A lot of things were happening, either sloppily developed or supported.
The story was distracted from its main focus by subplots, which made it longwinded.

I was left with many questions regarding situations and characters.

Book 2 - Avenged Vows (duet) The Sullivan Mafia series by Kira Cole.

Book 2 starts with a big bang mafia style, the fierce Ciara goes out alone, to save her best friend Mira from real danger. Ronan when he finds out, goes feral trying to save them both.
His family, and friends are being targeted, there's a mole inside his most trusted circle. Danger, death is all around them, nowhere is safe. His family reputation is held by a thread.
Kira Cole keeps you guessing, who's betraying the brother's Sullivan's trust, and putting their business in serious trouble, especially the ones they love the most. Mafia is a dangerous business.
The story gets more interesting when Ciara finds out she is pregnant.
The plot thickens as we go, and I have a feeling that we have a lot more to discover as the series continues with this Mafia Family some of the threats are still around them all.

Kieran is the next target!!! He is the 2nd eldest and an important part of the business. His story is the next one book 3.

To be honest I am not the biggest fan of cliffhanger books. I prefer longer books within a series, but That's just my preference.
This book ends a bit too abruptly in my opinion, I would have liked to see an epilogue on the couple and the ongoing pregnancy.

I'm assuming that book 3 in the series will pick up where Avenged Vows left off. The steam & spice🌶️ 🔥 continues with our hot Ronan & Ciara. They definitely have some ups and downs as they become a real couple, and fall in love.
This was a fast pace read. You do need to read them in order.
We get to know each of the brothers a little better in this book.
I definitely recommend this duet! 🙌

I liked the first book better than this one. Ciara made me crazy and she was so annoying. I rarely dislike the FMC but she was dumb. The book was ok otherwise, if not predictable.

“Avenged Vows” is the second book in “The Sullivan Mafia Series.” The story continues….features brutal payback, possessive devotion, high-stakes fallout and a hard-won happily ever after. Ronan Sullivan has just taken over as head of the Sullivan Irish Mob after his father was recently assassinated. Ciara McCarthy is the daughter of the deceased head of the McCarthy Family, that is now disgraced. “The McCarthy name was once a force to be reckoned with, a reference. Now, it is a curse.” Now it is just herself and her brother Callum that are left. The life her father worked so hard to build for them has crumbled before their very eyes. The Sullivans dismantled her family and its legacy piece by piece until there was nothing left.

The story continues…. When Ciara’s best friend Mila is kidnapped and her brother killed, instead of waiting for Ronan, she goes by herself. “If Mila’s life wasn’t at stake, I would have listened. I would have gladly waited for him to come and play hero.” Ronan is angry at her for no waiting but “can’t deny that part of me is fiercely proud of what she did to save her friend. She’s braver than anyone I know. Stupidly brave, but brave all the same.”

The Sullivan family is under attack, from inside and outside. They have a traitor within the ranks that is putting the families name and reputation that his father spent years building at risk. “Whoever orchestrated this is behind my father’s assassination. It’s clear they want to destroy what’s left of the McCarthy legacy, but mine too.” With Ronan being so cold and distant, she finds out that she is pregnant with his child. She knows that he wants children, but does he want them with her….”He’ll probably just think it’s some ploy to fix things between us.”

Ciara is getting angrier at him, he locks himself away in his office or out with his brothers, ignoring her, cutting her out….emotionally and physically, she is drained. Not knowing what to do, where she stands anymore, if he even cares. “I’m tired, Ronan. I’m tired of being your emotional punching bag. I’m hurting too, but you only seem to care about how any of this affects you.” Their relationship is at a crossroads….but everything comes to a head when Ciara is kidnapped and he finds out that she is pregnant! “I was scared, Ronan. Scared of what this would mean for us, scared of how you would take it.” Their relationship is complicated and confusing….”I want you to know that I would burn the world for you too, Ronan.”

