He’s great at following orders… until she breaks all his rules.

Leif Andersson

SEAL. Fighter. Master of keeping people at arm’s length. After years hunting terrorists and living by the book, I need out—of the noise, the war, the weight of everything I’ve seen. Bronze Bay, Florida, is supposed to be simple. Quiet town. New SEAL base. No drama. No strings.

Then I meet Malena Winterset—beautiful, busy, and exactly the kind of complicated I don’t do. So I set the two forms of birth control, don’t leave anything at my place, never meet my family, and don’t fall in love. Easy enough... until it isn’t.

Malena Winterset

My life is full—just not the kind of full that leaves room for dating. I plan town events, work at the general store, and care for my mother as dementia slowly takes her away. My dad bailed when things got hard. I stayed.

Then Leif walks in—gorgeous, guarded, and impossible to ignore. I know better than to get involved with a man who makes rules like that... but life has a way of making you break them. Three of his four rules? Already shattered. And the fallout is more than either of us saw coming.

Sometimes, love doesn’t follow the rules.

Return to Bronze Bay in Tossing It, a heart-stealing small-town military romance packed with heat, depth, and the rules we break when love gets real. Perfect for fans of Slow Burns, Second chances, and SEALs who fall hard. Start reading now!

**Thanks to Rachel and Hambright for giving me an advance copy in exchange for my honest review**

Maybe I am the only one but I felt like I didn't get enough connection between them before they fell for each other. I dont mind a quick love but I felt like both of them were so guarded before they both admitted to themselves they had feelings.

Aside from that, I thought both characters were delivered well, the story was well written and had a lot of emotions behind it. You can tell the author really wanted you to have a lot of feeling while reading it!

I wasn't sure how the end was going to go, I was sad while reading it but I'm so glad it ended to happily ☺️.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tossing It by Rachel Robinson is a Navy SEAL romance packed with secret baby, second chance, small-town chaos, and a damaged hero who will absolutely steal your heart. This was my first read by Rachel Robinson and OMG—I was on the edge of my seat from page one. I could not put this book down.

Set in the small town of Bronze Bay, Florida—where everyone knows everyone, gossip spreads fast, and privacy is nonexistent—this story adds in gorgeous Navy SEALs and honestly… what could go wrong? A no-strings-attached arrangement between Leif Andersson and Malena Winterset quickly turns into something far deeper, more emotional, and completely unforgettable.

Leif Andersson is tall, handsome, a true gentleman, and a Navy SEAL who falls first and falls hard. He loves deeply, wears his heart on his sleeve, and has zero hesitation when it comes to Malena. Once he knows what he wants, nothing is going to stand in his way—and that devotion had me swooning hard.

Malena Winterset is the town’s event planner—brave, bold, and vulnerable all at once. She puts herself out there to be loved, even when she believes she doesn’t deserve it. The push and pull between them, the “rules,” and the struggle to turn a no-strings-attached fling into something real made for such an emotional ride.

The banter had me laughing, the emotional moments completely gutted me, and I went through every feeling possible—swooning, cursing, smiling, and even having to put the book down to breathe because it hit so hard. This was truly an emotional roller coaster, and every second was worth it.

Tossing It releases Tuesday, January 20, and if it’s not already at the top of your TBR, it absolutely needs to be.

Thank you to Rachel Robinson and Hambright PR for the opportunity to read this eARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book completely captured my attention from the very first page. It wasn’t overly long, which made it the perfect one-sitting read—I couldn’t put it down!

The dementia storyline truly hit close to home for me because of my grandmother, and I thought the author handled it with so much care and authenticity. I absolutely adore small-town romances, and adding a Navy SEAL MMC made this an instant win for me. Plus, the fact that he fell first? Always a personal favorite.

I also really loved how the unplanned pregnancy trope was portrayed and how the characters worked through it together—it added so much emotional depth to their relationship. Overall, this was an easy, cozy read that still tugged at my heartstrings. If you’re looking for something that’s comforting yet emotional, I definitely recommend this one.

