NEW YORK TIMES/USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR

Even though she graduated with a degree in science, Tara knew she’d never be happy doing anything other than writing. Specifically, writing love stories.

She started with a racy BDSM story and found she was not quite prepared for the unforeseen impact it would have. Nonetheless, she continued and The Submissive Series novels would go on to be both New York Times and USA Today Bestsellers. One of those, THE MASTER, was a 2017 RITA finalist for Best Erotic Romance.

Now she is focusing on new contemporary romances that allow her the freedom to write and publish on her own schedule.

The Exhibitionist is the sixth book in the Submissive series and this book continues Nathaniel and Abby’s story.

I love this series hard. I loved that I have followed Nathaniel and Abby from the beginning. I loved reading how they got together, how they got married and how they had children. The Exhibitionist continues their story and I honestly never want it to end.

Nathaniel and Abby have pushed the boundaries of their relationship. It’s clear that Nathaniel is Abby’s Dominant and Master. Although, they do not have a Dominant / submissive relationship 24/7, Abby is collared more and more as they progress in their marriage.

In The Exhibitionist you will see more taboo and kink. Nathaniel will put Abby in situations where she is kind of out for the public to view. I love it when Nathaniel pushes Abby! The topic of threesomes and adding another person into the mix is kind of bounced around. This creates some tension between Nathaniel and Abby because as much as they love each other, they wonder if they should step up the relationship to another level. Nathaniel will have to curb his jealous behavior and Abby will have to trust her Master to know what is best for her.

What really worked for me in this one is the honest relationship Nathaniel and Abby have. They have been married for several years and have overcome many obstacles. It’s a very relatable book. If you are in a serious relationship with someone, you can completely appreciate what Nathaniel and Abby have as a couple.

There is no angst in the book, but there will be fun banter to keep you interested. I love it when Abby gets bratty and questions Nathaniel. Call me crazy, but I love it when Abby gets punished. There’s never a dull moment and Tara Sue Me delivers. I was very happy.

You get glimpses of the characters from the previous book and I’m SUPER excited for Cole’s book, which will be release in February. I feel like that one will be a little darker and a little more taboo. Yes please.

If you are a fan of the series and Love Nathaniel and Abby as much as I do, you will not be disappointed with this one.

*big lusty sigh* Abby and Nathaniel. I love em. Whew! The Exhibitionist was a sexy emotional ride as they deal with changing desires, uncertainties and just being completely in love with the person you're with.

What I love about this series is getting to see these two grow in their relationship. You have that happily ever after but then you get to see what comes next. See the love grow, see life being dealt with, with changing desires and how they handle them as both individuals and as a married couple. It can pull at your heart as they hit little bumps but there's so much beauty in watching them and their love for each other as well.

I enjoy the life bits too. Keeping their romance alive while having young children, with their bdsm play group changing and growing, their friends finding happily ever afters or still trying to get there. I just enjoy the world that's been built and all of the complex people that call it home.

There's some hot and steamy happening as exhibitionism is explored. And whew, yeah, Nathaniel so has that yummy dom thing happening that'll just make a girl squirm. I like that it's not always perfect too. They can both screw up. And sometimes gloriously. It's nice to see a bdsm author that touches on safety and risks in a bdsm relationship and not just that everything is always perfect all the time.