The story is full of passion, humor, intrigue, betrayal, vengeance, power, control, twists and turns around every corner - most of all love ♥️ There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! The book goes from pages that sizzle, to extreme violence, to the most beautiful tender moments! You will fall in love with Ronan and Ciara, hoping that everything with work out for them and that they have a future together.

“Ronan leans in to kiss my forehead, and I sink into his touch like it’s my lifeline. My whole body relaxes at the feel of his warm lips, the tension in my muscles that have been coiled so tight starting to unravel.”

I love these two characters! The story is full of passion, intrigue, betrayal, vengeance, power, control, twists and turns around every corner. There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! The book goes through moments of the thoughts or possibilities that it could happen to, to extreme violence to the most beautiful tender moments! I’m very happily hooked! I did not want it to end! From page to page, chapter to chapter, I could not put it down - you will metaphorically be on the edge of your chair! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

This si the continuation of Shattered Vows which is book 1 of the Sullivan Mafia Series. Book 1 left us on a cliff hanger with our very brave but very hardheaded Ciara walking into a dangerous situation with no back up.

Ronan begs her to stay out until he get there to help but Ciara has always taken care of herself and this time will not be the exception.

This book follows their journey of figuring each other out, realizing that they indeed love each other and that the Sullivan organization has a mole.

I loved this story and I love these characters. As frustrating as Ronan is, I appreciate the encouragement the rest of the family and staff give Ciara that he does love her and they have never seen him this crazy before about anyone or anything. But don’t twist it, dude has some serious possessive and over protective issues.

The betrayal to the family is still ongoing and I have a feeling I know who it is but Kira has a way of keeping you on your toes throughout all her books so I will just have to keep reading to see if I am right.

If you love mafia romance, dark romance, morally gray book boyfriends, stubborn, independent females and lots of action this series is for you. It keeps you hooked and guessing with each chapter.

I love Kira’s writing style and her books never leave me disappointed. Start with book 1 of the Sullivan Mafia series and fall in love with your next story.

Avenged Vows is the second book in The Sullivan Mafia Series and it starts right where the Book one Cliffhanger left us, which was where Ciara was going to Mila’s rescue, and Ronan racing to get there. After rescuing Mila, she moves into Ronan and Ciara’s house for protection. The Sullivan name is in danger of losing its good reputation and loyalty that Ronan’s father spent all those years building, there is definitely a mole releasing information and they can’t figure out who it is yet! Ronan and his brothers are working all hours, and it’s making Ronan short tempered and fearful for Ciara’s safety.
Ciara’s is keeping her pregnancy a secret from Ronan because he is completely on edge, not sleeping, out of the house so often, because every time she has tried to tell him he has cut her short because he is working, or going out! Ronan and Ciara are facing more danger, betrayal and at the same time their relationship is constantly changing. The chemistry between them is absolutely off the charts. It this is not enough to get them through the other issues, do they get their happy ever after!

This was supposed to be a business arrangement nothing more but a strategic plan...until it wasn't. Ciara knows what she wants, knows what she deserves. She's an outspoken MFC which I love, too often they're soft spoken & don't speak their minds but Ciara does. When Ronan is hot one minute & can't keep his hands off her & the next he's pushing her away. He wasn't raised with love or knowing the importance of a loving relationship; he was raised to lead the Mafia, to break others, & not to build them up. Ciara is at a crossroads with a major decision when she finds out she's unexpectedly pregnant with Ronan's baby. She doesn't know what he wants because he doesnt communicate well. And let's be honest they've been together for such a short period of time. Ciara & Ronan each keep their own secrets but what happens when Ronan's world is flipped upside down & Ciara is in danger what will he choose; will he burn the world down & put the Mafia aside to choose her Or will he put the family business first? Ciara & Ronan burn hot & its a beautiful relationship you watch them build. Definitely recommend!.

Arc Review

Firstly let’s start with the muse on the cover. Perfect muse for Ciara. Covers do make a difference in my opinion to the character.

