When dealing vengeance, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Dira wants Simon dead.

This is not a surprise to Simon, as his successor, the only way she can get Kali’s mark is to eliminate Simon.

Except there’s a small problem.

Simon has been cursed alive.

When Dira finds a solution—weapons and power on a scale that make her a lethal threat, she discovers she possesses power that ensures she can end Monty, Simon, and Peaches.

It is this power that will allow her to take what she wants the most.

The Mark of Kali.

Now on a collision course, Simon and Dira must face-off one last time.

It will be a final confrontation—with only one survivor.

After the events of Deadeye a showdown with Dira, Simon's successor for the mark of Kali is inevitable. Many events lead up to that showdown.

As always, Simon and Monty have to go through some stuff as they prepare to face Dira. Many others are involved, as is much pain.

As always, Orlando Sanchez’s latest book Nemesis: A Montague & Strong Agency Novel is incredible. The dialogue, the philosophical issues underlying the interplay/discussions, the great characters, the plot, and of course Peaches. This book can be summarized by a quote in it-“Before, you saw in a mirror, darkly. Soon you will with more clarity.”

The gang back at it again in the new year of taking names and killing their enemies. Enjoyed the book but felt this definitely could’ve been combined with Deadeye. A lot of changes happens to Simon as he continues to grow in power and wisdom with an extra dose of pain. I feel like we’re now getting a glimpse of what Kali is wanting from Simon and who he’ll be facing because of being her marked one. We spent most of the series dealing with mage headaches which mostly stem from Monty and his family problems and now we’re getting both 😂.

This book FINALLY addresses a little of why Monty wasn’t cursed like Simon because he would’ve been the perfect marked for Kali desires especially with his power. Now thinking about it imagine Simone and Monty fighting who keeps the mark that would’ve been diabolical. Anyways off that worst case scenario, I knew Hecate was involved especially when Monty first mentioned his connections back in corpse road. It one of the series longest mysteries and now since Monty is mentioning this meaning the piper is coming to collect sooner rather then later.

I will always struggle with people not understanding Strong and literally repeating what they just said. i hate it. it is needlessly pedantic, and just frustrating to reread the same stuff over and over again. i am fascinated by Strongs journey but I am starting to have serious worries about the author and his relationship to pain with how much pain he puts Strong through in the name of getting stronger. i thought the ending was the right call but hate all the unflexible garbage that Strong is encountering and forcing him in weird situations. he did the right thing and is being punished. would like to see more fighting and Strong actually use his powers instead of people talking about them and how he has no clue how to use them yet. still 4 stars but I get more frustrated with the writing each book.

It is what you hold true that is your mark.

Simon continues to be tested, honed on the anvil of honor. For all that he is The Markef of Kali, Deathless, Bond-brother to Tristan, and Bond-mate of Peaches, Simon is himself and that might be the scariest of his titles.
Nemesis is something of a pivot in the M&S world in that Simon's growth is central to the story.
Orlando treats us to a deeper view of who Simon is and, I, at least, felt some of what makes the pantheons take note of both Simon and Tristan. There are deep plans afoot and I look forward to seeing them revealed.

Excellent

What a great addition to the M&S story. As always, someone is after M&S, and now they need to deal with this old/new threat. This is a more Simon-centered book. Simon reluctantly speaks to Kali, and during this conversation, she offers to “help” him. All help from a god has a price, and Kali’s price is steep.

Always action packed and always great reads. All of the M&S series are excellent.

Still a Fan but

The story getting repetitive. I believe it's time to give them a break and maybe up there skills, especially Simon, and maybe come at the situation from another angle. Maybe them starting something as they find their way in the world instead of reacting to others or something like that.

I would recommend this series to others if you're into the weak to strong, comical drama, logical dry humor and great characters.

Yet another great book in the series!

I do so love Simon & crew. Simon has grown into the idea he is no longer human and starting to get the scope of what his immortal existence means in the bigger picture if reality. Love seeing the growth of this team and always his inteteraction with our dear Peaches

Peaches!

What did I dislike? The books are never long enough. What did I love about the book? Keeping up with Peaches and company. The M & S universe has a wealth of characters, who are diverse and surprising. From Aria to Ezra, I am constantly amazed by the depth of the characters.
Just read the Books!

As ever a really good story, poor Strong is never going to have a good life, even though he does what he can to mitigate the curse and battle those who go against him. Peaches is mighty and manages to defeat evil controlling him because he loves Strong. I love the Zegna suit touch, the bits of humour and the fact that no matter what, Monty and Strong manage to win and remain united.

Another good addition to the series. Simon must defeat Dira. The ensuing adventure will keep you glued to the pages.

Good storyline, characters, action, and humor.

Now all I need is for Simon to look at his abilities and learn their capabilities. It's high time that he stops denying he's not completely human and embrace the magical side.

Another good one in the continuing saga of the trouble finds them trio.
Typo on page 166 according to my kindle. Only one I noticed.
Can’t wait to see what chaos awaits in the next book.

Outstanding

Terrific read. Fun, humor, and action. You will love this book if you love action, adventure, and the twisted web of fighting an half crazy, dark villain. Oh don’t forget Peaches, he is right there when needed.

Following straight on from the last book and the outcome of the battle with Dira, leaves the team struggling. They need to regroup and then end this constant attack. Unfortunately, for Simon this is going to prove very painful, as his Goddess upgrades him.

Montague and strong continue to fight psycho adversaries

Montague and strong continue their adventures with Peaches in town and will not stop until they put to rest those that stand against them. Adventures from start to finish. Excellent read

Excellent!

Another major growth spurt for our protagonists and one the feels earned within the context of the established lore. I look forward to seeing the battle form develop and Heaven help Simon with Nan and Tekeko. 😳

Outstanding!

The story is full of valor, courage, and heart. With a super-sized helping of smack-talk.
Kudos on the Hindu deity research and how they interact with each other.

Especially good

Kali is really scary. Simon is maturing. He still needs to learn to make meat that won’t make Peaches sick.

Another good read. I mean it’s book #29 and still going strong. And I’m still here reading everyone.

This was a good mix of action, humour, story and growth (Simon).

Poor Simon

He always gets put on the line for everything. Really enjoyed some of the fun discussing chaos hair and eyes and my eyes were only a little damp for bondmate love.

Finally!

Simon finally faces Dira, and settles their feud. Of course, that just exposes a more powerful menace, as usual, so no fear of things quieting down soon.

when removing an opponent could cause more problems

Wrongs need to be righted and opponents needs to be removed but what when there’s a conflict of interests?
Simon gets to experience his own upgrade and face Dira the current successor but removing Dira will not bring about the peace he craves. Complications just seem to follow. If only his life was as simple as Peaches believes. Meat is life after all.

Once again, you’ve hit it out of the park, well done! But I can’t stand the suspense. Write faster. I have to go find a large steak, meat is life
