That had been my curse, one that had accompanied me for half my life. At almost thirty years old I was still crazy about him while assuring my friends that Ash was like a brother to me. I’d repeated it so many times that I could’ve believed it, but my heart was not so easy to manipulate. Something inside me pushed me not to give up, and I was beginning to feel tired of being the good girl in the family.
