A Little Pucking Broken

Rate this book
If no one is coming to save me, then no one can stop me, right?

Unfortunately, that’s very wrong because the universe has a way of tipping the scales against me. For eleven years, I’ve done everything possible to survive, even if it meant hurting others.

Every avenue of escape has been blocked, and even when I thought I was safe, I was wrong.

Four men have found me in a warehouse, bleeding out from alpha inflicted wounds, and I’m still not sure if I’m free. Some things can’t be healed, and I may be a little pucking broken forever.

This is a dark hockey omegaverse standalone in the Forbiddenverse that’s connected to Knot a Pucking fan.

✨May contain spoilers✨

I know that with this universe, Forbiddenverae, that it’s going to hurt. I also love how she shows that even the strongest designations can get hurt and that it’s not always the omega. This is why I love her books.

Troy and Alisa have my heart so much. First, we have Alisa that just went through hell and back. Then, when she gets free finally, she gets assaulted by three alphas, who then kidnapped her for quite a bit. If it wasn’t for one of their friends seeing her, she would have probably died or even worse.

Then, Troy. I just love him so much. He has to be my favorite out of all the characters. His life hasn’t been easy since he got assaulted. Men can get assaulted and Jenn such an amazing portraying how he felt. Then, later in the book, my heart broke for this man.

Alisa and Troy had the best alphas. Silver foxes and they were perfect for them. They were gentlemen. Lyle, Silas and Easton were everything. I had a few favorite scenes but what I really loved was when Lyle literally had a chef make Alisa a grilled cheese sandwich that wasn’t even on the menu.

So much happened in this book and it makes me intrigued what’s going to happen next. I was so glad that certain characters got their karma. There were so many deaths at their hands that I was so eager for. The whole scene with the three alphas that hurt her had to be my all time favorite because yes… and when Dr. Walsh helps, yes. I loved how he would just all of a sudden pop up when they least expected to.

Of course, Avery is at it again. This girl - I don’t even have words for how delulu she truly is. I have a feeling that things are going to get more interesting.

I need the next book soon because this one had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Guaranteed to hurt before they heal

Alisa has been going through it since she was first trafficked at 14. She has done everything she was required to do so that she could survive. Many different owners and expectations. A few moments of freedom mixed with more captivity. The a final escape leaves her bleeding out on a warehouse floor belonging to Pack Mayor.

Then we add more trauma with Troy. Alpha hockey player who was smexually assaulted by a woman in his hotel room while he slept. This event left him packless and with a last hope Hockey team. It also puts him in the same town as long time friends from Pack Mayor.

The Tiny Pixie has managed to double the trauma on not only an Omega but also an Alpha. I love that trauma can happen to anyone. It doesn't matter if you're a nobody, a celebrity, an Alpha, an Omega, someone with connections, rich, poor, or anything in between. Bad things happen and only you can choose to keep going after the trauma.

I love the way all of Jenn's books connect together. Seeing events, characters and packs reappear in new stories is fascinating. The way this woman can keep track if it all is amazing.

Every story brings new and old horrors, trauma, healing, hope, love, and all the things we love about an Omegaverse. The spice is always either within the trauma or the pack that helps them heal. In this story we see the trauma and pain but that is always represented in a way that fits what is going on. The moments of peace and love always bring the healing in.

I can't wait to see what's next from Jenn's universe.

Where to start? This dose of trauma from our favorite pixie gives us HEA for several characters that exsist in a few different series.

Alisa Finnegan finally gets her story told. (1st mention is Tangled in Knots - Unhingedverse) Honestly it was the part I was looking forward to the most. Pack Mayor and Troy being involved also were huge bonuses.

My review is intentionally vague, if trigger warnings as a shopping list excite you, you're in the right place!

Can you read this without the others? Sure, but the story is so much richer having read the others. No shame in starting here and picking up on backstories though!

Some people finally meet the end they deserve, and the others will all in due time. Check your triggers as always. Oh and buckle up and enjoy the bumpy and twisty ride.

