I’m the industry’s best-kept secret—the clinical Beta who fixes the messes of the powerful from the shadows. My logic is my armor, and my spreadsheets are my shield. But one hot mic and a ten-second viral clip later, my anonymity is dead.
The fixer just became the target.
Now, I’m being hunted by the very machine I helped build. To survive, I have to disappear into a high-security safehouse with three elite men who treat my safety like a holy Mateo, the muscle who grounds my panic; Stephen, the lawyer who worships my mind; and Juno, the strategist who weaponizes my scandal.
I don’t know how to be "cargo." I’ve spent my life being useful to stay alive, and surrender feels a lot like losing. But as the pack forces me to trade my work for their touch, the fine print of my life starts to blur. They don’t want my labor. They want me.
The world is trying to erase me, but the pack is busy claiming me. And the most dangerous contract I’ve ever signed is the one that makes me theirs.
Submit to the care. Survive the fallout. Rewrite the rules.

This book was different than previous books in this series. This one centers around a female beta who manages omega performers. I liked that this book wasn't centered around an omega and their heat. The twist at the end was nice and I hope to see more of these characters in future books .
Each book in this series is better than the last even though each time i cant see how teh author can top the last one!
Heat Protocol one of those reads that just pulls you straight into the chaos and doesn’t let go. It’s fast-paced, intense, and packed with that addictive mix of disaster, emotion, and romance with forced proximity with a desperate Beta and a a pack who will do anything for her.
The story follows Rowen, and amazingly smart behind-the-scenes fixer who dedicates her working life protecting Omega's from Obsessive and overbaring Alpha's until her life completely unravels after a viral moment puts a target on her back, forcing her into hiding with a powerful group determined to protect her . That setup alone makes it feel high-stakes from the start, and it only ramps up from there. I was totally invested in the outcome!
What really stands out is the dynamic between the Rowen and the guys as distrusst graduall turns towards trust —There’s a nice balance between protective energy and emotional connection, which keeps things interesting instead of just predictable. This is an omegaverse with a difference!
It’s definitely got those classic omegaverse vibes—found family, forced proximity, and intense bonds—but it's based around our amazing Beta- tehre is alot of character growth and vulnerability along with a few unexpected plot twists.
Another great story in this Omegaverse series. In this one we get Rowans' story, she is the Beta who helped protect Omegas by writing contracts to ensure their autonomy was respected and not taken advantage of. The problem with that is someone looses out, and the person loosing out, in this case, is a mega rich promotor who will destroy Rowan's life to ensure he can take back control. Enter Mateo, Juno and Stephen, the 3 of them help and protect Rowan, and I loved the different ways they had of doing that, and calming her mind and body. Loved the surprise twist and the ending was so perfect for them.
I liked Rowan’s story. She a beta is a tough cookie until a hot mic caught her on air and things went downhill. Everyone out to get her and she books it and eventually finds herself being employed by a company. Little did she know that she would fall for these men and discover their secret. The steamy scenes almost sounded clinical but I still liked reading it. The ending was nice and how all secrets came out In the open. This series is pretty neat .
After waiting so long to finally uncover Rowan’s story, I was completely hooked from page one! If you’ve followed the Omega Stream series, you know Rowan a Beta manager who fights tirelessly for the rights of artists, whether Omega or Alpha. But when she finally makes the wrong Alpha mad… well, trouble is about to get very interesting.
Enter Stephen, Mateo, and Juno three Alphas, each carrying secrets, each bringing something unique to Rowan’s world:
Mateo her gravity, the one who anchors her.
Stephen her logic, the one who challenges her mind.
Juno her empathy, the one who sees her heart.
And for Juno, it’s just as intense: Stephen, the alpha strategist; Mateo, the protector; and Rowan, the Beta who loves him deeply. Juno, an Omega passing as Alpha, finds in Rowan a partner who shares his vision: dismantle the corrupt status quo in the industry and create a new world where both Alphas and Omegas have rights.
💥 The chemistry? Absolutely off the charts. Every interaction, every plan, every heart to heart between these four had me completely invested. The way their minds worked together to achieve their goals it’s brilliant and addictive.