And damn, woman! What an ending! It has me panting for the next book and to see what Cole is like as a hero. Cannot freaking wait!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*does a silly blogger girl dance* Once again going wha? on the cover but Ooooo on the book. Can't wait to start this one.
Tara Sue Me seduces her readers once again as she entices and delivers a tangible love story that exhibited a perfect blend of a deep, sensual, provocative erotic romance in The Exhibitionist. With an irresistible and sinful addictive story-line, Tara Sue Me bewitches her readers as creates and weaves a romance that continues to push the boundaries of submission with undertones of sensuality, passion, pleasure and pain.
#TheExhibitionist
The Exhibitionist reunites readers with our favorite Dom/Sub couple, Nathaniel and Abby West. Without a doubt, Nathaniel and Abby West has a marriage built on the foundations of trust, passion, and love. Their intense, tangible and palpable love for one another can be defined as fierce, loyal, and committed. But what happens Abby begins to crave a new sexual high. Can Nathanial be able to fulfill his submissive's desire while still maintaining control and dominance? As new sexual boundaries are pushed to the limit, Nathaniel begins to question is he enough for Abby? Soon questions of doubts begin to linger in the air as the strong foundations of their love may expose a crack. Can Nathaniel and Abby find a common ground as they fulfill their sexual limits and desires? Or will this Master discover that he may not be able to control everything when it comes to love?
Though this book may be a BDSM erotic romance, I found the story of Nathaniel and Abby to be a raw, emotional, and beautiful love affair that strips readers naked as it exposes that their marriage is like any normal relationship. As their sexual desires may not be of the norm, their love spoke for itself as it was evident in their bond and chemistry .As Tara Sue Me weaves BDSM, eroticism, sensuality, desire, and love, she continues to titillate and seduces her readers with a story that embodies passion and love while pushing the boundaries of pleasure and pain. Overall, the Exhibitionist was a sexy, seductive read that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I look forward to the next installment and can't wait to see what Tara Sue Me has in store for Sasha and Master Cole.
Following Dena and Jeff's story in "The Collar" I was itching to return to the main couple, Abby and Nathaniel. I couldn't wait to catch up with the pair and as I had fallen out with Nathaniel in "The Enticement" I wondered if this story would see him returning to my good books.
This story saw Abby and Nathaniel become members of a new BDSM group and it was mainly focused on the kinky couple continuing to explore their sexual desires together. To be honest, I found that the first seventy five percent of the book to be a little bit uneventful. It did not excite me in the way that I had hoped it would and I started to wonder if I was beginning to lose interest in Abby and Nathaniel's story. After all, to stretch a series out for so long can be a difficult task, however I quickly changed my mind as I reached the second half of the book. Abby and Nathaniel's relationship was put to the ultimate test as the couple began to push their fantasies even further. This definitely piqued my interest!
"This turns you on, doesn't it, Abigail? Stripping in front of someone, showing off your body, knowing he can't touch."
I was so glad that I continued with this story as my excitement for Abby and Nathaniel returned. I thoroughly enjoyed how the story played out and I am happy to say that Nathaniel has worked his way back into my heart. I felt that my change of feeling towards him was aided by the fact that Tara Sue Me had chosen to write this book from duel POV, therefore I was enlightened to Nathaniel's true feelings and thoughts about his relationship with his wife. I was pleased that, at last I could trust him again. There are still things that annoy me about Abby and Nathaniel's Dom/Sub relationship, but they both seemed to be blissfully happy by the last pages so I can't complain.
"Every part of you, no matter how small or big or how it's wired, is what makes you the person you are. And that's the person I love."
The next book in the series is about Sasha and Cole and I cannot wait. It promises to be another fantastic instalment in the series. If you haven't yet started this series and you are curious about the world of BDSM, I would highly recommend reading this series but make sure you read it in series order. Abby and Nathaniel's journey together appears to be the most realistic of all the books that I have read in the Dom/Sub genre.
"You're so much a part of me now, it'd be easier to lose a limb than to live without you."
"The Exhibitionist" gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️ from me.
I really thought I was done with the series...until I did a clean-up on my pile of books during the weekend and found this at the bottom of the box.
What else can I do but read it since I had forgotten I had bought it years ago when it was on sale...
I cannot say I love it because the series is a bit much for my little, prudent, monogamous mind to wrap around it and I had put this series behind me and never to be minded again.
