‘Someone wanted the Linhalls gone. Someone wanted me to forget. But I remember. I remember everything. And I'm not done yet. Not even close.

I'm still here.

I'm still burning.

And this time, I'll burn back’

I loved this book. The plot, the writing, the characters - Just everything about it was fantastic to me.
The plot follows Emilia, who is trying to heal from her childhood trauma. By suggestion of her therapist, she returns to her hometown to unlock her repressed memories and solve the mystery of what happened to the Linhall family.

First I want to talk about the writing. I found the book easy to read, I finished it in just over a day which is the fastest I have finished a book in a long time! It was well written, I have written so many quotes that I relate to. It was hard to pick just one for this review. I will say if you have dealt with any trauma the quotes may hit close to home but it made me love it so much more!

The plot is fast paced and kept me intrigued until the end. I didn’t want to put it down! I liked most of the characters, of course there was one we should collectively agree to hate for good reasons 🤣 The rest I liked! I was fully convinced I knew what happened to the Linhalls but the twist proved otherwise, it was something I never would’ve suspected! I also loved how we read about Emilia healing from her trauma at the end, it made the ending really satisfying for me and it shows there is always light at the end of the tunnel ❤️‍🩹
