Not only has Tanner taken an adoptive daughter, but Amara is pregnant as well. The evil dungeon has been defeated, and his ability to enchant has reached a whole new level. But so much more is in store for the Master of Crafts.
The wilds are changing and events are happening all throughout the biomes. Races are displaced and Tanner must turn his homestead into a budding village. That's just the beginning, as his production must ramp up to meet the demands of trade. Will he go with the standard apprentices, that will hopefully be able to learn his unique crafting styles? Or will he find another way?
New professions are introduced, and experiments had. But with each trade comes new fame. Tanner will have to determine the best way to protect his peace and the safety of his friends and family. Because not all countries are going to sit idly by while a crafter that can make set items and barriers roams the world.
I like to keep my bio simple. A few updates and a small mention that all of my books have a tinge of romance involved.
Ashen Realm: Book two will be coming out at the beginning of February. The third book is nearly ready as well. I'm hoping to have it published in April.
Fenrir's series; I will be releasing the fourth book at the beginning of the year around March.
Dimension Dungeon 3 is in the works still. I'm not sure when I'll get it out, but know that I am working on it.
World Champion has been launched, and the second book will be out near the beginning of the year. There will not be a preorder for it, so keep an eye out.
Clean and wholesome, interesting character development.
I really, really, really hate Mr. McKittrick! I loved this book so much that I read it in 2 days and now I'll have to wait for I don't know how long until the next book in the series. 😪 The MC, Tanner, is way OP. But in a crafting way, not a fighting way, which is a nice change of pace from most OP characters. I guess that I'll be doing 2 things. 1st, I'll try one of his other series (I know that he has at least one other) and 2nd, I'll probably reread the 2 books in this series. Seriously, if you like well written characters, an interesting plot and different races learning to get along and working together, you'll love this series. As long as you don't need lots of fighting! Enjoy!
This second book has all the issues of the first and needs even more editing. It's like they stopped editing half way through. The premise and world have gotten even less sensical and somehow more sloppy. Calling the characters 2 dimensional would be giving this undeserved praise. They are worse than flat and all the interactions and relationships are disjointed garbage that really doesn't make sense.
Just like book 1, this one is just as chill. There isn't a lot of action which has been a nice change of pace from the last couple books I've read. I really love Tanner and how nonchalant he is about his skills and gifts. This guy really has no idea what he is and how amazing he truly is. The women have to be overprotective of him because he would allow himself to be taken advantage of. One of my favorite things about this book has been the adding of other races. Gloria, Mary, and the dragons. I love how open Tanner and his family is. They truly love to help others and watching them work together has been a treat. Im still not a fan of Amara. I really hate how pushy and honestly childish she is compared to the other characters. Like I get Tanner being in love with her but I hate her. I just roll my eyes when she comes on the page. I definitely hope some more action stuff will go down in book 3 but I'm genuinely enjoying the easy going flow of this series.
A nice but sedate book in the series. It’s definitely worth picking up and continuing with book 2. I don’t want to give anything away except to say the author continues from where he left off in book one. And you get many more characters added to the list. It’s really fantastic world building. However, I removed one star for the poor ending with the MC’s bad negotiating skills. Actually he’s proven to have bad skills in that area the whole story but the ending was the worst example. What he should have done was counter offered with twice that amount and a property tax. After all, they’re taxing him for his stuff. Don’t worry, you will understand after you read the book. LOL
This book concentrates on the development of the homestead/village. Not much action. This book absolutely represents "A slice of life" style that has enjoyable characters and a "long game" plot.
That being said, grammar problems still abound with added or missed words in sentences. Almost felt like the author was trying to write the same sentence two ways and missed both.
The author it feels was confused on his own timeline. Anytime the pregnancy is mentioned, it is extremely unclear just how far along the pregnancy is compared to the story.
The book is solidly written and offers an engaging premise, but the portrayal of the main character ultimately held it back for me. The protagonist is clearly overpowered (OP) from the start, with abilities that feel granted rather than earned. Because the story devotes little attention to training, struggle, or meaningful limitations, most conflicts are resolved too easily, which reduces narrative tension.
I can see the appeal for readers who enjoy power fantasy, but I personally prefer character arcs built on growth, effort, and consequence. An enjoyable read in parts, just not fully aligned with my tastes.
A very relaxed follow up to book 1, if you haven't read it yet, please do. Tanner is still the main focus, but, he wasn't the only focus in the story. Family life is growing, and so is he. But, the village/town is also growing and expanding, the Azure Rose is letting herself be more visible, and of course, as gods are want to do, they are starting to let themselves take a course in events.
Thanks to the author, as this is really becoming a very engaging series, and I will hate to come to the end of book 3! I mean, I know all good things must come to an end, just sometimes it will be melancholy. Again, thank you!
Homestead Crafter, book two of the LitRPG Crafting Slice of Life series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Expansion is tough, but Tanner is up for the challenge. As people begin to seek safety, as well as wanting to be a part of something inclusive, the homestead grows, not just out, but down. Great sense of community and lots of unusual relationships between the varied groups.
I have really enjoyed this series, but there are some grammar issues, flayed instead of fileted my instead of by and others. Not enough to keep me from reading but enough that sometimes I have to reread the sentences to fix what was wrongly worded.
Way less action, far less growth, much more focus on the ensemble cast to the detriment of the story. Hope the next book kicks it back up. What's the point in the MC being super strong if he never does anything with it.
This is definitely one of the best books I’ve read in awhile. The slice of life storyline with politics, town building, and meshing all the races together is all so well done! I adore the characters and can’t wait to see where the story goes from here!
This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. The flow of the book the characters the development. I hope book 3 is 800 pages longer and I hope you keep the series going for a long time.
Loving this series. I enjoy the crafting as well as the world dynamics. Seemed to be less crafting detail and more management for the MC. The main outstanding question is why? Why does Tanner have his abilities.. guess ill have to read more to find out. Cool
The mix between litrpg elements, story development, and aspects of romance is well balanced as are the characters’ development. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far.
The kingdoms are taking notice of the impossibly powerful crafter. While Tanner is working to make a better world, others are scheming to take what isn’t theirs