Every time I pick up a book in this series that focuses on Nathaniel and Abby I'm always slightly worried. I never like seeing a couple who got their happily ever after have to deal with more drama. But at the same time I'm always curious to see how they are doing. I have to say though, Tara Sue Me knows how to give us more without totally destroying a couple we have come to love and I truly appreciate that.
I really loved watching Nathaniel and Abby's relationship grow. Their dynamic is so intriguing and I love that they have continued to get stronger as time has gone on. Their chemistry is still amazing and I just really like how they work together. But as with any relationship, there are always issues and it's interesting to see how they work through them.
I've never been one who has been head over heels for Nathaniel. I like him a lot and I love him for Abby, but I know I would want to punch him a lot (and that's okay, I don't need to love him but I love them together). In this one though he makes a HUGE mistake and surprisingly the way he reacted to that is what made me come to love him more. He screws up big time, but he recognizes that and he finally starts to realize certain things and he owns his mistake. It puts a lot into perspective for him and I loved that he wasn't too big to see past his shortcomings. That really made me admire him. It also showed how these two have made their relationship work. They communicate very well... most of the time at least.
I also liked checking in with our other characters again. Dena and Jeff are adorable and I'll forever love Daniel and Julie. This book also set up Cole and Sasha nicely and I know that dynamic is going to be interesting. Cole is SOOOOOO intense, so that book is going to be crazy.
All in all, The Exhibitionist is another strong addition to the series. This series is one I continue to enjoy and I can't wait to see what happens next.
This is my first Tara Sue Me novel and it was really good. Very steamy and even though I hadn't read the previous books in this series I didn't feel lost at all.
Abby and Nathaniel are a great couple but they have their insecurities. Nathaniel is her Dom and her husband but we find out through the story that Abby's love of exhibitionism has him doubting their relationship. Abby has her own insecurities as well. She trusts him deep down but there's someone that seems to trigger her jealousy. Can they work all this out?
In between this story we get a lot of steam. So if you are looking for a book that has both a plot and steam this is a great book to pick up.
This series continues to amaze me. I like how things oscillate between:
1) Primal, animal during hot scenes, where minds are singularly focused on bodily pleasures, or simply out of it all, because there's only so much pleasure that human beings, especially unaccustomed ones, can endure before having to transcend it somehow. Usually by evaporating into subspace.
2) Deeply human, where differences are negotiated, usually successfully, sometimes less so. But there's learning experience for all participating parties and it ends up with more mutual respect, admiration, and even more physical attraction, if it's even remotely possible. Because, characters in this book, they're already burning their sexual chemistry candles from both sides.
But of course, it's proof that lot of sexuality is in our brains and our symbolic imagery. Not all, but still, brain is a miracle.
Cultivate it by reading good books.
Kitty's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews
I have to say that I am really enjoying this series. It’s suspenseful at times, loving and humorous at others. The characters, being as complex as they are, are extremely well written and developed. I do not suggest that you try to read this book as a stand-alone. The Submissive series may center around Nathaniel and Abby, but you would need to understand how they got to where they are today, how they ended up in Wilmington and how the other characters intertwine with them. In fact, they all seem to play a very integral part in their lives and you would really need to understand how each of them came together and how they fit into their lives.
As their lives move forward, as they move from New York to Wilmington, both Nathaniel and Abby have to reevaluate their relationship, have to come to terms with the need for public play and have to decide if a third is really in their best interests. They also have a large responsibility to the members in the Partners in Play group as well as to each other. They are balancing home life, with work and their sexual needs. Not unlike most partners with young children, they have to find that alone time that’s needed to fulfill both of their needs. So, here is where I hand it to Nathaniel … he has a way with words that would bring any woman to her knees but, when he makes his plans for Abby and their play time, you know that you are in for one wild ride with a Dominant that can kick it up so many notches that you won’t know up from down. But, when jealously mixes with doubt and that judgement call he made backfires, we see the loving, caring, guilt-ridden man brought to his knees.