This book is more than a romance; it’s strategy, passion, and revolution wrapped into one thrilling read. For fans of the Omega Stream series or anyone who loves high stakes romance with unstoppable characters Heat Protocol is a must-read.
📌 Voluntary review. No compensation just one obsessed reader who unexpectedly couldn’t put this down!
When I started to read this story, I thought oh another reverse harm story. Then I started looking and seeing more than just a love story, Rowan, a beta who is a wiz at doing spreadsheets and drafting contracts, as she managed setting programs and making sure liability waivers etc. are signed all the annoying steps that most people would hate, she is amazing at. Until the night she had said something to Julian Vance, Head of Artist Relations for studio financing the shows. Only it was caught on live TV and the Vance was going to use his influence to take her down. Enter Juno, Mateo, and Stephen, they extracted her and brought her to a safe place and the four of them begin an operation on how to take down the important people who like to control peoples lives and how they use labels against them to justify their actions. The organization who holds the power over the people they are trying to control, don’t have the money or resources to fight back. You really need to read this book how four people using their strengths and the negative labels to bring down corrupt organization as they leave to value themselves and the “pack” they have become. The entanglement of paper work and false narratives this writer has ingeniously written in this story in many ways reflect many things in real life.
Helen Scott and Zoey Shelby have written an omegaverse legal thriller, and I'm not mad about it. This book had a greater threat of violence than the previous ones. Rowan is a beta manager and has spent her entire career fighting for her clients. Ro is highly intelligent, stubborn, logical, and incredibly sassy. The quote "She was running on fumes and spite" pretty much describes her for most of the book. I liked her. Like the previous books, the romance is secondary to the plot, and what a good plot! After a confrontation with an alpha, Ro gets burned and decides the whole system has to go. She gets help from a strategist, a lawyer, and a security consultant.
Rowan and the guys go against the entire industry, led by Julian Vance, the alpha who has burned her as a particular target. It was like a giant game of chess. One side makes a move, and the opposition makes a responding one, and all of it is held in the court of public opinion. Between spies, safe houses, mobs, interviews, receipts made public, and information going viral, it was pretty entertaining. The twist was good. The authors dropped a few easter eggs before the big reveal, so it wasn't a surprise, but the impact was good. Heat Protocol was quite a surprise. Good if you're looking for a unique omegaverse.
Okay, whatever you think you know about omegaverse, this is going to change it! Not gonna lie, I started reading for the spice - doesn't everyone - but what I love, and what this book delivers in spades, is the politics and machinations in the background, how people perceive the abilities of different designations, and what they should be allowed to do.
Rowen is a beta, a manager in the music industry that's keen to help omegas take control of their bodily autonomy from an industry that's keen to exploit them. A beta FMC is unusual, but absolutely works here. The three men that surround her are a wonderful mix, each giving her what she needs to deal with the industry exec trying to take her down.
There's plenty of steam, starting off as a way to calm and ground her, and developing as the relationships develop. Like the other books in this series, I love the language used, almost treating the human experience as computer system. Sounds odd, but trust me, when you read it, it works!
Overall, I loved this book, and the world these two authors have created. Each book stands alone, but with call backs - and call forwards - to keep the series tied together. Can't wait for the next one.
This book was in the same world, but also different in so many ways. We deviate from the typical story about an omega in this industry, fighting with their designation and how the world sees them, and instead see an empowering book about an invisible beta who climbs into the light, but brings down an avalanche in the process. Rowan and her clipboard armor may not have thought she could change the world for the omegas and alphas she works with, but she could change their riders to protect them. It’s been her MO her entire career. Stay invisible, while fixing the riders to make a difference in the lives of the people she manages. We deviate from the typical again with the violence. There’s always been the verbal threats and social media threats when the omegas challenge the hierarchy. However, when Rowan is caught on a hot mic with the industries biggest sleaze ball, Vance, knocking him down a peg and refusing to put her client in harms way, she is literally hunted. The safe house she ends up in with Mateo, Stephen, and Juno, prove to be not just a safe house, but headquarters for a war she never thought she’d start or be the face of. There’s so many things going on in this story and I absolutely loved it.
