The Hostage: Held By Something Unseen
What would your life look like if, one day, you discovered you were being held hostage without even knowing it? How would that change your day, in fact, every minute of that day, realizing your life would never be the same?
Si woke to that dreadful alarm clock tone, just like every other day. He settled into his normal routine, as distracted as ever, trying to focus on his career path amidst his life’s ups and downs, beatings, and bruises.
But then the mysterious deal maker showed up; one who apparently held the keys to his release. Yet is it ever as simple as accepting a deal? If Si accepts this deal, there will surely be consequences for his actions, despite the mystery man’s promise that he will get away scot-free. Unless, of course, he is lying…
Is this man Wormwood, all grown up, assigned to his new patient? Or does he wield a far greater power than an old, seasoned general from an unseen realm?
Only The Hostage knows the way he can be freed from this torment. It is his choice to be free, or to remain captive.

Interesting Allegory
If you don't know it's an allegory the story starts off a bit confusing, but the questions draw you in. I appreciate the author's comments at the end that give clear interpretation to some of the elements that could be seen as ambiguous without guidance. Interesting and quick read that gets you thinking!