One of the things that I love most about the writing of Tara Sue Me is the way that she brings all the characters together, the way she brings them into Nathaniel and Abby’s life and makes them part of the story. Her timelines are believable and the people she brings in only enhances the story, doesn’t take anything away from it. She has dealt with the “scene gone wrong” and is now starting to bring Sasha full circle and back into the group. Dena and Jeff, Julie and Daniel, Luke, Lynne, Cole, Sasha, Meagan …. The list goes on and on and each person or couple brings a different perspective to the BDSM lifestyle and brings out a different layer of Nathaniel and Abby. But, most of all, her writing is erotic, edgy, passionate … she writes a compelling story that is filled with love. The Exhibitionist is a wonderful example of love and just how far we are willing to go before we see the truth that is staring us in the face and realize that your life is complete just the way it is.
So, next up is Sasha and I cannot wait to see just how Tara Sue Me brings her back into the group, how she handles the fear and panic that she has had since Peter and just how Cole keeps here suspended in a mind-fuck without fucking her body. Now, that should be an interesting scenario.
Every time I begin to think that there is no way to get yet another book out of this series, I am absolutely proven wrong. The Submissive Series does an amazing job showing the growth and strength of a D/s dynamic. Tara Sue Me does an impeccable job laying out not only wonderful characters with an intriguing story-line, but she brilliantly lays out the intricacies of a well functioning BDSM relationship/life style. The series starts and follows Nathaniel and Abby from the beginning of their journey and the foundation of their partnership. We watch them grow together and into a family, while meeting and becoming vested in the other people in their life along the way.
As with any relationship, theirs has had ups and downs and we’ve watched the scene play out before us. We’ve seen them go through trials and tribulations. In The Exhibitionist we find a couple that’s been together for ten years in the lifestyle, and as life does, things have gotten monotonous for them and they’ve become complacent. We see fear and jealousy weaken their restraints, not only between a Dom and his sub, but the bonds of matrimony as well. While this caused my heart to clench and for me to hold my breath multiple times, the lesson learned and the love that flourished was well worth the anguish. The love between the two and the trust needed is beauty in it’s purest form. This is a touching component to a mind-blowing serial that continues to exceed expectations.
“You’re so much a part of me now, it’d be easier to lose a limb than to live without you.”
I can’t wait for Sasha and Cole’s story in The Master. That man is sexy as sin with a sultry side of badassedness. I think Cole may just be one of my favorites.
Is it February yet???
Nathanial and Abigail are back again in The Exhibitionist, book six in Tara Sue Me’s Submissive series. As opposed to the last Submissive offering, The Exhibitionist focuses directly on them as a couple. It’s not a stand-alone read by any stretch, so you should have at least read books 1-4 to be up to date. You may have thought that their story was done, but Tara Sue Me does something that few authors have had the courage to do in BDSM. She follows Nathanial and Abigail into the territory of an established and comfortable marriage. We all know that conflict isn’t over after marriage and the first child is born. Abigail has always liked being watched. Nathanial knows this well and they use this time in their marriage to explore the boundaries of their comfort levels. Pushing too far could spell disaster, but Nathanial wants to keep his beautiful submissive wife happy. Can she trust him to give her what she needs?
I will admit that I wasn’t sure where this one was going at the onset. I expected a book about Nathanial and Abigail experimenting with different levels of outside participation in their scenes and this IS what The Exhibitionist is all about, but as I progressed, I wasn’t sure I was finding a significant enough conflict to make this book anything more than play scenes strung together. Don’t get me wrong. They are scorchingly HOT scenes. Tara Sue Me never fails to dream up unique and surprising scenarios and Nathanial’s dirty talk is always a highlight. Reading it for these is worth it alone, but I do like to see some sort of plot arc and progression. We learn that Nathanial and Abigail are moving to Delaware on a more permanent basis and they are becoming more actively involved in their Partners in Play BDSM group. We get to see in inner workings of their marriage, how they negotiate major decisions going forward. I’ve always loved that Nathanial sees Abby as a true partner and though his dominance shows when they come to an impasse, Abby never shies away from letting her feelings be known. He puts her happiness at the forefront, and this is wonderful to see. One of the conflicts that runs through multiple books involves one of Nathanial’s female employees. I’ve found it disappointing in the past that he has been so dismissive of Abigail’s feelings regarding her, as Abigail has never shown herself to be a jealous submissive except with her. It seemed so out of character for him. Nathanial was so worried about the fact that Abigail might not trust him that he appeared blind to the fact that maybe his employee wasn’t the one to be trusted. We get some resolution where the employee is concerned, thank goodness! And what felt like play scene after play scene finally came to a head in the last 20% of the book and made for a shocking, dramatic, and poignant ending. You WILL be angry, however. You will want to punch Nathanial in the face. And you will want to cheer Abigail for her strength in proving that the submissive is the one that really holds all of the cards. I really did LOVE the ending and was a satisfied and happy reader when I closed my Kindle. All in all, this was a good addition to the series and although it started off slow, it ended with an enormous bang.