Okay I had been waiting for Rowan’s story and this one was honestly a ride. Rowan has been the quiet fixer in the background of the whole series, the super logical Beta who cleans up everyone else’s disasters, and then one viral moment blows up her entire life. Suddenly she’s the one on the run and hiding in a safehouse with three very intense men.
Mateo is the steady protective one who keeps her grounded, Stephen is the big brain lawyer who clearly respects how smart Rowan is, and Juno is the mastermind pulling strings behind the scenes. Watching the four of them figure each other out was actually really fun. The tension between them starts simmering pretty fast. Like okay… I see what’s happening here.
This one is definitely heavier on plot and strategy than pure romance but I was still hooked. There’s a lot of scheming, secrets, and “oh wow that just happened” moments as everything starts unraveling. And seeing Rowan go from behind-the-scenes fixer to the center of the chaos was honestly really satisfying. The whole thing felt like the story finally leveling up.
We finally get Rowan’s story! I’ve wanted to know more about this character for a while. If you’ve read the previous books you’ve seen her and how strong she is along with her logical approach to things. She’s been working to help the omega artists and wants them to have their rights. This ends up coming back to bite her in the ass when she refuses to have an omega sign an NDA that would basically take away all their rights. Now she’s dealing with the fallout from this. She gets a message telling her to be somewhere and she’ll be safe there. Enter the three alphas Stephen, Mateo, and Juno who each have their own ideas on how to help. I enjoyed how they were able to work together and communicate. I really like when we get a beta’s PoV or they are a main character it brings a different perspective to the typical alpha and omega dynamic. This was a great story with lots of character growth. Definitely well worth the read and I recommend reading them in order it makes more sense for the overall plot and character growth.
"Heat Protocol" by Helen Scott earns a solid 4-star rating and is a compelling addition to the Omega Stream series. Scott's character development shines, creating dynamic characters that resonate within the omegaverse setting. While the main characters evolve throughout the series, it’s best to start from the beginning to fully appreciate the intricate plot and character arcs.
What makes this book particularly enjoyable is its immersive quality. The author skillfully places you in the midst of the action, making the legal proceedings feel immediate and intense. The omegaverse elements add depth and complexity, enhancing the overall experience.
Overall, "Heat Protocol" is a captivating read that expertly blends the omegaverse genre with thrilling legal drama. Newcomers should start from the first book to fully appreciate the series, while long-time fans will find this installment a satisfying and engaging experience.
There is a pretty massive tone shift in the last two books of this series in comparison to the first two. It makes sense, as the characters are very different people than the first two were. It can be a little jarring after the first two books though. I will say, it’s a testament to how good the writers are that they can so full switch tone to match such categorically different characters. Rowan’s brain works a lot like our heroine in the last book did—but the authors did a really good job job of smoothing the interactions between characters so it didn’t feel as clinical as it did in the last book. This one is also much more plot heavy that romance heavy—but it’s an incredibly engaging storyline with plenty of twists and turns. It has an incredibly satisfying ending! I love seeing the Omega Stream world change more with every book! An entire revolution in one series! Well written, and a fun read
This is the 4th book in the series. And each time I read a new one, I'm amazed at how things aren't your typical alpha/ omega story. It's better. This is Rowan's story. She is a manager who fights for the rights of the artists. She makes an alpha very angry when she doesn't get an omega to sign an NDA that would basically take away the omegas rights. So she goes in the run. She gets a call on her burner phone. The voice tells her to go to a specific place. That she will be safe. When she gets there, she finds three alphas. Stephen, Mateo, and Juno want to help her. They believe in her work to fight for the rights of the artists. First and foremost they need to stop the threat she's under. I love how they each have their own ideas. And how they work together to achieve this. There are twists and turns you won't see coming. I absolutely loved this book. It's a great addition to the series
There’s a pretty noticeable tone shift in the last two books compared to the first pair—and while it might feel a bit jarring at first, it actually makes a lot of sense. The characters have grown and changed so much that the story naturally follows suit. Honestly, it’s a testament to the authors’ skill that they can pivot so completely and still make it work. Rowan’s way of thinking is similar to the heroine from the previous book, but this time the interactions feel much more natural and less clinical. The character dynamics are smoother, which really helps the story flow. This installment leans more into plot than romance, but it’s incredibly engaging, packed with twists and turns that keep you hooked. And the ending? Super satisfying. I also love how the Omega Stream world continues to evolve with each book—it really feels like you’re watching a full-scale revolution unfold across the series. Overall, a well-written and genuinely fun read!
