you might want to "hate" Harley for how he treats Savannah, you can't when you know that deep inside, he does care for her. Also, Savannah does not blame Harley for how he feels.

If you love immersive experiences, then, you are going to want to listen to the ALC version of this book. Performed in duet by Savannah Thomas & Liam DiCosimo. I loved listening to Liam and Savannah performing the audio version of this book. You could really feel the hate/love, and all the steamy moments that Harley and Savannah shared through Savannah and Liam's portrayals of them.

Okay this is the first book of S. Wilson that I experienced in audio.

I loved how their story started and then it went all wrong. Then came back the way they wanted. I love the fact that they found each other at the end. Sometimes messy things led to the perfect conclusion.

Prior to this book, I had read only 1 book by the author, which was Run to Me. I perused that book again (because I read it last year) to remember the author's writing style and the story.

After that, I started reading this book. Now this book in itself is well written with a good storyline. But there were certain things I disliked about the MMC.

Harley (the MMC)
We see a transition in Harley's character throughout the book. First he is a cocky teenager, then he is a gentleman trying to woo Savannah, then he is an asshole to Savannah after the betrayal and then he is back to a lovesick puppy after finding out the truth.
After he is betrayed , he wants to take revenge on Savannah and has feelings of deep hatred towards her. During that, he spots her in the library, forces her to give him a blowjob. Now the author does tell us from the FMC's POV that she wanted it, but Harley did not know that. In his mind, he was hurting and forcing Savannah and he was quite okay as well as turned on by that, which seemed a little disturbing. Honestly, I went in this book expecting someone like Enzo (from Run to Me) who was a very obsessed but caring guy. Harley on the other hand, was not like that. Although the author does mention dubious consent as a trigger warning, and Harley's one-eighty personality can be attributed to the fact that he is a college kid, but it still seems slightly malicious. He is also entitled even when he is supposed to be apologizing. He does apologize, but then he pretty quickly glazes over it and starts trying to convince her to forget the past and start afresh. There could have been a bit more groveling in my opinion.

Savannah
Her character was well written because we see a transition from a scared woman to someone who is confident. Earlier in the book, she is letting Harley use her sexually. To me, it felt like she thought she deserved it for ruining Harley who used to be a sweet guy and this is her sort of repentance. She does then become unsure of Harley after their repeated incidents and make him work a little for it.

For me, this book was overall somewhere between a 4 and a 4.5.
But I think that's just because there were things and tropes I personally disliked.
Overall, the book was good and is worth reading.

This story was a WILD ride! It took me on such a rollercoaster ride of emotions but I loved it! Savannah and Harley were absolutely adorable in the beginning of this story. Harley smitten for sweet Savannah and Savannah trying to play hard to get little to his own knowledge of protection. Savannah giving in was cute but to later find the out was devastating. Seeing Savannah come into her own, find her voice and way to protect herself from the chaos of her life was perfect and Harley! Oh Harley you were on my list with the stunts you pulled through the midsection of this book but thankfully he redeemed himself. When he found out everything and started to show Savannah that she was his was perfection! These two were perfect for each other. They both needed each other in ways I don’t think either of them knew! Savannah’s father is vile and I hope he had the day he deserved! Seeing the found family piece within the friend group was amazing. They are all a great team. I enjoyed this story. It truly was a hard one to put down.

Now a moment for the narrators! Savannah Thomas has a way of bringing stories to life that never disappoints. When I see she’s narrating, I am giddy to listen to her performances. Every time she narrates she sucks me in from go. The way she brought Savannah to life in this story was outstanding. She was able to take on Savannah’s character with such grace given all the trauma and emotions behind this girl. She was absolutely perfect for this role. Liam DiCasimo did a fantastic job narrating for Harley. The way he was able to go from sweet to bitter within his role was great. He was able to show the soft sweet side of Harley well while also his bitter betrayed part even better. He was perfect for Harley. I have not heard many stories by him and I hope he comes across my headphones again because he surly did not disappoint. This paring was perfect for this story. They both did an AMAZING job with this one. Go listen to this story! It’s a wild but amazing ride.

**A Heartfelt Second-Chance Romance**
This book is an emotional roller coaster(or ferris wheel- you'll get it when you read the book) filled with love, heartbreak, secrets, forgiveness, and redemption.

From the moment Harley meets Savannah, he falls for her instantly. However, Savannah has trust issues so opening her heart to someone isn't easy, Harley has to work to earn her trust. Just when Harley thinks he finally got through Savannah's walls he finds out that Savannah betrays him and everything chances—or at least that's what he believes.

With Harley being in the dark of Savannah's secrets and still believing that Savannah betrayed him, Harley grows to hate her and treats her bad throughout college even though in some ways he still wants her and despite the way he treats her, she silently endures the pain because being close to him means more to her than walking away.