Thank you to HamBright PR and the author for providing me with an ARC—I’m so grateful to have had the chance to read and review this story. ✨

TOSSING IT by RACHEL ROBINSON ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tossing It is the second (#2) book in the BRONZE BAY SEALS series

Leif Andersson is looking for a quieter life, with less drama so when the SEAL is sent to Bronze Bay in Florida, it looks like he’s getting everything he needs.

When he meets Malena Winterset he is instantly attracted to her but before they get involved he sets rules: two types of contraception, no meeting family , no leaving her stuff at his house and DEFINITELY no falling in love.

It’s not long before all the rules start flying out the window but when Leif is deployed and Malena hides a secret it seems that their perfect life together isn’t so perfect anymore…..

————————————

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this deliciously emotional read. Make sure you have a box of tissues at the ready!

I love Rachel’s writing style, she paces this delightful read perfectly, the chemistry between the pair is spot on and she squeezes every ounce of emotion into this story.

Leif and Malena are a perfectly matched couple. Despite Leif claiming his doesn’t do romance or relationships, he soon changes his mind and goes out of his way to be supportive to Malena. I adored his character, whilst he might be a big, butch, muscled SEAL he actually had a very caring, thoughtful side.

Malena is a strong feisty woman. She’s had so much bad luck throughout her life that she doesn’t expect anything good to happen so she’s reluctant to open her heart.

There are a couple of events that happen throughout this story that are extremely emotional and really got my heart pounding and my stomach churning. Whilst I won’t spoil it by saying what they are, suffice to say they were dealt with extremely sympathetically, just perfectly.

There is some open door spice in this book but nothing until half way through, and everything there is very tastefully done and highlights the progression of their relationship.

I read an ebook copy of the book, with just under 250 pages and a ‘bronzed’ couple cover, I highly recommend this book!

With thanks to Rachel Robinson and Hambright PR for an early copy of this wonderful read. All comments are my own honest, unbiased opinion.

This was my first read by author Rachel Robinson and OMG was I on the edge of my seat while reading Tossing It. The book had me hooked from page one and I could not put it down. This was such an emotional roller coaster of a ride with my heart in my throat the whole time. Leif and Malena’s love story was so emotional as they navigated through their journey to find their happy ending. The story takes place in Bronze Bay, Florida, this is a small town just like any other small town where everyone knows everyone, everyone is in your business and the gossip is off the walls. Now add some gorgeous Navy Seals and honestly what could go wrong?

Leif Anderson, tall, handsome ,a true gentleman and a Navy SEAL. He loves deeply, wears his heart on his sleeve and doesn’t have any hidden motives or hesitation on how deeply he loves and cares for Malena and yes he absolutely falls first and he falls hard. He knows what he wants and nothing is going to stop him or stand in his way. Malena Winterset, the event planner in town who is brave and bold all mixed together, put herself out there to be loved even though she believed that she did not deserve that love. The push and pull, the “rules” that they have and trying to go from this just being a no strings attached fling to something more is quite the ride.

The banter in this book made me laugh and the emotional moments hit me hard and gutted me. I swooned, I cursed, I laughed and I had moments where I had to put the book down and walk away because of how emotional certain parts of the book were. It really was an emotional roller coaster ride, but well worth it. Tossing It is releasing on Tuesday, January 20 and if it is not at the top of your TBR list it needs to be! Tossing It is about Leif, a Navy SEAL, and Malena, a small-town woman who falls in love with him knowing his life is filled with danger and uncertainty. Their love is intense and real, but deployment, distance, and silence slowly break them apart. A painful misunderstanding changes everything, leaving Malena with a life-altering secret. War, loss, and fate push them to their limits before love is given one more chance to survive.
This book broke my heart softly and then slowly healed it in the most beautiful way. The emotions were strong from the very first chapter and only grew deeper with every page. Leif is a deeply emotional and protective hero who loves fiercely, while Malena is strong, gentle, and painfully realistic. Their love felt raw, messy, and incredibly human.
The angst in this story was perfectly balanced and never felt overdone. The secret baby trope was handled with care, emotion, and maturity, making every choice Malena made feel understandable and heartbreaking at the same time. The military romance element added constant tension and fear, making the emotional moments hit even harder.
I loved how this book showed that silence, even when meant as protection, can cause the deepest wounds. The miscommunication hurt, but it also made the story feel real and meaningful. The writing was smooth, emotional, and completely addictive. I found myself highlighting lines, rereading scenes, and feeling everything alongside the characters.
This was an emotional, angsty, and heartfelt romance that stayed with me long after I finished reading. A beautiful story about love, sacrifice, forgiveness, and second chances that I truly adored.