H.s has written such an amazing book. I loved her book, heat protocol . I love following FMC in her journey, and I loved to read her growth as a character. I just really love the way these authors write. All the books she writes are always so good and always keep me on my toes. The way their writing is so interesting. I have loved all the books I have read by her. I love the FMC story, and I love watching her relationship grow stronger and stronger. I really loved the twist and turn. This really kept my interest the whole way, and I really love this book. This book was freaking good. What this author comes up with next?
I highly recommend that people read her book, heat protocol . And if you haven’t read this book yet, then what are you waiting for? You are really missing out on something. Her book, heat protocol, is such a good book.
Our FMC is Rowan - a beta manager, who according to music executive Vance causes to many issues and needs to be disposed of!
Enter our heroes - our three alpha MMC's who are completely different but compliment Rowan perfectly!
She is a kick ass and take names later type of lady and her pack is there to support her - although Vance ups the ante and fights back at every opportunity - making for some explosive scenes!
The heroine is epic - the villain is someone you would want to trip down the stairs and the men are drool-worthy and make you want to give them goo-goo eyes with their supportive protectiveness!
I love these authors omegaverse books. Any book they write really, but this series by far has been one of my favorites. Heat Protocol is spicy, intense, and dangerously addictive. One viral moment turns a brilliant, secretive Beta from behind-the-scenes fixer into the center of a storm, forcing her into hiding with three powerful men sworn to protect her. What follows is a tense, high-stakes story packed with chemistry, loyalty, and a pack dynamic that absolutely sizzles. The mix of danger, intelligence, and possessive devotion makes this one impossible to put down. If you love protective alphas, clever heroines, and heat with your tension, then buckle up buttercup cause you are in for one heck of a ride. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
When a music executive Vance tries to get rid of beta manager Rowan Quinn, our take no prisoners FMC, for causing too many problems he has no idea the world of trouble he’s just created. When the three amazing alpha MMCs, all completely different but all making a perfect combination for her, step in to help Rowan’s life gets a lot more interesting. Not only does she have these three amazing men all helping her fight back and keeping things hot but Vance responds by upping the stakes creating a very exciting plot. If you ever wanted to see an overgrown playground bully get beaten at his own game all while the heroine falls in love with three super hot men this is the book for you.
We join the Omega Stream world again with Rowan. I loved Rowan and her take charge and leave them in the dust attitude from the book with Riot Theory. It started off very quickly with a bang. We have three elite men swooping in to assist. Early on we learn some interesting facts about these three elite men that insert themselves into Rowan’s life to assist her. Rowan’s world is quickly falling apart just because she has the strength to do the right thing. The story is well written and it doesn’t disappoint, it does have some lingo that at times is strong. But, it doesn’t take away from the story. A great addition to the Omega Stream world.
Rowan is the Beta who is lives in the pages of contract law. Her work is untouchable because she makes it that way. One hot mic backstage and an Alpha who thinks he should get his way upends everything. Juno, Stephen, and Mateo offer her sanctuary and something she never thought to want, Pack.
Continuing the nonverbal discourse of this series, readers get to see an industry brought “to heel” by a determined Pack unwilling to ignore what’s wrong in their world. This book was much heavier in the story telling than the “Heat-ness” of it, but I appreciated that. I hope it was intentional because I was immersed in the architecture of what was happening and how it would come about.
