On an earth a lot like our own, every creature is born with a magical skill, and Elaine Aquae is one of them. She decides to leave her secluded home in the Alappan mountains and start fresh at Locke University in the fast-paced city of Garriver. She’s lived her whole life believing she’s the only mage with what she thinks is a useless power, but all that changes when she meets Ivan a scrappy, self-serving crook who just so happens to be the only other probability mage alive. He’s learned how to use their ability to manipulate the odds to his advantage, but he doesn’t call it probability…he calls it luck. However, Ivan’s hiding secrets of his own, and when you’re controlling the odds, you have to be careful what you wish for. When caught between passion and a safe life in her quiet hometown, can Elaine rely on the magic that she never really believed in, or will her luck run out?
I'm so lucky to have gotten to read this before its release! I'm not usually a romance or fantasy fan, but this book really converted me, so I would honestly recommend it to anyone! Luck and Probability is full of humor, banter, suspense, mystery, rats, lore, city design, complicated families, magic, spice, and so much more!