Moving along. We were left on a cliffhanger and this continued directly into the storyline. The storyline continues. Saving Mila is Ciara’s goal. But who is behind it all?

Ronan Sullivan is under constant pressure. Not just fighting to save shipments and merchandise, but fighting to save everything The Sullivans have built. No one is going to take this away from him. It has become a declaration of war not revenge.

There is a traitor amidst them. Is time running out on them? Who is it and what do they want?

Ciara’s & Ronan’s partnership was quite a whirlwind. The one thing they both failed to achieve for a while was “trust”. They fought many hurdles to get to where they are now.

Do not like spoiling contents as each reader needs to have their own opinions. This was full of -

* revenge
* territory/power
*TRUST
*declaration
* lives worth fighting for

* highly sexual, but is that always the answer?

The Sullivans storyline is not over as we are leading into Kieran next. More drama and further adventures.

In the previous book in the duet, Ciara pulls a TSTL by going to perform a rescue mission without backup. This picks up where that left off.
Ronan and Ciara were arranged as a business plan, but you’d never guess that from the heat level. Really good sexytime, but there’s energy they have between them whenever they’re in a room together is intense, and not just sexxual. I think they are actually well-suited.
Now Ciara is pregnant, because of course she is, and she doesn’t tell Ronan because of course she doesn’t. SMH. The man is incredibly stressed, granted. There is definitely an enemy within and it has pushed Ronan to the edge. He’s a J/P hero at the best of times, and I have no idea why that’s so sexxy in books because IRL it would make me crazy. Well, crazier. There’s something about an Alpha, that je ne sais quoi…
I enjoyed this book, partly because of this same je ne sais quoi, and partly because together they are fire. There’s a bit too much manufactured drama/TSTL action in this duet for me to be giving it five stars, but it was entertaining as heck and Kira Cole is a very good writer.

Wow, the story of these two was simply steaming. It's not just the intimate frisky scenes between the two of them either, they can talk pretty dirty and then he's got a temper. You absolutely must read the first book before reading the second one or you will be lost and confused.  This second book is a continuation of Ronan and Ciara's story and their stuggle with their relationship with each other and with the mafia. The story starts right off with a pretty intense event and then continues on from there. The story has several twists to it. One in particular I didn't really see coming. Like with most mafia stories there's usually a "rat." I thought about who it was and thought, no its not him then thought hmm maybe, then thought no its someone else. . . then bam we find out who it is. Good amount of violence, drama and suspense in the story for me, it kept me reading the story all the way through in one sitting.

Should have known that book 2 would also end up on a cliffhanger and unfortunately for me, book 3/4 don’t come out till the end of the month.

Ronan and Ciara were sooo annoying at times. In the beginning I thought he acted like a spoiled man child. Sometimes even a bit mean. But she never listened and put herself into harms way more then needed. She also kept her pregnancy a secret for far too long and that of course annoyed me. They kept a lot of secrets from each other and of course were always found out.

“The air leaves my lungs in a sharp gasp as I look into his dark eyes. This man. This fierce, brutal, terrifying man would burn the world down for me, and that realization is enough to break me all over again.” -Ciara (it wouldn’t be a mafia, romance without the “burn the world down declaration”. I would actually be seriously disappointed if it wasn’t said at least once.)

I like this author. Her books are simplistic, easy reads but entertaining.

Part two of Ronan and Ciara’s story brings the tension way up and kept me hooked from start to finish. This installment is packed with suspense, secrets, and intrigue as everything starts to unravel around them. The stakes feel higher, the emotions run deeper, and the danger is very real.

I really enjoyed the layers of mystery, betrayal, and the constant feeling that something was about to explode. The mafia elements, possessive devotion, and looming consequences kept the pages turning. While some moments were frustrating in that “just talk to each other” way, it fit the chaos of their situation.

Overall, Avenged Vows delivers a suspenseful, emotional continuation that wraps up Ronan and Ciara’s story while setting the stage nicely for what’s to come next in the Sullivan Mafia series.