After meeting Rowan in Heat Redacted, I loved reading her own story. Rowan is a smart, strong manager who stands up for her clients, especially if they're omegas. She pushes back against the music industry and its treatment of omegas and one music executive destroys her career because of it. In the midst of the fallout, Rowan is rescued by Mateo, Juno and Stephen and these four take on the executive and the music industry.
If you've read the other books in the series, you know the author aptly uses industry jargon throughout the book. I think it's well done and fits the storyline. This book combines courage, banter, spice and action. Another fun read in this interconnected series!
Rowan is a no-nonsense Beta. While she certainly has many strengths, she does end up running into a bit of a problem that requires her to enter a safehouse. This is where she meets three elite men who will change everything for her, Mateo, Juno and Stephen. When these four get together, they are even more of a powerhouse, and they work together to take on the hate against omegas. The Omega Stream series has standalone reads, but it's cool to see how they intersect with each other set in the same world. This was a stellar addition to the series and I look forward to seeing the characters and world expand more.
Another fabulous story in the Omega Stream series. Here we get Rowan’s story. The Beta who stands up for omegas and doesn’t let the industry railroad them. Now she’s the one being targeted by those same people. Watching her stand up to them was everything. In her story she meets 3 men. We have Juno who has his own secrets but bring empathy to Rowan’s chaos, Mateo brings grounding and safety (even when it upsets her), and Stephen brings logic and recognition. They all support her in their own way and although she may fight it I loved watching her cave to the pack.
We see Rowan as a fierce protector of designation rights. With her clipboard of armor, she cuts men down, until she steps on the wrong toes. Now she has an alpha willing to do anything to destroy her. Enter Juno, Stephen, and Mateo. Can Rowen bring down an entire industry who has made it its mission to destroy her or can Rowan and her men bring them to their knees?
I loved how Rowan fought for omega rights in the previous books and I loved that we finally get to see her story.
This story was full of scheming, secrets, steam, and a nice little twist at the end. I absolutely love this series and the way the authors describe things. Overall, a great read.
This was a pretty exciting read from the beginning so I was easily pulled into the story. Sometimes, I struggled a little with the lingo. However, the originality of the story kept me addicted. There was danger, a little action, humor, drama, secrets, spice. I loved Rowan. She was confident, intelligent, and hardworking. Juno, Stephen, and Mateo, were her pack. Overall, I enjoyed Rowan's story. I only wish we could have been told about the MM in the beginning. I think I understand why it wasnt though. Regardless, it was a great read.
Another wonderful story in the Omega Stream series. This one Features Rowan, a beta manager whom we saw in the smlast book that helped create the Omega Safe Rider. This one is about being up again a legal conglomerate and how Rowan and her new pack are able to rewrite the script. I loved how the orose was written true to the characters personality showing how their brains think in legalese even when not writing contracts. There are a few twists along the way which were unexpected, but I loved it. Well done.
This book is honestly kind of niche Omegaverse. It jumps right into the action following Rowan who helped riot theory in a previous book and now is facing hostility. Like that book it uses some industry specific language and slang and the characters honestly are coded as neurodivergent. The plot to me reads what I imagine the brain of great chess players sounds like -- pivots and strategies and contingencies. The spicy scenes did occasionally come across as clinical but I feel that was the author's intention. Overall very interesting read. And the twist! Chefs kiss!
The newest addition to the Omega Stream series. This is Rowan's story. Rowan is a beta manager who is fighting for the rights of all artist's, no matter their designation. But one mistake puts her in the crosshairs of the wrong alpha and sends her on the run. Then comes the voice-the voice that convinces her to follow their instructions for a chance at safety. What she didn't expect to find were 3 alphas who were just the right pack for her. That alpha that was targeting Rowan? Yeah he doesn't stand a chance now.
I really like this series. While each book is stand alone, they all live in the same universe and follow similar patterns. I honestly was on the fence after the last one because I couldn’t follow the industry lingo that was significant throughout the book. this one still contained lingo but it was much easier to follow and understand without direct industry knowledge.
I liked that Rowan wasn’t an Omega in this story. Designation by design is meant to segregate, IMO. The idea of equality based on competence is apparently an earth shattering idea. Who knew?