I received an ARC from the author and this is my own opinion.

Wow!! What a ride!! Thankyou @JennBullard for an amazing story!
I have wanted Pack Mayor to finally find their Omega to complete their pack! Alisa rising like a Phoenix trying to outrun her past and recent trauma, hiding in a warehouse and not realising who it belonged to!
This could be her lucky day!
She just needed to get away from the abusive Alpha's that had her tied up for months whilst they tried to breed her.
Having lived for years going from one abusive home to the next as she was sold off within the Omega Sex Trade, she found it very difficult to trust.
Bleeding out and hiding from Max, Jai and Dennis, her last captors, she is found by Pack Mayor.
Pack Mayor had already decided to court Troy, a Hockey Player still reeling from his own abusive trauma, and ex wife, Ella.
He was adverse to touch, from all people, but especially women.
When Pack Mayor and Troy find the broken window in their warehouse, it doesn't take long to find a small woman curled up in a dark corner.
Alisa wakes to 4 Alphas gazing upon her, and a doctor trying desperately to keep her alive.
Does Alisa finally have something to be happy about?
Lyle, Silas, Easton and Troy all realise very quickly that Alisa is their scent match. Alisa, not so much. Too many drugs being put into her system, blocks their scents from her completely.
Just looking at her they realise she has been through hell and back, but she does fight to stay alive.
This is a remarkable story of strength and resilience as both Alisa and Troy heal from their past traumas.
I loved Pack Mayor before this story, and think that Alisa having them as her pack could not have been more fitting.
They forever look after everyone else in Savannah, that is is gratifying that they find love and are able to help Alisa, their new Omega and Troy their new Alpha.
Their Pack is complete.
This story is not without its usual twists to the plot and yes, Avery and Tina make a come back. Those Bitches are so hard to track down and kill!
I was screaming inside whilst reading the chapters with them featured!!
How does Alisa reunite with her family?
Her brothers, Caleb and Lars had never given up looking for their lost sister.
After 11 years it is bittersweet to read of their meeting up with Alisa and her new pack mates.
There is a lot of unaliving, as Pack Mayor takes no prisoners, especially when it comes to their new pack members. They will not hold back if it means that they are safe.
Plenty of cameo appearances from previous books in this series sets the precedent to knowing how well Pack Mayor are and how well respected in the community they are. Help comes from everywhere when it is needed, even if it is not wanted LOL.
Every one loves a HEA and both Troy and Alisa especially deserved the HEA that @JennBullard gave them.
Loved It!!
And I enjoyed this story in it's entirety, and am looking forward to more, as this story has certainly not ended. I have questions, LOL lots of questions!!
If you love Omega Verse with lots of dark tragedy and abuse that leads you through the journey of healing, with lots of feels...plenty of feels (This Pack Mayor has boundless love to give) then this book is for you. It's very dark, so please check the TW before embarking on this amazing journey!

A Little Pucking Broken by Jenn Bullard

If, like me, you're a fan of Jenn Bullard's Traumaverse then you've hopefully read Broken Dreams where we first hear about Alisa Finnegan. We hear about her again in a few other books but this is HER story.

The Prologue is where we first meet her and the people who have her are experimenting on her to try and bring her designation forward early (she was only 14 when she was kidnapped from her bed).

Finally Alisa is free and is trying to stay safe on the streets of Savannah but unfortunately she runs into 3 bullying alphas who initially just plan on r*ping her but then decide to keep her as their omega. She is kept tied up and gagged in their bedroom and they often forget about her and she gets weaker. However she is finally able to escape with the help of one of their friends.

She finds an abandoned warehouse and breaks a window to hide from her kidnappers but unknowingly triggers a silent alarm at Pack Mayor's house. They decide to go and find out what has happened and see if it is someone needing help.