Robinson delivers a solid, high heat military romance in Tossing It, balancing the grit of a Navy SEAL’s life with the emotional weight of small town responsibilities. It’s a compelling addition to the Bronze Bay SEALs series that hits several emotional high notes.

The Atmosphere & Characters

The setting of Bronze Bay feels grounded and atmospheric, providing the perfect backdrop for Leif’s transition from the battlefield to civilian life. Leif is exactly what you want in an alpha hero: protective, disciplined, and initially guarded. Watching his "rules" slowly crumble as he integrates into the community is one of the most satisfying parts of the narrative.

Malena is a standout heroine. Her dedication to her mother and her resilience in the face of a demanding life make her incredibly easy to root for. The chemistry between her and Leif is immediate and intense, building a "push and pull" dynamic that keeps the pages turning.

Why It’s a 4 Star Read

• Emotional Depth: The story handles sensitive topics with grace and realism. It adds a layer of maturity often missing from standard romance tropes.

• Character Growth: The arc for both leads feels earned. They don't just fall in love; they have to adapt their entire worldviews to make space for one another.

• Pacing: The story moves quickly without sacrificing the "slow burn" tension that makes the eventual payoff so rewarding.

Final Verdict
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

While the "secret" element of the plot can be a polarizing trope for some, Robinson executes it with enough sincerity to make it feel vital to the characters' growth rather than just a plot device. This is a must read for fans of protective heroes and stories about finding home in unexpected places.

He had rules. She had his heart.

4.25 ⭐️ | 2.5 🌶️

Rachel Robinson’s Tossing It, the second installment in the Bronze Bay SEAL series, completely won me over. I enjoyed the first book, but this one? Deeper, richer, more emotionally satisfying, and with a story arc that truly goes somewhere.

Leif is the kind of MMC romance readers know will be trouble in the best way: disciplined, guarded, emotionally locked down and hiding behind “rules” he swears will keep things simple. Malena is his perfect undoing: warm, capable, exhausted, loving and carrying far more responsibility than most people ever see. She works at the general store, plans events and is the sole caregiver to her mother who’s battling advanced dementia. Their meet-cute at a party is light, but what follows is anything but shallow.

What really stood out to me is how human this story feels. The romance is sexy and swoony, yes, but it’s also messy, tender, and shaped by real-life weight: trauma, obligation, fear of abandonment, and the cost of loving someone when your life is already stretched thin. Leif may tell himself he doesn’t do “complicated,” but watching him absolutely fold for Malena is deeply satisfying.

Both characters grow so much from the first chapter to the last. Their emotional journeys felt earned, not rushed, and by the end I realized I was smiling like an idiot: relieved, soft, and genuinely happy for them.

If you like small-town romance with damaged heroes, quiet strength heroines, emotional depth, and just enough suspense to keep things tense, Tossing It is absolutely worth your time.

Thank you to Hambright PR for the e-ARC, and huge congratulations to Rachel Robinson on the re-release and re-edit of this book, out today. This one’s a heart-tugger in the best way.

Small town romance?? Sign me up!

Leif is new to Bronze Bay. He has a very demanding job as a Navy SEAL. He is someone who needs “rules” and order in his life, no distractions, he has no time for meaningless hookups or relationships that will take time away from his job. Malena is a small town born and raised Bronze Bay girl. She’s had a lot to deal with since her father walked out on her and her mother. She is exhausted from working two jobs and supporting her mother. She is constantly exhausted and does not have time for a relationship.

Both Leif and Malena enter into a “relationship agreement” with one another but things take a turn once feelings start getting in the way.

