I love fairytale retellings, and this is definitely one of the better ones I’ve read. As a Rapunzel retelling, it keeps the familiar foundation of the original story while adding creative twists I never would have expected — and somehow they work perfectly.
The story is incredibly intriguing, with strong character depth that pulls you in from the start and makes it hard to put the book down. Rayne is such a compelling heroine, and I found myself rooting for her happiness the entire time. As an RH romance, the relationship development feels meaningful and earned. I kept wanting Rayne to get all her guys right away, but their pasts make them hesitant, which adds realism and emotional tension to the story.
One thing I really appreciated was how the author explored mental health — anxiety, stress, depression, and other struggles — in a way that felt authentic and layered into the characters’ journeys. It adds emotional weight and makes their growth even more satisfying.
This book truly gives you *all the feels*. It’s emotional, engaging, and romantic, with characters and relationships that stay with you after you finish. I love when a story can make me feel so many emotions, and this one absolutely delivered.

This is a very good story. It has all the feels. Rayne goes through so much hell. Escaping with her thought long lost best friend goes from hell to weird, strange, fun, steamy. They come accross some bear shifters and it gets even steamy-er. The fun doesn't last long, the hell comes back with a vengeance! Great characters, great world building.