When Harley eventually finds out why Savannah did the things she did , everything changes for him once again. Harley regrets he way he treated Savannah, of thinking that their time together was always with an ulterior motive. Determined to make things right, Harley doesn't give up trying to prove to Savannah that they both deserve a second chance but even when Savannah struggles to let go of the hurt and the past she went through with Harley, she slowly lowers the walls she built around her heart.

The stakes become even higher when Savannah is in danger, Harley terrified of losing Savannah once again, he does everything in his power with the help of his friends to bring her back safely. In the end, everything falls into place. The misunderstandings are resolved, old wounds begin to heal, and Harley and Savannah realize they were always meant to be together.

This one put me through it in the best way. I love a forbidden romance where she makes it VERY clear they can never be anything, and he basically hears, “Challenge accepted.”

He falls first and he falls HARD. Everything is going great until the baggage she’s carrying catches up with her and she’s forced to betray him. He has no idea why she did it, so he spends the next three years making her pay for breaking his heart.

Except she never stopped loving him.

That part absolutely got me. She takes whatever pieces of him he’s willing to give her because having some of him still feels better than having none. Meanwhile, he’s carrying around three years of anger because he genuinely believed what they had was real and can’t understand how she could destroy it.

Savannah Thomas had me completely in my feelings for her character. You can hear how much she still loves him and how badly everything between them hurts. Liam DiCosimo was SO good at giving you all of his anger while still letting you hear that there was so much underneath it. When the truth finally starts coming out and he realizes what actually happened? I was READY. I loved the grovel this man did.

Liam and Savannah were so good together in duet.

I also loved how necessary the found family was in this book. The side characters actually matter to their story and play a huge part in getting these two from years of hurt to an HEA they had to seriously fight for.

I loved where S. Wilson took this story. Their HEA felt earned after everything these two put each other through, and now I am VERY ready for Logan and I also need Enzo's story.

I loved the first two audiobooks, and this one is no different. This particular book focuses on Harley and Savannah and is a lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers story with bully romance vibes. These two become close during the summer before their freshman year of college, but Savannah’s father forces her to betray Harley and his family. However, Harley doesn’t know about Savanah’s father and believes she betrayed him of her own free will, fueling an overwhelming anger within him. You can hear how much she still loves him and how badly everything between them hurts. Liam DiCosimo was good at giving you all of his anger while, still letting you hear that there was so much underneath it.
They meet. They start hanging out — he falls first and he falls HARD. They are getting to know each other and everything is going great until it’s NOT! The demons she’s carrying catches up with her, leaving her to betray him. He has no idea why she did it, so he spends the next three years making her pay for breaking his heart. They were BOTH to blame and yes maybe Harley used her sexual but he shouldn’t be taking ALL the blame for it. That’s how it felt. That everyone around them was blaming him hardcore and that wasn’t fair. She even FULLY blames him which isn’t fair… she BETRAYED him first. God. This is driving me crazy. He used her for a bj/sex here and there. It wasn’t like she didn’t do worse to him/his family 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
Then the truth finally starts coming out and he realizes what actually happened…. I loved the grovel this man did.
My overall thoughts:
I didn’t care for this story AT ALL! The narration was great. However — the story could have been so much better. && the ending.. like seriously?! No epilogue. No notta.

Where do I even begin...? 😭
From the very first chapter, I was hooked. Harley falling first (and HARD) after just one meeting had me giggling the entire time. His inner monologues trying to convince himself it wasn't love while he was already thinking of nicknames for Savannah? Sir... be serious🤭
And Savannah... what an incredible FMC. Watching her navigate everything she'd endured broke my heart, but what stood out the most was her resilience. She didn't let her trauma define her. She learned how to survive, how to be strong, and when the time came, she fought back. That girl is an absolute fighter, and I admired her more with every chapter.
The chemistry between Harley and Savannah was EVERYTHING. Every conversation, every glance, every quiet moment had me smiling like an idiot. Their relationship felt so genuine, and watching it grow was such a rewarding experience.
I also have to give the biggest shoutout to the friend group because they were chaotic, hilarious, supportive, and always rooting for both of them. They brought so much warmth and humour to the story.
And THE CAMEOS??? 👀😭 I literally screamed when those familiar faces showed up.

The plot completely wrecked me emotionally. I laughed, blushed, cried, and had my heart shattered before it was carefully put back together again. Harley's determination to earn Savannah's forgiveness after his major screw-up was exactly what I wanted to see, and it made me root for them even harder.

Tons of suspense and steam with a HEA. The MMC changed his personality to fit the situation and the FMC grew and gained some self respect. No need IMO to be read this series in order.