I’m not sure if I’m the only one here but I felt no connection between Leif or Malena in the beginning. Their connection seemed insta-love to me even though before they met they were so guarded and they even made these “rules” so there wouldn’t be strings attached which none even followed. Like the rules were literally thrown out the window the following day.

I was starting to get confused when the secret baby trope and the “main problem” was going to come up as I got halfway towards the book and nothing was mentioned yet. It was just a lot of time of Leif and Malena being there for each other. I loved their honesty and their communication. It’s so sweet. Leif is such a green flag. I feel like reading about how Leif and Malena’s characters developed and grew together was my favorite part of the book. Their relationship was so beautifully written. But once we finally got to the secret baby trope and the “main problem” I was shocked! This was executed perfectly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tossing It
I went into Tossing It planning to read a few chapters… and ended up dedicating my entire Sunday to it. This was the definition of a binge-worthy, feel-good romance that completely pulled me in from start to finish.

Leif, our Navy SEAL MMC, is a true standout..steady, intentional, and emotionally present in a way that felt refreshing and genuine. He loves deeply, without hesitation or hidden motives, and yes… he absolutely falls first and falls hard. A modern-day McDreamy in every sense!!!!

Melena’s perspective was just as powerful. Her journey captured the vulnerability of wanting to be loved while fearing being seen as a charity case. She was bold, authentic, and brave enough to put herself out there for a love she didn’t believe she deserved. The push and pull between protecting your heart by labeling something “just a fling” versus acknowledging real feelings felt incredibly real and relatable.

This story beautifully explored family dynamics, trust, and the challenge of balancing love with real-life responsibilities. The banter made me laugh, the emotional moments hit hard, and the obstacles the characters faced made their connection feel earned.

Tossing It is a heartfelt, uplifting romance and the perfect binge read. A story about choosing love, even when it’s complicated and trusting that true love really can conquer all.

Congratulations Rachel!!!

•Leif & Malena
Bronze Bay book 2

*I was provided an ARC of this book by the the author and their promotion team

@rachelrobinsonauthor surely put us on a roller coaster ride of emotion with this story, and I never wanted to get off!!

Leif Anderssen is the no-nonsense leader of Bronze Bay’s SEAL team. He’s dedicated his entire adult life to his country and his team leaving no room for love or relationships—much to his family’s dismay. Until he meets Malena Winterset. “Lust at first sight” quickly turns into an undeniable pull to always be near each other. Malena gave up on finding love after her divorce and Lief never took the time to find it. Somehow, they found it in each other, but the state of the world had other plans. Two pink lines and an unexpected deployment change everything. Now, the man who never wanted a family, and the woman who never thought she could have one must decide if they have a future worth fighting for…

Leif and Malena were both characters with sooo much depth who drew me in from the first pages on the book! Both were impossible not to love which only made me root for them as a couple even harder!! Rachel included a “high stakes” component in this story that kept me on the edge on my seat until the very end! (Again, a legit rollercoaster of emotions) Overall, I enjoyed going back to the small town of Bronze Bay so much and can’t wait to go back for the next adventure!

Who needs rules when the heart has a mind of its own? Leif Andersson lives by a strict set of guidelines—especially when it comes to dating—until Malena Winterset walks into his life and turns everything upside down.
Malena is stretched thin, caring for her mother who’s battling dementia while struggling to make ends meet. Romance is the last thing on her mind, but Leif’s steady presence and quiet persistence slowly chip away at the walls she’s built. What unfolds between them is intense and undeniable—chemistry that’s jam-packed with heat, tenderness, and emotional depth.
Just as things fall into place, Leif heads out on deployment, and tragedy strikes both of them in very different ways. Miscommunication and distance create a painful divide, leaving both characters reeling. Nine months later, Malena discovers something about Leif that gives her hope for a future she didn’t think was possible—only to be confronted with a devastating truth.
While the reunion timeline feels a bit rushed, Rachel Robinson delivers the closure Leif and Malena deserve without unnecessarily dragging out their happily ever after. The emotional payoff is heartfelt and satisfying, and the journey there is raw and moving.
Tossing It is a beautifully emotional love story about timing, loss, and second chances. Be prepared to cry—this one hits straight in the feels.

