After injury reshapes his body and grief reshapes his life, Luke retreats to the quiet river home he built with his father, determined to heal in solitude. But healing has a way of breaking rules, and hearts.
Eva arrives like firelight against the dark. She is brave, guarded, and carrying a past she refuses to let anyone share. Their connection is immediate, deep, and terrifying. Just as Luke begins to believe in something good again, Eva disappears, leaving behind unanswered questions and a love that refuses to fade.
As months turn into years, Luke learns that waiting can be an act of devotion, that grief does not move in straight lines, and that family can be found in unexpected places. Through loss, reconciliation, and the quiet strength of chosen love, Luke discovers that sometimes survival is not enough, you have to risk your heart again to truly live.
You Saved Me is a deeply emotional romance about devotion, patience, healing, and the kind of love that waits through darkness for the light to return.

Cozy, heartfelt, and full of small-town charm
You Saved Me invites the reader into a not-so-quiet return to small-town life as we follow Luke, our MMC, through his healing and physical therapy journey. After leaving behind his fast-paced city life, Luke settles into a quaint cottage in his hometown, where the stillness brings both comfort and the chance to face long-buried emotions.
Early on, we meet Eva, briefly at first, but the connection between her and Luke sparks immediately. As the story unfolds, we learn about his mother’s care needs, the loss of his father, and the his relationship with his sister. Through his father’s journals, Luke uncovers family history he never expected, and with it, a deeper understanding of himself. Luke and Eva’s relationship blossoms as both characters navigate grief, heartache, and personal growth. Their emotional journeys are tender and honest, giving the story a warm, introspective feel.
My thoughts: This was such a cozy read, one that stirred up all my nostalgic memories of small-town living. Where everyone knows your name and nothing stays secret for long. I personally wished Luke and Eva’s relationship developed a little more slowly, but I know myself and a slow burn romance is more my speed. Even so, their story is sweet, comforting, and beautifully reflective.
If you’re in the mood for a heartwarming escape, light a candle, settle in, and spend an afternoon with You Saved Me.
loved this book! It hits on the difference between just surviving and actual healing after trauma & grief. Showing how different this journey can be for different people. it has a slow burn romance, family drama, hurt, and reconciliation. sometimes friends are found in places you wouldn't expect, and people aren't always who you think they are. it deals with trauma, grief healing, second chances, and loyalty. And sometimes you find that love can last through hurt and time apart, yet still never fades. be prepared to get in your feelings because it can be an emotional roller coaster, but in a good way. I absolutely loved this book, even if it hit really close to home for me.
Heartwarming tale highlighting the redemptive qualities of inner healing! Multiple tears were shed throughout this book and I have to say, the picturesque descriptions of Arkansas truly made me feel like I’ve been there. I’ll have that state on my bucket list for sure!