Savannah as Savannah was everything — sweet but strong, with secrets and emotions woven into every little nuance of her performance. 💕 You could really feel her character’s emotions.
And Liam as Harley?! 😮‍💨🔥 Hurt, jealous, vindictive, passionate, and ridiculously protective. He brought that alpha protective energy that had me completely invested!
Plus, all the secondary characters had voices that fit them so perfectly and added even more to the experience.

I LOVED Savannah and Harley! I have religiously read every single book S. Wilson has written, and at this point, I'll read anything she puts out.

Because... WHAT DID I JUST READ??

Harley and Savannah: completely normal people.

The plot: ABSOLUTELY. COMPLETELY. UNHINGED.

I was losing my mind every other page. I genuinely need help because I am ridiculously obsessed with the absolutely chaotic characters and batshit plots S. Wilson keeps giving us.

Harley is somehow the most sane person in his group... until it comes to Savannah. Then all common sense leaves his body, and I LOVED every second of it. Savannah has some serious competition against me. Just saying.

And Savannah?? She's gorgeous, fearless, and an absolute badass. I'm not even ashamed to admit I have a girl crush on her. Apparently, Harley has an even bigger competition.

If you're looking for unhinged men, even more unhinged plots, and books that make you question everyone's sanity while having the time of your life... read S. Wilson.

Betraying Him by S. Wilson completely consumed me from the very first chapter. I went in expecting an emotional romance, but what I got was so much more—heartbreak, tension, secrets, chemistry, and a story that kept me thinking long after I finished the last page.

The emotional depth of the characters was incredible. They felt real, flawed, and relatable, making it impossible not to become invested in their journey. The chemistry between the main characters was electric, and every interaction had me either smiling, swooning, or completely on edge. The angst was perfectly balanced with heartfelt moments, making every twist hit even harder.

S. Wilson’s writing flows effortlessly, making this one of those books that’s impossible to put down. Every chapter left me wanting “just one more,” and before I knew it, I’d devoured the entire book. The pacing was excellent, and the emotional payoff was absolutely worth the journey.

If you love romance filled with tension, emotional healing, unforgettable characters, and all the feels, this book is a must-read. It’s one of those stories that reminds you why you love reading in the first place.

I loved the first two books, but this one….. was not my vibe.

First, I’m not a fan of bully, but I have read and enjoyed that trope before. But this one just didn’t work for me.

Second, Harley was completely obtuse. Literally it was irritating me so bad. He was mad at her, she wouldn’t communicate, he was still obsessed with her so was just acting like a jackass. I still finished it because I loved the first two books, but…. not my favorite plot, not my favorite MMC.

She’s like a skittish abused puppy, and he’s kind of a self centered moron? He just was not observant, and he was kind of…. not alpha? I mean, honestly… he’s like a realistic man? Which is not why I read dark romance 😂 sorry

And then the way he treated her? I mean, she was into it I guess.. I just…. didn’t like it personally.

I’m really excited for Logan’s book though!! And I loved the crossover with the Romano’s - I enjoyed their mafia books when I read them last year ❤️

I loved the way their story started. From them first meeting and how their relationship started and progressed until it all went wrong.
Then from them in college and how their love/hate relationship became.
Harley has so much anger within him towards Savannah, although you can feel the love he carries for her but he’s unwilling to allow that to show.
No matter what happened between them before college started, Harley is unable to stay away from her. With him hiding it beneath anger and hate.
Savannah has so much hate towards herself for doing what she did. Even knowing she had no control over it all.
Their book is amazing from start to finish. Their relationship developed beautifully, then broke down.
The way parental abuse was handled is phenomenal, showing that it may not be seen but there is abuse happening, whether that’s physically, mentally, emotionally, financially etc.
Abuse comes in all shapes and sizes, and can come from anyone, including those that are meant to love you unconditionally.
I lost it when Enzo and Izzy came in, like excuse me ma’am, that was a little secret that has been hiding for books and I’m absolutely here for it. They are both ‘psycho’ powerhouse characters and I’m so happy they popped in for chaos.

The first part of the book built such sweet foundations for the relationship between the FMC and MMC. Part of the same world of rich families with power and secrets till the FMC was forced to betray the MMC and his family changing him from the sweet fun character at the start to someone with a streak of darkness, something he has in common with the FMC who was also changed by her actions. Once they start university the MMC begins his revenge on the FMC in secret before his perception of everything comes crashing down. THIS BOOK. 😭 I went into this expecting a dark college romance, but Harley and Savannah’s story was so much more than that. This is a second chance dark college romance filled with secrets, betrayal, revenge, obsession, angst and redemption.

