Overall, it was a decent book. I am going to give the author another try, and I'm sure as she writes, her talent will grow.
The good:
-I liked the storyline and idea.
-Zara and Torek have a history of some sort of relationship trauma they have to overcome, which they are able to overcome together. That made their relationship more real to me.
The bad:
-It felt rushed.
-It almost seemed like the author forgot which POV and personality belonged to the character by midway.
-I also struggled with how fast the "connection" was. Zara is very analytical, so it was difficult to believe she fell in love so fast, and first. That being said, Torek is very emotional, so I was able to see his POV and believe his feelings. The downside is, I felt like the author wanted him to be analytical as well, but his character went in the opposite direction.
-They didn't really have chemistry. I think because the story was so rushed, the opportunity to add that depth was lost. I see the potential there and that if the author had just added a little more details or back story, it would be more obvious.
