This was an absolutely amazing book about surrendering your faith to God, even in times that don't make sense. The author, Jason Clark, had a great way of drawing readers in with his personal journey in faith. I loved how he didn't try and make himself out to be some high and mighty, but was open and honest about his journey. It helped me feel like I was not alone in my journey and that when things did not seem to be working out to what I had thought, that God is still in control and is still working for our good. This book takes you on a journey through times where God said yes and times where He was saying not yet. It gives hope that you can be an overcomer and live an extraordinary life full to the brim of God's promise for your life. I highly recommend this book as a must read for any one.

Jason Clark is comical and real. I love how he connects his experiences in life to a biblical truth or an aspect of God's nature. His willingness to obey God and operate from a position of faith rather than sight is also encouraging. His story really refreshed my spirit, gave me new insights and helped me to be more sensitive to God's work in my day to day life

We all have dreams and visions of doing something exciting, something worthwhile or just hoping for a brighter future. God has a plan for each one of us. Are we listening to Him? Do we sometimes ignore His direction? It is hard to hear His voice if we are busy or ignoring what He is saying to us. "Prayer is one of the ways we learn how to hear God when He speaks to our hearts -when He describes how He loves us." Prayer is so important in our daily life. We get to spend time with God, getting to know Him and developing a deeper relationship with Him.

The author says , "I would like to suggest an untamed life begins when we believe He loves us. " he loves us no matter what . Isn't that good news? It doesn't matter what you have done, He forgives us and loves us unconditionally. That is something for us to get excited about.

I've heard a lot of pastors talk about the wilderness. It's that place where we feel disappointment, pain, or grief and God shows up and teaches us how to love again, feel His grace and wipe our tears away. We all go through trials but as we go through them , we become stronger and begin to trust Him more.

Throughout the book the author has written a very in depth journey to living a life filled with His promise and free of fear to pursue Him without question. The book is very encouraging and has many examples of God's love for us. I loved when the author said these inspiring words, "When we see ourselves through out Father's eyes , we are empowered to dream in the authority of our identity, our promise." I have said for a long time that I want to see others the way Jesus sees them. Now I want to say also I want to see me the way Jesus sees me. That for me is total freedom and abandon to see myself as he sees me.

"It's time to live untamed. It's time to wake the sleeping giant within. It's time to believe and experience signs and wonders. It's time to believe His promises and run headlong into a greater works life."

The life of the Christian should be an untamed adventure, Clark writes. We are to break through the barriers and claim our birthright of wide open spaces.

Clark shares his own journey to experiencing that untamed life. He writes about his yearning for more, his disappointments and dreams dashed, and living in a spiritual wasteland. Living the untamed life begins when we believe God loves us. He writes about practicing obedience, telling our story, slaying giants, being relevant, and the tension of the God-given dream and faith.

I appreciated his teaching on the wilderness experience. This is the place where our relationship to the Father can be developed, he writes. He is honest about receiving revelation, reminding us that it takes time to work it out. Sometimes the pathway seems the opposite of what God has promised. Such testing is an essential part of the story.

Clark realizes the power of story. He tells his story and encourages us to tell ours as well. This is not a Bible study exploring the way to the unfettered Christian life. It is rather a good example of how to tell our own story so others see how God has led us to the place of untamed adventure. He does weave Scripture into the narrative so we can see how that is done too.

This is a good book for men as many of the adventures Clark describes are those men would enjoy, I think, much more so than women. It is an encouraging book, showing how God can work in our lives, even when we make a mess of things along our journey. It's one man's story of living an untamed life and redefining the paradigm of what ministry looks like. It is an encouragement for us to do the same.

Food for thought: “Our hearts are designed for wild worship... Our minds are designed to dream as big as the heart of God... Our bodies are designed for dangerous service...” (99)

"Untamed" by Jason Clark calls you to life that is more than just the ordinary. Do you ever feel that you were made for something more? You are made for something bigger. Discover the abundant life that Christ proclaimed and promised each of his followers in this book. This book is about stepping out of your normal "Christian Bubble" and looking for Jesus in the ordinary for extraordinary moments.
Do you ever feel the nudge by the Holy Spirit to do something crazy and you're not sure if it's your stomach talking or if it's God? Jason has tapped into really listening to God and doing the "crazy" things that we are unsure of. Like praying for the woman's husband outside of a Starbucks because the Lord led him to believe her husband was sick. He asked if he could pray with the wife, because the husband was at home, of course the lady couldn't believe that Jason knew he was sick. They exchanged email addresses and later he received word that the woman's husband was healed and doing well. An ordinary moment that could have been missed, but became so extraordinary.

This book challenges the reader to unleash your faith in so many areas and God will catch you to meet you exactly where you are at. If you take the leap, God will meet you at the jump! What are you waiting for? Dive in, buy the book and jump, so God can meet you in for some crazy faith! This book will challenge your faith, it will help you grow stronger and it will make you see ordinary moments as extraordinary. This book will also help you live out the promises and dreams God has for your life. You were created for a special purpose. He has placed a wild dream and journey unique for you! Go live it!

Review Title: Encouragement to Trust God (review of Untamed by Jason Clark)
Reviewer: Janice S. Garey
***** 5 Stars
Thank you, Jason Clark, for writing a book that dares people to trust God in extreme ways. Stories of faith testing abound in this book whether in the financial realm or listening to promptings of God to take action on an unconventional way to offer prayer to a stranger.

This is not a book for those who are self reliant and trust only in what their five senses tell them about reality. If you are interested in discovering how God can play a bigger role in shaping your reality than what your physical senses encounter then read this book.

Humor resides in this book. The true stories of extreme trust as told by Jason Clark are serious but told in a good humored style. His writing gives a delightful encounter with God at work in the world.

This is a hopeful book that shows a deeper experience with God is available to those willing to fully trust in God. I thank the author, publisher, and bookfun.org for giving me this book in exchange for reading it and posting an honest review. I highly recommend it to Christians, both new and mature in the faith. Seekers who want to better understand the magnitude of encounters with God that they have heard about elsewhere need to read this book.

"Untamed: A Fool’s Guide to Surrendered Faith" by Jason Clark is a 240 page paperback book on spiritual growth. It is an encouraging, uplifting book. The author believes that life should be lived fully. He gives examples through personal experiences and does a wonderful job with his storytelling. His love and dependence on God are evident throughout this inspirational book. Clark writes about his own struggles, failures, dreams, and successes in a relatable fashion. Men especially will appreciate the outdoor adventures and references, but I am sure women will like them, too. He writes about his longing for something more, how he gets down when he fails, and how we should rely on God to direct us. Living the untamed life begins with God. We have to know in our heart that God loves us and wants the best for us. Then comes seeking His will, obedience, and sharing with others. Dotted with scripture this motivational book encourages Christians to open themselves up to God's direction and make the most out of life by living it untamed.
I rated this book a 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone wanting an encouraging book. A free copy was provided for my honest review by The Book Club Network.

Untamed will have you saying "Thank you God". We have all had that feeling when you feel like you should be doing something in your gut. Believe that is God speaking to you telling you to have faith and no matter how crazy something may seem he will be there with you every step of the way. This book will have you wanting more from your relationship with God. It will also give you the strength to share God's word and blessings with everyday strangers you may meet at your local grocery store, hardware store, or even your local coffee shop just like Jason.
If you need help on your journey with God this is the book for you. Thank you and God Bless