Pack Major are just beginning to court Troy (who we originally met in Knot A Pucking Fan) and he is with them and goes to help them at the warehouse. They come across a very fragile, barely conscious Alisa and after seeing the state she is in they decide to take her back home with them but as they are leaving the wind changes and, yes, they are all scent matched to her. They rush her home and contact Doc (we last saw him in Knot to Be).

The book continues with Alisa recovering but having side effects from drugs she was given by Alpha Brad. We see her reunite with her brothers and Hollis. We find out who was behind her kidnapping and why. Hollis gets her revenge against Aster who has ties to a character we've met recently. There are some good torture scenes which Alisa participates in along with her pack and her family.

All in all this is a really good read. It ties up a few loose ends but still leaves us craving the deaths of a certain duo.

All I can say is carry on Jenn and I'll keep reading your glorious masterpieces.

Poly / WC Dark Omegaverse Romance

“The best stories are the ones where they fight like hell to get their happy ending.”

Check the TWs… Seriously….this one is DARK and graphic in that darkness.
I really enjoyed this book. It was an emotional roller coaster of epic proportions. Jenn likes to weave her stories leaving you on the edge of your seat knowing shit is about to go down at any moment.

An older established pack of 3 (Silas, Easton & Lyle) start courting a professional hockey player (Troy) they’ve had their eye on of years but tried to wait for the right moment but couldn’t wait any longer knowing he was in their city….. then they come across an traumatized omega (Alisa) in serious need of help in a warehouse of theirs in the middle of nowhere….. only to find out she’s scent matched to all 4 of them….

I really don’t want to say much more in case of spoilers….. but there is spice, bonding’ (in more ways then one), there’s funny moments, sweet moments and utterly heartbreaking ones. Remember this is a super dark read and all the MCs are together.

No cheating, no real OWD (only the ‘bad guys’), no third act breakup with a very hard earned HEA

* MMMMF / AAAAO
* Scent Match
* Age Gap / Silver Foxes
* Damsel in Distress
* Hurt / Comfort / Healing & Recovery
* Found Family
* Traumatized & Trafficked FMC
* Sexually assaulted FMC & MMC
* Morally Grey MCs
* Pierced 🍆

May Contain Spoilers you don’t want to know!!

It was great to see Troy, from ‘Knot a Pucking Fan’, meet his people after his assault and divorce… I was really hoping to see him get a HEA

I was so glad to see Caleb and Lars find their sister Alisa after 11 years, they never gave up trying to find her. And she couldn’t have a more perfect pack.

I’m so happy that Pack Mayor found their people, I’ve been dying for their HEA!!

Now to get 🔪🩸those who are still around in this Forbiddenverse that deserve it.

Buckle up because this book is a wild ride. Prepare to have your heart shredded and then slowly put back together again!

⚠️Hard Stop - check the content warnings (if you have TWs) before starting this book. This story is intense. It’s dark and messy and gritty and suspenseful and emotional…and so freaking good! (And had an EXTENSIVE TW menu…er, list)

Alisa - I knew her story was going to be tough. She was taken at a young age and has never been able to feel safe - not once. She experiences so much trauma. When she meets her scent matches, it’s not what you think…there is a long road ahead for her.

Oh Troy - what he went through was horrible and my heart broke for him too. He has this beautiful heart and it was a lot of fun to see him slowly start to break his walls down.

Pack Mayor - I loved them in previous books and now we get to really did into who they are. Lyle, Silas, and Easton - the (almost) trio of silver foxes we didn’t know we needed. They are morally gray, kinda grumpy, protective golden retrievers with pew pews.

No spoilers here - we definitely see some very familiar names and cameos - some expected and some very unexpected. This is Alisa’s story - Lars and Caleb are her brothers and Hollis was her best friend…but after so much time it’s…tough. Her pack isn’t going to mess around with her safety and happiness so who knows how it will play out!!

There is an….unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on your perspective) s’mores 🍆 scene that…well…I can’t tell you - it just needs to be experienced… 👀

This is Pack Mayor, Troy, and Alisa's story. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster.

