Darkest Storm is the perfect sequel to Silver Storm, and honestly, Michelle Madow just keeps raising the bar. If I thought the first book was gripping, this one took it to a whole new level.

What I loved most about this installment was the shift in perspective. Getting multiple POVs added so much depth to the story ... it made the world feel bigger and the stakes even higher.

And can we talk about Logan? Watching his transformation from "morally gray" to "morally black" was chef’s kiss. It’s rare to see a character lean so far into their dark side, and it made his arc absolutely fascinating to follow.

On the flip side, the slow burn between Evie and Kieran... the tension is REAL. Michelle knows exactly how to make us wait for it in the best way possible.

The story picks up right where it left off and doesn't let go. It’s dark, atmospheric, and just as addictive as the first one. If you loved the gothic vibes of Blaze Academy in book one, you’re going to be obsessed with how the plot thickens here.

I’m officially hooked on this darker side of Michelle Madow’s writing. I need the next book immediately!

Jade knew that Logan would do anything to save her but she had to find out how many times he’d actually already went back as each attempt seem to drain him and after watching Oliver get killed she had to know not only what they were up against which to be truthfully honest she hadn’t a clue at this present moment and just what exactly the man she was falling for was risking each time he jumped back in time to save her yes until recently she was clueless to this life it’s like being thrown into the deep end to be taught to swim except this was magic not water and a lot more lethal. The guilt she carries for Oliver can be overwhelming then there’s Evie her roommate and Oliver’s sister how can she explain that although she was not responsible for Oliver being killed she felt the guilt of not being able to save him. Welcome to year one let’s hope Jade makes it through to year two because life at a magic school while hiding her light from everyone yea what could possibly go wrong guess we gotta wait and see.

Excellent follow up to Silver Storm. Ms. Madow has become my favorite indie author. She does an exceptional job of relating to the thought processes of young adults (makes me want to be young again!) & fleshing out characters into what feels like real people.

She continues the excellent plot of Secret Storm. Jade, who previously had less magic than any other Witch she knew, had been gifted with the power of Electricity by a Goddess. Jade & her significant other admit they are totally in love. And many "enemies" are afraid of her power, which adds a lot of action to this book.

Totally enjoyable & a page burner, I can't wait for book 3!

OH MY GOD!!! This one was so good. I was OBSESSED with how the story progressed. The twists and turns. The buildup. The Hellhound loop. Everything was insane. I did wish Jade would just fess up and tell Evie the truth about her brother but I loved, loved, loved watching Evie get close to Kieran. Dare I say I enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship more so than Jade and Logan's? And, oh god, it was an AGONIZINGLY slow burn. I was all but yelling at them to just FREAKING KISS ALREADY. Can't wait for the next book. I am on tenterhooks.

Well, this book in what I think could be the best series yet, is going from strength to strength. I loved it. The gang certainly go through the wringer in this story for sure. It again was a slow burner, starts off letting you find your way in and the before you know it you’re engrossed and full committed to it. What on earth is going to happen in the next one. I can’t even begin to imagine. Highly recommended.

waiting for the HEA…

Book two of the Witch Blade series in the Star Touched universe had a big reveal and strong tension between Jade and Logan that kept me hooked. Their connection really came through and I’m still hoping for them to get their HEA, even though this book doesn’t get them there yet. I read this in just two sittings, and that ending definitely left things open. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Awesome second in series centered around Jade who is gifted the power of electricity from storm goddess Tempest. She wakes up on an island after a plane crash and finds herself in an academy for witches. She makes friends and several things happen that cause her to flee the island with some others from the island. She goes to another island to find she is one of the star touched that most defeat the Revenants.

Investigators & lightning-induced destruction & deadly hellhounds, oh my!

Jade and Logan's tumultuous story continues at Blaze Academy as so many secrets and lies are threatening to be revealed, while Evie and Kieran begin to explore their own personal relationship. Just like in the rest of the Star Touched series, there's suspense, adventures, violence, passion, lots of magic, many monsters and intense character interactions. This book ends abruptly.

I loved it! Logan has so many secrets to keep that he's become a professional liar and spinner of the truth. Meanwhile the guilt is eating at Jade.

Things are getting juicy with Evie and Kieran. There's a special bonus scene on the author's site! Don't want to miss it.

I highly recommend reading the series! I'm loving every minute!

I am so enjoying this series. Whilst attending school party, Jade and most of the other students were attacked. Unfortunately secrets are revealed and a small group make a momentous decision, that will affect the future. However, thee wasn't much choice.

This picks up where the last one left off and it's so good. There's even more happening with more revelations. I really liked the dynamics, suspense, action, twists and turns. This is a well developed story with depth and incredible world building. And a must read. I cannot wait for the next book.