Tossing It hooked me almost instantly. I have a soft spot for small-town stories, and Bronze Bay, Florida, felt so real I could almost hear the gossip through the pages. The mix of close-knit drama with Navy SEAL intensity made for such a fun ride. Leif and Malena’s relationship is messy in the best way—there’s a moment early on where Leif just lays his feelings bare, and I remember thinking, “Okay, I need to see where this goes.” He’s the kind of guy who loves openly and fiercely, and that really made me root for him.
I didn’t expect to get so wrapped up in the miscommunication and secret baby plot, but it completely got me. There’s a scene where Malena is struggling with her choices, and it hit surprisingly hard—I actually went back and reread it. The angst is definitely there, but what I liked is that it never tips into melodrama. There are just enough light moments and banter to keep things from feeling too heavy.
I won’t pretend I wasn’t frustrated with a few of their decisions (in the best way—shoutout to emotional romance for making me want to yell at fictional people). But by the end, I really cared about these characters and what they’d been through. This story isn’t perfect, but it’s heartfelt, sometimes messy, and ultimately left me thinking about Leif and Malena long after I finished.

Emotion Healing!

I just finished reading Tossing It, the second book in the Bronze Bay SEALs series, and wow, what a delightful experience! This is my first time reading this author, but it definitely won’t be my last. Leif and Malena’s love story is such an emotional rollercoaster as they navigate their journey toward a HEA.

Malena has faced more than her fair share of ups and downs, yet she keeps rolling with the punches and handling whatever life throws her way. Leif, on the other hand, is a bit more guarded. He has built up walls around himself and follows strict rules to avoid getting too close to anyone. At this point in their lives, neither of them is looking for anything more than a no-strings-attached arrangement.

But as the story unfolds, you see how beautifully Leif and Malena are written. They start to open up, confront their pasts, and embrace the idea of a future together as a family. It’s such a heartfelt journey toward their HEA! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Small town, military romance featuring a Bronze Bay Navy Seal. The story takes place in Bronze Bay, Florida. A small town, not unlike others, where everyone knows everything. The gossip mill is fierce. Throw in muscular military personal from across the country and let the fun begin.

Overall, the story is well written and easy to follow. It definitely checked all the box marks for a small town and military romance. I love that Lefi, the MMC, fell first. It surprised me just as much it did Malena, the FMC. They other characters fit well into the story. Especially Leif's too involved sisters, Eva and Celia. Eva was my favorite character. She made me laugh with her unfiltered adoring love for her brother and the insatiable need to instill herself in his love life.

It is a shorter and part of a series, The Bronze Bay Seals. If you're into small-town, military romances you should give this book a shot.

Malena and Leif

What a journey this book is. In this world, there is an active war going on in the US, so there are teams of SEALs scattered around in small towns. Malena, one of its inhabitants, had a marriage that didn’t work out and is now dealing with an ill parent. Enter Leif. He feels an instant connection and goes straight into alpha-protector mode. Their chemistry is undeniable and the relationship progression made a lot sense in the midst of this storyline. This is one that I thought about for some time after finishing. **A lot of people steer clear of the accidental pregnancy trope but this one is so well done you should definitely give it a chance.

I was HOOKED from page one 📚! This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster 🎠 that had my heart in my throat the entire time 😲.

What really surprised me was how invested I became in the miscommunication and secret baby plot - it was utterly engrossing. A pivotal moment that stood out was when Malena struggled with the consequences of her choices, and it hit me harder than expected. The emotional impact of those subtle scenes stayed with me.

This book had me feeling all the feels! The romance was so well-written that I found myself emotionally invested and yelling at the characters' decisions. It's a true testament to the author's skill that I was so fully engaged.

I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster that is Leif and Malena's story 🌈❤️. It's not a perfect tale, but its raw emotion and sincerity make it incredibly compelling. These characters have left an indelible mark on my heart 🤗.