This book completely held my attention from start to finish and was a true page-turner. The romance between Ciara and Ronan was beyond hot and undeniably spicy, filled with emotional ups and downs that made their connection feel intense and real. Their chemistry kept the story moving just as much as the plot itself, blending passion with tension in a way that was hard to put down.

Alongside the romance, the mystery of who the murderer is continues to deepen, adding suspense and keeping me guessing until the very end. The story closes on a major cliffhanger, leaving so many questions unanswered and making it impossible not to want more. I’m already eager to continue the series and dive deeper into the lives and secrets of the Sullivan brothers.

Avenged Vows is book two of the Sullivan Mafia Series and centers around Ciara And Ronan. Every word, every moment, held my attention and was beyond gripping, having me rushing from one page to the next to learn what happens.

Ciara and Ronan had unbelievable chemistry between them. The spice was beyond hot. Their story was filled with emotional ups and downs that really accentuated on how raw, real and undeniable their connection is. It was that connection and passion that really bled through the entire plot, making it all the more enticing and phenomenally well-written. It just pulls you in and doesn't let go.

The mystery surrounding who the murderer was had me nearly pulling out my hair in suspense to learn who it was, and though the book ended on a cliffhanger, it was written and fleshed out so perfectly. I can't wait for more of this series!!

Avenged Vows, book two in the Sullivan Mafia series continues from the ending of book one, with Ciara going to rescue her best friend Mila. As Ronan digs deeper into what’s been happening behind his back, he discovers that not everyone is as loyal as they seem and the Sullivan name is on the verge of being ruined forever when a mole targets Ronan, messing around with his shipments and causing chaos. All while this is happening, Ciara discovers she’s pregnant, but with everything that is happening, she worries about telling Ronan the truth. Can she keep her pregnancy a secret, even when all of their lives are in danger? And what happens when the mole begins to target the rest of the Sullivan brothers?
I can’t wait to read the next installment, and see what happens to the rest of the brothers.

Avenged Vows is the second part of The Sullivan Mafia series. It is well-written and suspenseful.

This story picks up from the first story. Ciara has gone to rescue her friend Mila who had been kidnapped. Ronan realizes he has people who are not loyal to him. There is someone who is causing problems for his business. Ciara finds out she is pregnant but keeps that from Ronan. Ronan is worried about her protection since her family name is being threatened. Even though their relationship started out as a transaction, Ciara is falling for Ronan.

I loved how strong Ciara was and believed in fighting for the ones she loved. I loved the friendship she had with Mila. The chemistry between Ciara and Ronan was so good. I look forward to the next story.

This is book 2 of the series and the continuation of Ronan and Ciara. I loved everything about this couple. They definitely had a lot of ups and downs. There was a whole lot of suspense and heat. When people are after Ronan and his family all they can do, is stick together to keep themselves safe, their reputation safe and the newest member of the family alive and well. I love the Sullivan Brothers and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I still have questions….the one person I thought was the traitor all
Along sees to be incorrect but, I’m sure in the coming books we will learn he plays a vital part in everything happening. I still stand behind my first opinion that Ciara is my
Most favorite female character! Such a great story between Ronan and Ciara and can’t wait to see how their bond gets stronger.

At the end of the previous book, Ciara was going to Mila's rescue. Ronan was right behind her. They are able to rescue Mila and kill her kidnapper. Ciara and Mila are under Ronan's roof for protection.
The Sullivan family is under constant threat which makes Ronan short tempered and fearful for Ciara's safety. They know there is a mole but can't figure out who it is.
There is a spectacular surprise ending which is somewhat of a tragedy, but in the end part of the threat is neutralized.
I loved this story, it was complex, with lots of surprises with plenty of heat between Ciara and Ronan.
I look forward to the next book in the Sullivan Mafia series.