I cried, I laughed, I yelled. All the emotions hit me and grabbed my heart, tore it apart, and put it back together.

The Forbiddenverse always hurts, but that’s exactly why I love it. Jenn does such a great job at sucking us into her stories and making us love most of her characters!

I adored how the story showed that even the strongest designations can break and it’s not always the omega who suffers.

Troy was such a powerful surprise. His past was heartbreaking, and I loved how Easton, Silas, and Lyle never gave up on him.

They are incredible Alphas who are jagged, loyal, and perfectly matched to Alisa’s own jagged edges. Their dynamic is everything. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

The crossover moments were such a treat, weaving the universe together and bringing back old friends who we adore!! 🙌🙌

I absolutely loved this book. I can't wait for the next one in the series!!

DSM-6 Third Quarter Update Regarding Jenn Bullard Victim’s Disorder
ICD: F65.2

It has become clear to the committee expanding our understanding of the devastating psychological disease know as “Jenn Bullard Victim’s Disorder” (JBVD) will require ongoing, consistent research due to the author’s McD’s fountain coke and french fry fueled insistence that she continues to invent new and creative ways to completely destroy her readers sanity AND reading devices on such a regular basis.

This quarterly update is published to make readers aware of a new modifier code to include the tortured protagonist’s pathology: GRIT ICD: F65.2-G “JBVD with Grit-Associated Fixation”

Grit is defined as the capacity to stay committed to a meaningful long-term goal through setbacks, difficulty, and slow progress. Key elements of GRIT includes: perseverance, resilience, and firmness of character (i.e.: courage, resolve, and endurance in the face of hardship).

As always, after reading A Little Pucking Broken , sufferers are advised to seek support through their nearest JBVA chapter in seeking support for this devastating affliction and tips on where to purchase the best insurance for their broken devices.

A Little Pucking Broken is book four of the Forbiddenverse Series.

Jenn's characters usually have a dark and traumatic past, but Alisa might take the crown with everything she went through. We have seen her in past book and seen that she is willing to do anything to protect herself, even through someone else under the bus. However, when you see everything she has gone through, you can understand why she wanted to minimize the amount of pain she could go through. Silas, Easton, Lyle, and Troy all dealt with the situation the best way they could have. I appreciated how they made her feel free and gave her choices to make for herself.

We met Troy in another story and saw what he went through. He still struggles from what he went through, but with his interactions with the pack we see a more hopeful side for him. I feel what he went through truly helps Alisa and him bond and makes the pack stronger.

There is a lot of emotional and traumatic moments throughout this story. We do come out on the other side with a happy ending, but we get a lot of bumps and bruises along the way.

A Little Pucking Broken

I received this book as an advance copy and these are my honest thoughts.

This book felt different to me. More of a lore drop and less taking down the big bad. Don't get me wrong this was still an amazing book all about healing and recovery. About learning to trust again and realizing that even if you are broken the right people won't care. As with all Jenn Bullard books check your triggers before starting, this is a heavy one.

I loved all of these characters and getting to see pack Mayor in action is a sight to behold. Jenn always has a plan and this does set up several future books and adds so so much dislike for Avery. We get to finally see where Troy ends up after Knot A Pucking Fan, and what happened to Nova's Alpha's sister. This book wraps up some loose ends, opens up even more and tangles knots into ones still left dangling. It will break your heart, stomp on it, leave you to heal just long enough you think maybe this isn't going so bad only to leave you in yet another 'What?!?!?!' situation. Be prepared. Bring tissues. Maybe avoid the snacks for a bit. And Don't throw your reader. You've been warned.

Someone gave this a one star because they said that there wasn’t a content warning that stated that this had MM however, they’ve also restricted their comments so no one can point out that actually it did tell you that… You’re just mad that you had to read that guys f*ck each other…
“There is also MMMMF in this story. Everyone is together, as is often the case in my books. You will also see silver foxes in this book and a large age gap.” - literally copied from inside the book. I don’t know about anybody else, but this clearly tells me that the guys are together.