Kitabın tanıtım yazısını okuduğumda bu kitap ne anlatıyor ya, diye bayağı bir düşünmüştüm ve kitabın ortalarına kadar da bu düşünme sürecim devam etti. Ve ortalarından sonra tanıtım yazısıyla hiçbir alakası olmadığını fark ettim kitabın. Her şey tamamen Nathaniel'in kafasının içinde gerçekleşiyor.
Yine Abby ve Nathaniel'in ilişkileri ve hayatlarındaki yenilikleri içeren güzel bir romandı ortalara kadar ama kitabın diğer yarısını okumak tamamen işkence oldu benim için. Hatta şu an yazarın okurların üzerinde mind-fuck denediğinden şüpheleniyorum. Eğer gerçekten böyle bir durum varsa son derece başarılı olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Ama yine de kitabı çok sevdim.
Kitabın ikinci yarısı Nathaniel'in kendi kafasının içinde kaybolmasını anlatıyordu ve o kadar kayboldu ki en sonunda her şeyi mahvetti. Ama tabii ki her zamanki güçlü ilişkileri bu zorluğun da üzerinden kalktı. Ben duygusal olarak Abby'nin yerinde olsam Nathaniel'i affedebilir miydim bilemiyorum ama onların ilişkisi için aksini düşünmek biraz fantastik olurdu.
Son birkaç kitaptır sürekli Cole ve Sasha kısımları var seride ve diğer subların Cole'den sanki bir canavarmış gibi bahsetmesinden hiç hoşlanmasam da bu kısımlara bayılıyorum. Zaten Cole ve Sasha'nın hikayesinin sırası geldi. Onların kitabını da büyük bir merakla okuyacağım.
Yet another exquisite book from Tara Sue Me.
I just can't seem to understand how Tara Sue Me, can keep making these "mindfucking" book there seems to be no end of it, and for God's sake let there not be an end of it.
I love the way that Nathaniel and Abby's life,  relasionship and personalities keep getting further and further whit all there's in to a relationship as jealousy, sadness, happiness and so on.
Again I have cried, laughed felt anger and much more together with Nathaniel and Abby and their friends. I feel so alive and though dreaming when i read about them.
The perfect thing in this book is that it's surrounding every aspect of their life. And that it tells us more about Nathaniel's feelings and thoughts in the same time we also get to have our bite of their mind-blowing sex life.
Thank you so much Tara Sue Me
for another wonderful book.
I can't hardly wait for the next one
FIVE KINKEST STARS EVER
Update for the release day
ANGY'S BOOK REVIEW: 5++ STARS
More of Abby & Nathaniel? YES, please! Reading about this couple makes me so happy! They have matured so much since the first two books, The Submissive & The Dominant , but just like any other couple, they still have problems, in and out of bed, and they made this book more and more interesting.
The Exhibitionist starts with Nathaniel and Abby's move to Delaware where all their friends from The Partners In Play BDSM group live —Daniel & Julie, Jeff & Dena, Sasha and Cole. Since it’s been awhile since they were active in one BDSM group, Nathaniel senses a growth of the exhibitionist side in Abby. So, being the good Dom he is, Nathaniel starts pleasing her in every possible way by making all her fantasies come true. This also worries him—among other things—because after being together for a long time he feels like he might eventually be out of ideas. Abby had things to worry about as well.  So when they both finally expressed (maybe the correct word is exploded) those worries, their relationship was threatened in the worst way.
There are so many things to love about this book:
First of all, there's Nathaniel—the perfect Dom. He is caring, considerate, commanding, creative and rough. He’s a great husband, father and a friend. He also cares for his new community, and not only because they are friends but also because he is now their leader.
Second, is Abby. I love her. I loved reading her chapters. She’s so sassy and talkative. And when she’s in Nathaniel’s collar, her thoughts are THE BEST! It was funny to read how her mind raced with all the kinky stuff they were doing—sometimes arousing, other times shocking—but most of the time her sassy mind wanted to snap at her Master.
Third, their friends. The couples we already knew from the previous books, Daniel & Julie, Jeff & Dena, had a big part in this story. Of course, it’s always great to get insight into their relationships and to know what kinky stuff they are experiencing. Their friendships are so open, and they discuss almost everything. Their opinions and advice are always well received.
Also, the sex in this book was mind blowing. You would think that after seven of these kinky coupled books Tara would be out of imagination. That is not the case. The role plays and the group scenes were SCORCHING HOT! I love Tara’s writing style, it’s erotic,alluring, and explicitly sexy as hell. I’ve read a lot of BDSM books in the last two years and Tara always exceeds my expectations in this matter.
Two new couples were introduced in this book, and I quote Tara:
The first book is THE EXPOSURE, it'll feature Abby's boss, Meagan and photographer, Luke.
The second book is THE FLIRTATION and it'll be Simon and Lynne's story.
All and all, this is so far my favorite addition to Abby & Nathaniel’s story.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 4 STARS
