I DNF this book at page 78, as it got farcical real quick all of a sudden.
The MC wakes up in a post apocalyptic world from cryo sleep, apparently part of some special project to create super soldiers to help after whatever disaster happens. They've apparently given him some serum that will boost his physical abilities when they put him on ice, and the longer he's on ice, the more it will boost them. He finally breaks free from his cryo chamber and grabs a makeshift axe, then upon leaving hears a woman cry out. He runs to what it is, and sees a catgirl being harassed by 3 mutant guys. They kill them together, and then go to her cave to spend the night.
The next day, they go to a supply depot to find some stuff, and hit the motherlode of all cheat codes when it comes to haremlit. The supply depot has everything, from a working vehicle, to a weapons cache that has everything up to an including a minigun. Plus body armor, MREs, and anything else a person just waking up to an apocalyptic wasteland needs to queue up "god mode" levels of easy.
It was right after he discovers the full bounty of this supply depot that I quit reading. I'm so sick of the MC having it so easy to start. It's like playing any of the Fallout games, enabling the console, and then giving yourself every available weapon, armor, and anything else to make the game zero effort to start. Why authors think that makes for a compelling read is beyond me.

A delightful debut
Disclaimer: I was a beta reader for this book.
A fun post apocalyptic story set many years after the bombs were dropped, this first entry is a light hearted journey despite the setting with strong characters who are more than just survivors, they are wasteland rebels against the factions that would seek to control people and their way of life. With capable companions and not damsels in distress, Kayden's introduction and equipment are a strong force for good in a world that has had to struggle for survival in one way or another. I am hopeful that this will be successful enough to help get a sequel written quickly and can't wait to see the story continue.

Good fun
Basic rump but a lot of fun. The MC became part of a secret project Got put in cryosleep. Wake up after the apocalypse and viola. Here we are. Ooh. And many people especially men are deformed or sterile soooo harem is a thing. So the order of the day is go on a rampage to Destroy bad guys blow up gangs and bring order to lawless lands. Cool.

Real good beginning!!
Some excellent world building, interesting and entertaining characters and an apocalypse to round it all out!! I for one can't wait to see where the authors take this new fantasy adventure!!!

might be a wasteland but at least it has a cat Girls with a fetish for blowing things up