Anyway… Onto my own review. I really enjoyed this one and I was looking forward to it because I had read Troy story and what happened to him in the interconnected series. And I really do enjoy the darker hockey romances. So very happy to see his character finally get his happy ending. There were a few times and I was like oh my gosh can the story be over. I do think there was a few times. We’re almost felt like you jumped the shark and yet it all just worked really well. This is definitely a dark story, but it’s what I was expecting.

If you’re like me, you remember intensely disliking and really not understanding Alisa from the previous books she has had a side role in. She did things that turned my stomach. Little did we know, we barely scratched the surface of this Omega. I went into this book thinking it would be a book about redemption and forgiveness for her past sins. It isn’t. Not really. For me, it’s a book about finding peace at the crossroads of who you were and who you are now. After all, we’d all be haunted forever by the actions we’re willing to take to survive, but maybe we shouldn’t be judged by them. Alisa is a perfectly imperfect FMC who knows how to survive, but might be taught how to thrive too.

This is a very dark OV read. This pack goes THROUGH IT and IT starts on page 1. Please read the trigger warnings. If you’re going to ride this spicy roller coaster of violence and sensuality, then strap in and keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times. Jenn Bullard pulled no punches with this one, and you’re in for a wild time.

Buckle up kids, Jenns taking us on a rollercoaster of hurt, healing, and spice!

It's safe to say that we have been waiting for Alisas story since she was mentioned in Lars and Caleb's story, whispered about around the Minneapolis mafia, and even got a peep of her in Savannah and now she's here!

Pack Mayor finds Alisa in a situation that can be triggering to some people so if you have triggers, read that list! This poor girl, you may remember her through some stories of the Slick Dreams days, but we all knew there was so much more to this characters story than meets the eye. And you know it was gruesome!

Pack Mayor is finally getting their story and a chance at happiness, but they are tested like hell and pulled into many directions before that can be achieved! And goddamn the older daddies really have my attention 🥵🥵🥵 loved seeing what they were working with!! And loved seeing this pack come together..who knew some silver foxes, a hockey player, and a woman with deep trauma but strong as hell would mash together so well?? ❤️

Jenn is well versed in taking you on one hellscape of a ride. One is never left emotionally unscathed from her unhinged imagination, but this one is on a whole new level. I went through every facet of emotion witnessing this story and it broke me in the most horrendous and beautiful of ways.

This is a story of resilience, patience, and violent retribution. And while not one of our characters is completely sane, there is such a beautiful and healthy bond rooted in tender consent, open communications, and unwavering acceptance. There so much trauma (past and present) that is endured; and yet, there is this connection in how meet each person where they are at.

If you love a hard one love story forged through visceral longing and violent retribution, this new release from Jenn is not one to be missed. Her dark and twisted muse weaves you on a spellbinding journey. While this a standalone in inner connected worlds, I do think reading her backlogs will add nuance and greater impact as many world collide in this newest release.

As always, please, please, please check content pwarnings as these works are not for the feint of heart.

Another great book in Jenn's forbiddenverse world, and where would we be without trying to get through the trauma together??

There are lots of things going on in this book and I urge you to check the trigger warnings before diving into this beauty.

I Love that it is finally Pack Mayors' turn to get their Omega and another Alpha to bring into the mix.
You can read this as a standalone but there are recurring characters from other books in this world that pop up.
Also as I found out from Jenn, Troy is a big side character from Knot a Pucking Fan, so read that one first to make it easier but it isn't needed. Troy has his own past which he struggles with, and Pack Mayor makes it safe for him to process it.

Oh and Avery... well she's still causing Havoc throughout this book!

It's hard to write a review without giving anything away, other than I really enjoyed reading this installment of the world and I can't wait to see where Jenn takes us next!

Jenn has done it again!