Angelica Lee has been Abby from the beginning. I love her performance. She always plays her perfectly. She uses a sexy breathy voice when Abby is wearing Nathaniel’s collar and a comfortably sassy voice when she’s out of his collar. Also, her inflections for the male characters are very believable, especially Nathaniel’s. She does a perfect Dom voice for him.
Accompanying Angelica for this recording is Jack Cave . Listening to him speak, at first, was a huge turn off. I have to be honest, Jack's voice isn’t how I've imagined Nathaniel at all. Now, I know Nathaniel isn’t a 25 year old. But Jack sounds...old. So I said to myself: “I’ll give it a try. I've done it before. It'll be fine." And eventually I got used to his voice. He is a good narrator. It doesn’t matter if his voice didn’t match my “imaginary” voice for Nathaniel. Jack did great job with The Exhibitionist.
Over all, this audiobook made the sex scenes hotter, the role plays funnier, and the family/friend interactions of Abby & Nathaniel lovelier.
Tara Sue Me’s sixth book in her shockingly erotic romance series, The Exhibitionist, is finally here and readers find themselves back with Nathaniel and Abby as they navigate their ever changing relationship. It’s been a long road for Abby from the moment she met Nathaniel and realized her submissive qualities. They have faltered along the way but their commitment to each other has never been stronger. As any relationship does after years of being together, things have slowed down with the commitments both Nathaniel and Abby have outside of the playroom, but through it all Nathaniel has strived to keep them connected as Dominant and submissive.
Lately Abby has been hinting at wanting to try more public play now that they have settled into a new home and new BDSM group. As much as Nathaniel tries to give Abby what she craves, he worries that he may not be enough for her anymore and perhaps bringing in a second Dominant is what she actually needs. The idea of sharing Abby set his teeth on edge, but he knows if it’s what she needs, he’ll do anything to give it to her. The problem I had with this was the fact that throughout the book Abby repeatedly says she doesn’t want or need a threesome. She says she has no problem with other men participating in a scene in a non sexual way, or watching her and Nathaniel together, but over and over she says she doesn’t want another man/Dominant participating in the actual sex. Yet Nathaniel seems to think he knows her better than she knows herself (grrr) and feels the need to pursue the idea which causes friction between the two. Otherwise, Nathaniel is his charming, commanding and very sexy self. His ability to come up with scenes in which to have Abby submit were imaginative and made this reader long to be able to step into the scene and experience the sensations first hand. His caring, sensitive and yet strong demeanor always has me coming back to re-read scenes where he’s forefront and exhibiting his true nature.
Past characters make appearances and set up the story nicely for what is sure to be an excellent following book which will feature Dominant, Cole and submissive, Sasha. Their story is sure to be emotional as Sasha gets over her fear of submitting after a harrowing ordeal that left her battered and bruised. Because of Cole’s reputation to be an extremely demanding Dominant and unused to the softer side of things, his instant attraction to Sasha was as surprising as her attraction to him. Especially since she has shied away from anything BDSM related since her bad experience.
As always, Tara Sue Me creates erotically charged scenes with ease that never fail to quicken the pulse. Her characters are relatable, well rounded and realistic. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and The Exhibitionist takes Abby and Nathaniel’s relationship to the next level, emotionally and physically. Watching their relationship evolve over the years has not only been wonderful reading but satisfying as well. I will be eagerly anticipating book seven!
The Exhibitionist (Submissive #6)by Tara Sue Me
When Abby West discovered her submissive desires, she felt like she was born anew. But lately, her Dominant husband hasn’t been the demanding Master who once fulfilled her every passion. Abby begins to crave something else—and to wonder if Nathaniel can still push her past her boundaries to the places she craves.
Nathaniel knows that Abby belongs to him completely, but even he can’t ignore the pleasure on her face as they get to know their new BDSM group. They’ve invited Nathaniel to guide their group to a new level, and he’s promised to show them the way, even as he recommits to fulfilling his beautiful submissive wife’s every desire. Only this time, uncovering her sexual limits may also expose their relationship to more conflict than it can withstand.
My Review:
Again another book I have mixed feelings about. The Exhibitionist creates sexual conflict and exploration for our couple as they continue to open up the boundaries of their relationship and test their understanding of what they qualify as pleasure or punishment and how their experimenting affects the other areas of their relationship outside of the bedroom. There are areas and ideas I don't agree with but its interesting to see how our h/h handle themselves. I suggest that anyone that hasn't read the previous books in this series start at the beginning because the dynamic of our couple might throw new readers.
My Rating:
4 Stars
I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.