This is the 2nd story in The Sullivan Mafia Series where we find Ciara and Ronan navigating their marriage with Ronan set on running his Mafia against those out to take him down and destroy his life. Ciara does the one thing she never wanted to do…fall in love with her husband and hold on to her pregnancy that she’s unable to share with Ronan. The connection these two have is spicy that has its ups and downs. Ronan cherish’s family above all so when he includes Ciara he’ll do whatever is necessary to keep her safe while figuring out their mole who is betraying family for revenge. Kira keeps you turning the pages with all the twists and turns that you dont see coming. Ronan is trying to find out who the mole is in his ranks, and Ciara is on lockdown with full protection, even at home. Will Ronan be able to find the mole in time and keep his family safe? Will Ronan and Ciara ever get their HEA?

Omg .... a continuation from book1....and again it had it all....romance, action, suspense and abit of laughter. There's also family dynamics...

I devoured the duet in a day.

Ronan becomes the Pakhan, after the unexpected assination of his father.
He fulfill his father's last wish by marrying Ciara.

Ciara, marries him to avenge her father's death.

But after the marriage sparks fly between these 2, with Ronan trying his best to treat Ciara as a business transaction.

But love in the end wins with both of them admitting their feelings.

This duet is the start of the Sullivan Mafia Series and I can't wait for the 2nd duet with Ronan brother Kieran.

Ronan and Ciera are in the midst of a war where there is a mole in the organisation and Betrayal everywhere.

The drama sure ramps up as is the suspense. Ronan is dealing with secrets and lies as well as his relationship issues with Ciera. They have the passion down pat but the communication needed work.

So well done. I loved the brothers and how they back each other up. This duet seems to be the start of a new series and I for one can't wait for more. So amazing!.

The drama carries on in book two of the Sullivan Mafia family and Ronan and Ciara's story carries on as before, fighting and loving sometimes on the same night.
There are so many things going in at the same time, someone is trying to stop all businesses, legal or otherwise.
There is a traitor that nobody suspects at first, and finding who's really behind everything takes time they don't really have.
The brothers are still at odds with each other but when needed the brother's united as one.
A great second book.

Really great story. Non stop action and suspense. I was taken by surprise by who the traitor was, which rarely happens, which makes this an even better book. Who I suspected is still in the game, but I think his role will show up in later books.
I think this book was a little long, which I don’t often say. For all the action, the ending was cut a bit short.
All in all, loved all the characters. Can’t wait to get know more about the other brothers.

Wow! This book was a complete roller coaster ride! Ciara seems to be a magnet for trouble, and Ronan has a hard time keeping himself under control. But what happens when they are both hiding major secrets that can make or break their marriage?
This book kept me on my toes, just when things seem to start to settle down, another twist or something significant would happen! Not only did I love Ciara and Ronan, but I’m hoping that Mika might find happiness, too! And Kieran…I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT COMES NEXT!!!!

Avenged Vows is book 2 in The Sullivan Mafia series and picks up Ronan and Ciara's story where Shattered Vows left off. This journey with these characters has been nothing short of fantastic! Ronan and Ciara kept me glued to the pages. These Sullivan brothers are hysterical at times and at other times they'll have you quaking in your boots. And Ciara is a force to be reckoned with herself. I'm completely in love with these Sullivan's and I can't wait for Kieran's story next!

You will find that this book is AMAZING and a perfect 5 star read just like book number one in this series. Kira blows these two books out of the water. You're going to find that this book has the same perfect characters and a PHENOMENAL storyline with some surprises along the way. All I can say is that you are going to really fall hard and fast in love with these 2 books by Kira. OMG I can't wait to see what brilliant stories she writes next for me to read.

Ciara and Ronan return...
What a great ending to Ciara and Ronan's story!
Their story was filled with drama, suspense, danger, secrets and more.
We also get to see the growth in each main character as well as their relationship with each other.
All the emotions between them, the chemistry, spicy times, and falling in love.
Ronan and Ciara's journey was quite far from easy. However, I was very happy with their ending. They deserved a HEA!