Rachel Robinson is a new-to-me author, and after reading Tossing It, she is most definitely one I’ll be keeping my eye on. This story was an emotional roller-coaster—I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Every emotion came to life throughout Leif and Malena’s journey.
Their love story unfolded so beautifully that you couldn’t help but root for them from the moment they met. What stood out to me the most, though, was Malena’s personal struggle. It hit incredibly close to home, as I’ve watched my partner navigate a very similar situation. Rachel Robinson handled this topic with such care and respect, truly capturing the emotional weight and challenges that come with it.
I know this all sounds a bit vague, but I like to keep my reviews as spoiler-free as possible. Overall, I absolutely loved Tossing It and am very much looking forward to the next book. This is definitely one to add to your TBR.

When Malena and Leif meet and have an undeniable attraction, he’s got a list of rules for her - two forms of birth control, no stuff at his place, no meeting his family, and no falling in love. She’s agreeable because she doesn’t want a real relationship, but what happens when they start breaking the rules?

This is such a good story. Malena and Leif make a great couple. There’s heartache and pain involved when the two break all the rules they set forth at the beginning of their relationship. Leif’s sisters get involved, and trouble brews. After Leif, a Navy SEAL, deploys for a year, Malena gets news that changes everything. I love that Leif is the one who breaks his own rules. He is such a loving and generous man who is almost immediately willing to help Malena with her mother who is suffering from dementia. Malena is willing to love Leif despite his rules.

Tossing It was raw, emotional, romantic, and so much deeper than I ever expected! What starts as a simple, no strings attached arrangement quickly turns into a beautifully written second chance love story that had me thinking about Lief and Malena long after I closed the book!

Malena is exhausted from carrying the weight of caregiving, responsibility, and life. Keeping things simple feels like the only thing she can control. Enter Lief. Who is relentless, guarded, and pretending he’s emotionally unavailable. Rules are set. Lines are drawn.

The way their relationship develops feels real and intentional. The chemistry is instant, the banter is effortless, and the emotional depth sneaks up on you when you least expect it.

No strings attached

Huge thanks to Rachel and Hambright PR for the ARC, all opinions are my own!

I don’t usually go for the secret baby trope, but since I’ve really been enjoying Rachel’s books, I decided to give it a chance, and I’m so glad I did because this story was about so much more.

We have Leif, an alpha male Navy SEAL who believes he doesn’t need love, and Malena, who’s had a hard life, is fiercely independent, and is perfectly fine on her own with no time for love. Both of them live by their own rules, neither is looking for anything more, but those rules don’t stand a chance once their instant connection, flirting, and undeniable chemistry kick in.

This book had moments of heartbreak, tears, laughter, and of course unexpected love. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It did feel a little slow at times, but since the book is on the shorter side, it wasn’t a big deal for me.

A handsome SEAL and the secret baby trope? Ya, I read this one quickly and loved every moment
Leif and Malena were so easy to love. Leif won my heart early on. I'm pretty sure I had heart eyes during my read through. How swoony can one man be?

Leif does have specific rules..and you know what I think? Rules are made to be broken. 😉

For those who have experienced loved ones with dementia, this book definitely has relatable moments. I appreciate how Malena cared for her mother, even when times seem frustrating.

This is the first book I have read by @rachelrobinsonauthor, and I look forward to reading the rest of her backlist.

Tossing It by Rachel Robinson completely hooked me, but what really made it a five-star read was the connection between Malena and Leif. Their relationship felt so genuine and earned—full of tension, vulnerability, and quiet moments that said more than grand gestures ever could. I loved how their bond developed naturally, built on trust and understanding rather than convenience.

What stood out most was how both of them were willing to sacrifice things they deeply wanted for each other. It wasn’t dramatic in an over-the-top way; it felt real and emotional, the kind of love where choosing the other person actually costs something. That depth made their story hit harder and linger long after I finished the book. Emotional, heartfelt, and incredibly satisfying—this one is absolutely worth the read. 💛📚.

Welcome back to Bronze Bay, Florida!

Malena Winterset had so much on her plate and when Leif Andersson walked in, it was a chance to do something for herself for a change. They agreed to a no strings attached arrangement (and he had some very specific rules!) They had this great chemistry and connection and we see their dedication to the rules start to slip…and maybe he falls first 👀

My heart broke for Malena as she was doing the best she could to care for her mother with dementia. Her experience felt very real. Leif and his sister really step up to help out. Leif’s family is a little complicated, and his sisters are intense but they all clearly love each other so much.

