In the Book Zom-B, there was a main character who went by the name of "B." B had a horribly mean father name Dave. His abusive father was against all blacks and Indians. B went on a school field trip, to the holocaust museum and a baby Indian was taken right out of the hand of the mother by some crazy mutant creatures. These mutant creatures were known for various crimes such as kid napping, murder, and robbery. B ran through the hall kneed one of the two mutants right in the frontal area, as he fell down B tackled the other one took the baby and brought it to the mother. After the field trip the mother contacted B's mother, and said how thankful she was that B rescued her baby. When B got home B's dad found out about the rescue. Dave, B's dad was against all colors except for whites. He said " You should've let the baby die..." B didn't want to be beaten by his father, so he agreed to what his father said. Days after that he bullied a weak, but really tall black girl. She slapped him and cut him with her finger nails and he turned around and back-handed her. She fell straight down to the ground. The P.E. teacher saw everything hung that happened and told the principle, Mrs.Reed and he didn't get in trouble, he just had to apologize!

The themes and main ideas of the book were " How the zom-b's took over," and "How the character reacted to the Zombies". The Zombies took over by some Irish scientists who experimented on some german Shepard's and the had an awkward reaction to the medicine and bit the scientist and the scientist turned into mutant zombie creatures. The disease spread so quickly. It went from Ireland to London in two weeks. After the attack, crap went down tons of people were attacking each other, Blood everywhere. The characters reacted to the attacks, Surprised, but afraid of what ly ahead. B was so scared he helped the black boy and girl escape. He didn't make it home in time. His parents had turned into some mutant creature. He stood silently, scared, and afraid.

So this collection is the second set of 3 books in this much larger collection. The rest look to all be singles and I will be seeking them all out. The storyline just keeps improving as the reading goes on. We get to follow B on more adventures around London with a bigger group and some people from before. Each book is a stand alone but they make a much better series together. If you are a zombie fan or a Darren Shan fan you will enjoy these books. I have read a lot of his other works and have never been disappointed. B is a very complex character who needs to be with others but wouldn't admit it to herself. Many of the other zombies come and go but now they have a nice tight knit group of them with very complex personalities. Give these a try and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

A great follow up from the last 1-3 chronicle that includes Zom-B City and Zom-B Angels. It overlaps from our last session, and follows up with B finding herself in a revitaliseds zombie training facility that includes reviveds--(zombies who have lost control of most consciousness and are left with set backs including delusion and extreme sharpness of hearing-- painfully sharper than revitaliseds) counter activity; who have appeared throughout the series, as well as a doctor named Dr. Oystein, who helps revitaliseds with staying alive and training for 'anything'. As the story continues we learn that Dr. Oystein has a bit of a dark past and sets out to right his wrongs with his undead experiments and houses a number of tubes filled with a jelly substance that can be used to further the life expectancy of his students. A great addition to the Zom-B series thus far.

3 more great books. What did Barnes mean when he said that he was talking about B when he said “it was hard having to sacrifice someone you care about”?????
