I received this book as a gift and I found all of the information inside interesting and very helpful. I haven't had a chance to use any of it yet, but I plan too.
This book was great...you would think a self-help book would be boring and hard to stomach, however this one is completely different. I don't even think it should be termed a self-help book...it was entertaining to read and kept me going. I would recommend this book to anyone having relationship problems, or just looking for love; like me.
I’m blown away by this book on relationships! Siggy breaks down any state that your in. Whether it’s single, divorced, or trying to improve your marriage. She explains the mistakes girls make with guys. Explains why and how a guy thinks to advice on what to do when alone. I give this book 5 stars and it was a quick read. I spent hours reading and couldn’t put the book down. Trust me this book is a relationship saver! Make your own fairy tale is something I haven’t thought of.
I read this out of curiosity. I hope Siggy writes something new and refreshing, because she completely lost me very early on with this one. I felt pained reading it. I finally stopped myself and said "No more."
Comprehensive, but succinct and light-hearted guidebook for (primarily heteronormative) women who are ready to get into a relationship or strengthen the one they have.
Full of anecdotes and quick, easy exercises to help readers piece together their expectations and define relationships on their own terms.
Four stars for the "questions you should ask" lists. Excellent, specific questions that really should be asked to help both individuals in a relationship determine whether they are a strong potential match and would help each other become better and more fulfilled people. The questions are vital to ask...even if you are just asking yourself. Write down the answers -- it will be so illuminating and can even save you from immense heartache.
I picked up this book because I enjoy Siggy's podcast, "Just Sayin'". I'm probably not the target audience of the book...to put it in Siggy's words..."I've found the lid to my pot." That said, she dispenses some solid advice, and I could have used this book a couple years ago.
I definitely will recommend it to friends who could use the advice.