There are a couple of curve balls, including a deployment and surprise pregnancy and what I would call adjacent miss communication…things definitely get tense!

✨What To Expect:
🏡 Small Town Romance
🎖️ Military Romance / Navy SEAL
🥀Romantic Suspense
✌️Second Chance
🍼Secret / Surprise Baby
❤️‍🔥No Strings Attached
❤️‍🩹Damaged Hero

Thank you so much to Hambright_pr for the ARC

4.5 ⭐️

This book really said “no feelings, no attachments” and then immediately lit that rulebook on fire.
Alpha Navy SEAL? ✔️
Small-town tension? ✔️

The chemistry is unreasonably good. Like eye contact should be illegal good. One minute it’s hot and flirty, the next I’m clutching my chest like why am I crying right now???

Rachel Robinson excels at that sneaky emotional damage soft moments that hit harder than the spice. Protective, gruff, secretly-gone hero energy was SERVED. The FMC? Strong, grounded, and not here for your nonsense (even if she lowkey wants it).

Is it messy? Yes in the best way possible
Is it swoony? Extremely.
Did I whisper “oh no” multiple times while reading? Absolutely.

3.5 Stars. I enjoyed this book and thought it was well written. However, I had a hard time feeling the chemistry of the two MCs. Part of that might have been the Prologue which was actually a future scene in the book where we find out the FMC, Malena is pregnant after knowing that Leif, the MMC, doesn't want kids. We then go back to when they first met. I will say I loved all the Leif's POV chapters. You saw how quickly he fell for Malena. As a Navy Seal that's the only life he knows or wants and seeing him fall so fast was a lot of fun to read. I will say some of the banter between the MCs and even between Leif and his sisters just felt weird and I had a hard time getting into it. But I did enjoy the book and loved the resolution that got our characters to their HEA.

Thank you Rachel Robinson and Hambright PR for my copy of Tossing It. 🤍 I received this book for review, all opinions are my own and given freely.

I was fortunate enough to receive Tossing It right after reading Keeping It! As I mentioned in my review for Keeping It, I’m obsessed with these beautiful book covers. 😍

Tossing It had me feeling allllll the feels. It is packed with tropes including secret baby, second chance, small town and another military romance with a delicious slow burn. These Bronze Bay Seal novels are soo enjoyable! I really need trophy copies for my shelf immediately! Tossing It did feel like a roller coaster for my emotions and had me on the edge of my seat biting my nails but so, so worth it.

Tossing It is available now!

My reactions: 💔🔥🍼❤️‍🩹✉️‼️⏲️❤️‍🔥

✨I loved them and survived the third act breakup 👏🏼 ✨

Malena and Leif agreed to rules. They went from casual to oh no running away from love. The third act break up does not drag on. Thank you! We get a flash forward scene and a heartfelt apology of the wrongs made without the others knowledge. I can’t give it away the details you get to find out on your own. Just know that SEALs are trained to sacrifice for their brothers in arms. Make no acceptions for Leif to be a hero of your heart. 🫠

This book was a great read! I loved the emotion behind it. Both characters were weary but I loved how they finally gave in! Spice was just enough and has enough build up!

I feel both characters were a perfect match but wanted more of them!

The story is based a small town! Lied is a navy seal and hot and delicious! He wanted a simple life! No drama no strings. Malena is an event coordinator and doesn’t belief she deserves love! Lied falls first and they fight to not let the strings attached! This book was a roller coaster and I ate it up!

📚ARC Review 📚

📖Tossing It- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Y’all this was an emotion packed read! There was so much going on for Malena with being the caretaker for her mom, the whirlwind romance with Leif, and everything that comes after.

The chemistry between these two was off the charts, which is why I didn’t even care about how fast they both fell (I’m usually not an insta-love girl).

This was my first read by Rachel and I really enjoyed it; I’ll definitely be back for Aiden’s story!

🗓️Tossing it is out now and can be read on Kindle Unlimited. Thank you so much to Rachel Robinson and Hambright PR for the ARC opportunity ❤️
