After reading the prequel, I had to start this book, and I can only say that it exceeded all the expectations I had. Yes, it's a mafia romance, which makes us so involved in this story that I didn't even notice the pages passing. Aiden has to get married, but will it be who he wants? Is that even what he wants? Catriona is looking for answers, because worse than being certain is living with doubts! The characters, both so engaging and for me, so well developed, both morally gray yes, but once conquered, nothing will be the same. Some mistakes are for the best. Not only the main ones, but also the secondary ones comfort us! And Eamon, I want to know your story. Knowing Aiden's past was an icing on the cake, we were able to understand his position and even his fear. Some doubts, but also several certainties, that Aiden and Catriona will catch fire for what they believe in, and for the love they have. But until then, we will experience all the uncertainty, and some pain too. Thank you very much to the author for trusting me in reading her book. I received an ARC, and this is my opinion.
