After Jet realised she was unhappy with her life, she put a plan into action to transition, quit her job as a lawyer, and pursued her true dream: becoming a tattoo artist. Bliss is the seventh artist Jet has met with in the hopes of finding her perfect match, and after some encouragement (that is, him figuring out they're both trans and neurodivergent), he agrees to an apprentice trial run.
Unfortunately, things don't go to plan. Jet takes a few too many liberties at the job, and Bliss is hopelessly attracted to her, everything about her tests his submissive instincts. Hoping to find some form of release after a month of sexual tension, Bliss heads to his favourite kink club, only to find Jet there. It doesn't take a lot of persuasion for him to agree to be her model for a shibari demonstration.
Finding Bliss is a 25K word novella with side characters from A Mutual Connection. It features a T4T romance with an autistic Domme and a AuDHD sub and includes explicit adult content.
Kay Claire is an illustrator, comic creator and author from Cape Town, South Africa. When not doing art or writing they spend most of their waking hours reading, trying out new hobbies, and taking their dog for walks.
this T4T kinky romance about tattoo artists w/ neurodiversity rep was a short + sweet tale about being true to yourself and shooting your shot! loved it!
This was my first MF T4T book I've read. I feel like the way the author handled everything was wonderful. There are so many facets and aspects of being a trans individual that cis people don't know. This couple not only were both trans, but both were also neurodivergent. While the fact that Jet was autistic was stated clearly, her mannerisms also made it pretty evident. Between the trans and neurodivergence, all of it was handled with grace and sensitivity. I really enjoyed the characters as well as the story. I ended up picking this story up from a newsletter announcing a neurodivergence in queer romance event.
this is technically a companion novella but you can 100% read it as a standalone. it's t4t kink tattoo artist romance and I loved it. I really liked Jet and Bliss when we met them in A Mutual Connection and was so excited to see their beginning.
also really appreciated the two very different neurodivergent rep.
jet is the epitome of black cat girlfriend, she is trans and autistic (maybe ADHD too? I don't remember)
bliss is the sunshine boyfriend, also trans AuDHD.
I fell in love with Jet and Bliss in a Mutual Connection so I am so glad that Kay decided to give them their own story. It's just as steamy and kinky as I expected, but I also really enjoyed the discussions of gender exploration and realization and the way that mental health, was handled and discussed. There's just something about a Kay Claire story that feels nice and lovely and I can't wait for more.
I really enjoyed this novella! Jet & Bliss intrigued me from the first moments I met them in A Mutual Connection. Getting to see how they met and fell in love was wonderful!
I loved this! Jet and Bliss are fantastic characters, and it’s awesome to see such a healthy representation of kink in a story. I can’t wait for more books about the Blissful Ink family!
