One Step Further

Rate this book
One step changed everything. Going further might change them both.

Elias is finally starting to believe in a future he never thought he deserved—one built on love, stability, and the quiet certainty of Jacob by his side.

Jacob has always been the steady one. The protector. The man who shows up. But loving Elias means confronting the parts of himself he’s spent years avoiding—and making choices that don’t come with easy answers.

As new opportunities and old wounds begin to pull at the life they’re building, Elias and Jacob discover that moving forward together isn’t just about holding on. It’s about trust. Vulnerability. And choosing each other when the future feels uncertain.

One Step Further is a tender, emotional MM romance about deepening love, difficult choices, and the courage it takes to keep stepping forward—together.

Book Two of the Our Steps Together series.

K.M. Wood is a romance writer from Birmingham, UK, who has been creating stories since his schooldays—often scribbling plot twists in the margins of homework. He writes emotional, slow-burning love stories that ache before they bloom, exploring connection, longing, and the quiet intensity of falling for the wrong person at the right time. When he’s not writing, you’ll find him reading, overanalyzing song lyrics, or imagining new ways to break readers’ hearts (gently)

Just finished reading it.
I did not expect to be crying so much in the morning lol, that book was so sweet. Properly touched on how grief touches differently and how dealing with it feels.
How a strong relationship can stop a spiral into darkness. Eli always being there for him through everything why still trying to keep himself strong.
Seriously can't wait for the next book 🥰 x

I like the story, but it needed a beta reader. There are a lot of crutch words which are taking me out of the story.
If it were cleaner, it would read smoother; words similar to "like, kind, something."
I was being told a story, and there was little to no showing.