If you love reading BDSM books Tara Sue Me is one of your go-to authors. The Submissive Series is about a group of individuals who practice BDSM either 24/7 or in the bedroom. The two characters focused on in this book are Nathaniel and Abby. These two characters are married and only practice their BDSM in the bedroom or when they're out for their group nights.
As their marriage and relationship grows Nathaniel tries to keep their relationship from becoming routine. They have their nights of the week Abby wears her collar and scheduled times on the weekends and group nights. In order to shake things up a bit Nathaniel wants to explore Abby's need for exhibitionism. Which is a struggle for him and his Dominate nature.
Abby loves when people watch her scene with her Master. When she and Nathan are performing her desire is ricocheted to another level. These two and their love for one another seems to hold strong with every story Tara writes about them. There are some bumps though. Some major ones in this particular story.
I enjoyed this story. Initially I had a hard time with the story keeping my attention but it didn't take long for it to keep my interest. This is one of my favorite series to read and the author does a great job incorporating all the characters from the series in each of the books she writes.
I just finished the Exhibitionist and I liked it. There is something about the BDSM world that just pulls me in. This is about Nathaniel and Abigail. This is apart of the submissive series and I didn't realize going in that this is a continuance of their story so no wonder at times I felt lost but was still able to follow through and enjoy it. This story for me about them getting older and possibly thinking that their relationship might be in a rut after being together for so long, they kinda spice things up in their BDSM world. Their lives intertwine with the secondary characters and even though ouch it is as never overshadowed but that it's put me in a OMG, I so wanna read the next one with Sasha and Cole. I was entertained from the beginning and I definitely didn't want to put it down! I can't wait to see what's next!
Remind me not to read any more books by this particular author. Her writing style is dismal. Her story is very "talky." There's lots of meaningless dialogue, and what makes it worse is that she makes no reference to what character said which quote in a long thread of dialogue. I found the conversations very frustrating to read. What's more, the every day "normal" conversations were so inane and boring; it was pretty much like sitting through someone's staff meeting on logistical operations. I've read much better books of the BDSM genre by other authors. This book left me yawning rather than aroused.
Abby & Nathaniel's story is getting long & boring, It was good to read more about Nathaniel's feelings, but this was just an ok read for me. I'm not invested in these characters, although I did feel for Nathaniel trying so hard to please his submissive wife's needs. I don't feel like he deserved to be put through so much emotional angst.
What if a couple’s sex life moves in a direction where both are no longer comfortable? Where is the long standing BDSM relationship between Nathaniel and Abby going?
Abby takes great pleasure in exhibitionism. It arouses her, but this desire doesn’t necessarily mean that it is all encompassing. She still has her limits.
Nathaniel may be dominant but that doesn’t mean he’s fearless. What if his wife’s sexual interests are heading towards a path that go beyond his hard limits? How can he reconcile this with his desire to sate his wife’s pleasures?
Tara Sue Me does an amazing job of balancing hot kinky BDSM with typical relationship concerns. The sex is crazy hot and the love is real and tender.
DNF at about 55%.
I had surgery yesterday. I'm trying to read this but I just can't focus. I also don't care for any of the characters. Maybe that's because this is actually part of a wider series, but it's erotica and I don't expect there to be a lot of, uh... character development, if you will.
For once I'd love to read an erotica series that doesn't involved incredible wealth as being one of the components.
It's alright. The writing is quite good and it felt less ridiculous than The Juliette Society, but the problems feel so much more shallow.
I love this series and love when it gets back to the OG’s :) We see more of Nathaniel & Abby & how they deal with some turbulence in their marriage. I’m glad the author has stayed true to these characters. Yes, characters can grow & learn from experiences & even try new things. But some things, even for this couple are off limits. I was “scared” for a hot minute. Great characters. Great story. Also a great set up for Sasha & Cole. While writing this, I realized I had skipped ahead in the series by 2 books. Best thing? I did not for even a second feel lost.
I feel like the author tries to push the envelope so much with each book that they are becoming really unrealistic. I listened to the audio and I feel like so much was put in for shock value. I am not sure how the narrators were able to get through that book with a straight face. Is it wrong of me to want a tad bit more plot? That would be great.
Settling into life in Delaware has been a bit of a challenge for the Wests. Nathaniel has the added challenge of finding ways to fulfill Abby's exhibitionist desires. His creativity is being pushed to its limits. It helps that he and Abby are becoming firmly ensconced in the Partners in Play group as a senior Dom and submissive and work toward making the group more cohesive and safer.
