Vengeance made her a weapon.

Truth will turn her into something far more dangerous.

Nadia Ivanov spent years hunting the monsters responsible for her family's murder, never knowing she was serving the very vampire who destroyed everything she loved. When the truth comes to light, her world collapses...and only one person stands between her and the darkness waiting to claim her.

Winston, an ancient vampire bound by honor, and battling his own demons, becomes her unlikely ally. Together they plunge into a hidden war where bloodlines bear old curses, loyalty is a razor's edge, and trust is the most perilous gamble of all.

Bound by a shared thirst for justice, where the damned have no place to hide. Nadia and Winston must confront enemies who thrive in the shadows, and the fragile, forbidden bond that sparks between them. Because in a world where love can redeem or ruin, freedom for the living and the damned demand a sacrifice no one is ready to make.

3.75 stars! This was an interesting continuation of this world, I love the idea that vampires can be morally grey and that not all of them are bad. The idea that beings of their own kind can be such great enemies is sad but truly mirrors how things can be in real life. I love the chemistry and evaluation between the FMC and MMC. Although I feel at some points in the book, things were a little hard to keep track of, I am definitely interested in reading more books by this author!

Book 2 brought us right back in to where the first book left off. Winston has left on his solo mission, hoping to ease this pull he feels and understand why he feels it. Nadia is going home to find answers to the lies she has been told. On their journey we meet a lot of new characters whose stories will weave into the goal The Knights of Darkness are fighting for. The ending gave some closure, but also left you on a cliffhanger.

After the ending in the first book, No Port For the Wicked, I could not wait to jump into this second book!!
Winston and Nadia's story was fantastic, so much tension and build-up!!! Mystery, danger, betrayal, action packed, vampires, witches, and so much more, I didnt want to put this one down! And I absolutely adored Saint, that's definitely a beast after my own heart!!
Highly recommend!!!