This was such a gripping read! I really enjoyed this book! Being able to read about a male character SA and how he’s trying to cope with the fact that someone stripped him of consent was SOMETHING! It was great to see Troy’s pack he delicately patient and understanding while’s he’s navigating his own trauma. Alisa navigating her own guilt and realizing that everything that happened was only for her own survival will being held against her will! This book navigated through grief, trauma, depressing thoughts, touch aversion, and guilt. I feel it tackled it really well! I cannot wait for the next book! I loved the ending where Alisa has her baby! Also Cassidy being overhearing was kinda getting on my nerves a little bit but i knew she’s trying to make up how she treated her at first! Overall every character in this book has great development and everyone in the pack had awesome chemistry! I loved every minute of this read!

Dark with a happy ending

This is a great book but for the love of all things holy, check the triggers! Bullard isn't messing around with the list. If anything on that list is a line in the sand, go on to the next read.

Otherwise, I found this book the be very enjoyable. I love that this is a complete well fleshed out story. The rough start isn't glossed over and will leave you absolutely gutted. When we finally get to the romance part it is beautiful. I love that everyone loves oneanother and the tension is coming from outside the pack. I love that the female omega wast the only one going through it.

Even though this book is some 600 pages the story felt fast pased. None of the parts felt unnecessary. The entire book felt finished. A good amount of spice. I didn't leave this book wondering how this pack fell in love or if they would have a real HEA. They absolutely do have a HEA by the way.

Magnificent, phenomenal, heartbreaking and a must read. Probably the best way to shortly describe how I feel about this book.

As you know, this is a Jenn Bullard book, so check your triggers and take care of yourself—you matter!

Our FMC isn’t new, we’ve met her before, and I hated her the first time we encountered her. Going into this book, I was conflicted, knowing she would be the FMC I wasn’t sure I would be able to root for her. Jenn destroyed that doubt by the end of the first few pages. I was invested, sympathetic and heartbroken for her.
Our MMCs aren’t new either, though unlike the FMC, they were always on my good side, I’ve always been desperate for their HEA.

This is a standalone but it’s also full of Easter eggs that you’re going to appreciate the most if you’ve read her previous books, however, new or old reader, you won’t be disappointed!

Wowza! What a fantastic read! 🤩

I absolutely love this series because all the books are interconnected in some way while still focusing on a single pack and the struggles they face as they work toward their HEA… for now! ❤️

Alisa is amazing! As much as I wanted to dislike her because of her previous appearances in the other stories, I just couldn’t. Once you learn about her past and everything she’s been through, you can’t help but understand her and feel for her.

And Pack Mayor… absolutely amazing! I’m so glad they finally got their time in the spotlight. They’re always behind the scenes, helping everyone else, so seeing their story unfold and watching them get their own HEA was everything. 🥰

Another fantastic addition to the series! I can’t wait to see where the story takes us next! ❤️

A Little Pucking Broken is the fifth book in the Forbiddenverse series written by Jenn Bullard.

💜 omegaverse
💜 healing from the past
💜 hockey
💜 age gap
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶spicy spice

Alisa has been through so much since she was fourteen. Life has not been easy. Someone took her from her room in the middle of the night and her life has never been the same since. She does what she has to do in order to lessen her punishments and rough treatments. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Will she ever be able to escape from this life? Will she be saved? Or will she have to save herself?

This was a good addition to this series and to this world as well. I love how this series is connected to another series and there are characters that can be seen in both. The main pack in this book is in several other books. It was nice to read a book focusing on them and their needs and wants. I really enjoyed this book and how everything came together in the end.

Jenn Bullard writes books that just connect. She is a phenomenal author and a must read for me, always! A Little Pucking Broken was another spectacular book in a long line of sensational, powerhouse collection.

I was so happy to hear that Alisa was getting her own story. We have seen her in a couple other books and she really didn’t leave the best impression. So going into this book, she definitely started at a disadvantage. That did quickly change though. Once we heard more of her story, and how her history shaped her, a lot of things became clear.