The FMC’s journey absolutely broke my heart. She was carrying so much that the MMC had no idea about and watching her deal with everything while keeping her secrets was devastating. But I LOVED seeing her grow throughout the story and become stronger 🥺🖤
The MMC!! Ugh. This man went through the full spectrum of emotions. He was sweet and completely gone for her then furious and determined to make her pay. When he realized he had everything wrong he was desperate to earn her forgiveness. His obsession with her was intense and I loved that he couldn’t stay away.
There were moments where I wanted to shake both of them 😂 but that’s what made their journey so emotional. I also really loved their friend group!

The narrators gave a 5 star performance with this one!

If you love a dark college romance with some heavy themes, second chances, obsessive MMCs, revenge, betrayal, secrets, angst, suspense and hard fought redemption, this one will take you on an emotional RIDE.

So, I just rode one hell of an emotional rollercoaster. I went in completely blind and holy crap, I was not ready. Did I have an absolute blast though? Hell yeah. Am I still thinking about this story? Absolutely.

Liam and Savannah were amazing in this! They truly brought this story to life through their narration. You could really feel the chemistry between Sav and Harley through them.

I devoured this story, from start to finish. I was absolutely hooked on the chemistry been Harley and Savannah. The plot most definitely plotted and the spice was spicing. So much suspense and secrecy. Safe to say I have become completely obsessed and I am now going to consume the rest of the series.

It’s book 3 in the series, but it reads as a standalone! Each book follows a different couple, and even with the characters intertwining, I never felt lost. LOVED that!

Savannah & Harlow are hitting forbidden love + second chance romance HARD! They meet in high school, and just as things finally blossom… it all comes crashing down. Now? They’re at the same college. 👀

What makes them forbidden is all the secrets, lies, and darkness in their pasts AND their present. The things we find out are CRAZY, but also heartbreaking.

The hate, the betrayal, the love… every scene is tense and SO freaking good. 😜 It gets very hot, if you know what I mean! 🔥

And that ending?! NOT what I expected, but I loved every second of it!

This duet narration was chef’s kiss. Savannah is a love and continues to show why she’s an amazing narrator! This was my first time listening to Liam, and WOW, his range shocked me in the best way. He’s got talent!

Wow. I devoured this book in two sittings. I was hooked. The chemistry between Harley and Savannah, the suspense, and the secrecy kept me guessing. I loved the protective vibe from Savannah's friends once she finally let them into her past. Her life was intense and dangerous, but she was strong and determined to escape the fate that awaited her. I truly loved reading this.

I'm definitely going to read the rest of the series!

Betraying Him was a great addition to the Blackwater University series. Each book has been a wild ride while captivating me in its world. Harley and Savannah's story had some sad elements, but I really enjoyed how they met and got to know one another before the betrayal. It's not all sunshine for them, though, and my heart hurt for Savannah throughout the storyline. Loved her friendship with Logan and how Lana took her in. Overall, another addictive story from this author, and I'm already anticipating the next book.

Savannah Thomas and Liam Dicosimo's narration was heartfelt and a perfect pairing for these characters. They were both easy to listen to and made the story come to life. Look forward to hearing them narrate many more books.

This is an opposites attract, he falls first, betrayal and secrets, found family, push and pull emotions, multiple POV, groveling, dark bully college romance.
This was such a great read! So many ups and downs, twists and turns, and push and pull emotions. I have enjoyed the entire series and I was hooked right from the start of this book until the end. I was really looking forward to getting Harley’s story and getting a deeper look at the other main characters from previous books was really fun. Harley and Savannah had a really intense journey that was hard fought for and won.
The narration for this audiobook was in complete duet and the voice actors did an amazing performance.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I would most definitely recommend this book and series!

I have been waiting for this book since the first book in the Blackwater University and the book did not disappoint me - S Wilson has written a fantastic book.
This book is based on Harley and Savannah who used to date until Harley believes that Savannah stabbed him in the back. From that point onwards, Savannah was the enemy. When it comes to light what actually happened, this book become a second chance storyline.
If you have triggers make sure you read them before you start reading the book. The book is very dark and Harley is absolutely obsessed with Savannah which leads him to do drastic things.
The spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and the storyline was overwhelming but yet emotional at times!
It does help to read the previous books in the series, it will help you understand the other characters as well as Harley and Savannah are entwined in the other two books!

This book is full of love, hate & redemption.
The banter the cute nicknames everything between them was so sweet until the betrayal
Savannahs dad was an absolute nightmare pure evil.

The audio narrated by Savannah Thomas & Liam Dicosimo who did a fantastic job portraying the characters. You really felt Savannahs anguish & guilt and Harley’s hate that wasn’t really hate.
The audio was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall the book was really good. I was hooked from the first couple of chapters. I listened to it in one sitting as I couldn’t stop it was really good.
