There's a lot to like here. When a story starts with, "I got nervous when the dog stopped writing me notes," you know it's going to be a fun one. "The Wrecking Crew" has "Stand By Me" echoes to it. When we turn to fantasy fiction, one can see the novel potential for the Luad Lachar / Bright Moon stories.
The third section, "Notices," wasn't my cup of tea, but that's okay. The only thing that kept my from fully enjoying this book was the need for a close copy edit to catch the homonyms, occasional missing or extra word, etc. There were just enough of these to bother me. That said, I understand the limitations of a small press. I would love to see the Bright Moon novel from Mark.