Troy was another wonderful surprise. He was just a superhero survivor. His story was so sad. I loved that Easton, Silas and Lyle didn’t give up on him. All of them were such great Alphas! Their jagged edges fit with Alisa’s jagged edges perfectly! I loved the way this story crossed with others! Amazing series!!

Omegaverse
MMMMF
Dark romance
Age gap
Hockey
Touch starved omega

With all of Jenn’s books always read the triggers before reading.

Alisa was taken from her bed at 14. Seven years later, she’s sold off to numerous people as a slave. She’s been one of Slick Dreams’ omegas for the past 6months.
Months later, she’s left homeless and living in the streets. She’s picked up by alphas who want her for one thing … to use her as their plaything. She runs away and end up in a warehouse owned by Pack Major - Lyle, Silas & Easton.

Troy is an alpha and has trust issues. His ex-wife is causing issues and demanding money. He’s an ice hockey player.

Caleb and Lars - Alisa’s brothers - have been looking for Alisa for years.

A HEA ending. Love anything that Jenn writes. Looking forward to more from these characters.

This is a Jenn Bullard written masterpiece. Check your triggers before reading.

I don't think there is adequate words to say how much I enjoyed this one. Although there are some slippery slugs I need to see squished already! At this point there is going to be so many people wanting their turn, they need to do it carousel style. Lol.

Alisa and Troy stole my heart. I not only loved seeing how strong they were but cheered for them when they found ways that worked for them to get through stuff. And who cares what others think!

Pack Mayor couldn't have been more perfect for them! After being there for everyone else, they finally get their HEA.

I'm really, really hoping what a certain person said isn't true. Please say its not true!!

Little Pucking Broken wrecked me in the best way. Alisa has been through every nightmare imaginable, and instead of making her change or “fit in,” her pack, Lyle, Silas, Easton, and Troy, basically says screw the world, we’ll adjust to you. That’s what made the whole thing hit so hard. They let her heal at her own pace, no pressure, no expectations, just actual support. Troy’s trauma adds even more weight, and watching both of them find something safe for the first time was honestly the best part. It’s dark, emotional, and messy in all the best ways, and Jenn Bullard does it again. And yes, Avery shows up causing all the damage she can like always, and I’m still screaming about how she’s somehow still alive.

This is a great read, with a lot of triggers and trauma.
One thing that Jenn does really well is make everything seem real. I get into the characters, sympathise, feel for them and root for them to succeed.
Alisa has been through the wringer. From being kidnapped, abused and kidnapped some more, I don’t know how she stayed sane. I love the rollercoaster of her getting revenge and her pack giving her the backing and belief, that she can choose how it happens, and how involved she wants to be. I always love it when a character that has previously had their freedom taken from them finds a way to be liberated, and continually finds their inner strength throughout the story.
This is another great absorbing read.

BROKEN

Jenn Bullard has delivered a story that absolutely had me invested in every chapter, every page turn and every nuance from these amazing characters. Pack Mayor has always intrigued me with their interactions with previous Forbiddenverse characters and I am so happy to read their story. It was in an in-depth, deep dive into the human psyche that makes you question humanity and the impact another persons actions can have and the scars that can leave behind. I loved the strength, resilience and determination from all the characters, the overwhelming love and protection a found family can have on the outcome is beautifully written in this story. This Forbiddenverse continues to grow and develop and I cannot wait for more, 5 stars broken!

This book is part of the Forbiddenverse. There are five books in this series and each book can be read as a standalone. I have read four of these books so far and they are amazing. If you are a fan of dark, traumatic and unhinged reads, you will love Jenn Bullard’s books!! Fall into the Jenn-verse and worship the Pixie!!
This story just about unalived me…It is poignant, heartbreaking, beautiful and steamy. I loved the FMC and the MMCs. I also loved “seeing” many familiar faces throughout the book. The unhinged antics of these characters bring pettiness to a whole nother level!! Just when I think you can no longer surprise me, here comes a slap to my nether regions!!! (TMI, I know!) Thank you, Jenn Bullard, your creativity knows no bounds!
