As soon as I read the blurb for this book, I knew I had to read it!
Juliet is approached by a woman, Carolyn, at the coffee shop she works in. Eerily enough, they could pass off as identical twins. Carolyn offers Juliet a unique job, one that could literally turn her life around. The job itself? She wants Juliet to impersonate her for the next three months in exchange for $200k.
Even though Juliet has been pre warned about the current family dynamics in the Bessant household, she definitely wasn't prepared for animosity from them. Juliet soon comes to realise that Carolyn never made an effort with her family and wants to rectify it. However, this was always meant to be temporary but Juliet can't help but fall in love with Carolyn's family... Especially when it comes to her husband, Blake.... 👀
Juliet was such an adoring character who couldn't help but charm everyone she met. Blake automatically senses something is off with her, but can't quite put his finger on it. I loved how he suddenly became infatuated with 'his wife', and was falling for her all over again. Juliet and Blake's connection was instantaneous, electrical and oh so hot! The yearning and angst between them? 😮💨 My goodness! I was also anticipating the time when all the secrets came unravelling (this surely kept me on the edge of my seat) and when it did... You sure bet I didn't see that ending coming!
Although this book sadly isn't one of the best I've read from Georgia, I still found this book highly entertaining to read.

Once I started The Imposter & I, I just kept going and didn’t want to stop. I got pulled in so quickly, but that happens with Georgia Le Carre's stories.
Georgia Le Carre is one of my favorite authors, love her stories, so I had a feeling I’d enjoy this—and it definitely didn’t disappoint. She really knows how to pull you in, and this had that intense, addictive energy right from the start. The tension and mystery kept me guessing, while the emotional connection made it even harder to put down.
The chemistry between the characters was strong and full of that push-and-pull that keeps you hooked. Their dynamic was emotional, a little messy, and just really engaging to follow. I loved how everything unfolded and how their relationship developed along the way, they had off the charts heat.
The writing flowed so easily, and before I knew it, I had read way more than I planned. It’s one of those books where you sit down for a bit and suddenly you’re halfway through without even noticing.
I also liked that nothing felt too predictable—there were always little twists and moments that kept my attention. It had that perfect mix of drama, tension, and connection that makes a story hard to put down.
This was a great story, it has that page-turner feel that just pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I really enjoyed it. Georgia Le Carre did a great job with this one. I'd suggest reading it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars!

The Imposter & I is an amazingly well-written story. It was original and I couldn't put it down.
Juliet works in a coffee shop. She is barely making it when a woman, Carolyn, comes in and offers her a large sum of money to trade places with her. There are a few differences in their bodies so Juliet agrees to look like the woman and live her life for a few months. The woman is married to Blake and has a young step-daughter. She has a rich lifestyle.
When Juliet becomes Carolyn she goes to the home and assumes Carolyn's life. Juliet soon discovers there are things that Carolyn did not reveal to her. Carolyn is not well-liked by her family. She doesn't get along with her mother-in-law. She and Blake have a distant relationship. Juliet's true personality begins to come out because she is such a good person. The staff treats her differently after that. Blake notices the changes and becomes more attracted to her.
I loved how Juliet was such a good person. She was a great character and loved family. I loved the chemistry she had with Blake. Their story is filled with suspense and twists. You don't want to miss this one. Highly recommended. I look forward to more from this very talented author.

This book was exactly my type of contemporary romance. I mean WOW!!! I can’t recommend it enough! The whole wife impersonation scheme pulled me in instantly, but it was the tension, the secrets, and that feeling that everything could fall apart at any second that kept me on edge.
Juliet stepping into a life that isn’t hers, trying not to mess up while slowly getting attached… it was so intense to read. And Blake: the catch… total alpha… the sex appeal!!! From the very first moment they meet, you can feel the sparks, the tension, the buildup… and when it finally explodes? I was blushing. Those scenes were hot, steamy, erotic, and so vividly written. I also loved the family aspect; it added warmth to the story, and seeing how his mom, his daughter, and even the staff reacted to the change in “Carolyn” and slowly embraced her made everything feel deeper and more emotional. The slow burn, the emotions, the spice… everything was perfect for me, and that constant fear of the truth coming out, right when things started to get good, had me stressed the entire time. My heart was racing, just waiting for everything to unravel. This gave me everything I love in a romance. 5 stars, no question!

You'll love Juliet(Carolyn) and Blake's story. Wow, what a cute story that was hard to put down. Juliet, who is a barista, is overwhelmed when she is offered a large sum of money to be Carolyn's doppleganger for three months. What could go wrong? Three months of black card shopping, fine dining and living a life of luxury. Plus there was no requirement to sleep with Blake. The story is told from a dual point of view, which is nice. A slow burn romance and it was amazing how much everyone liked the "new" Carolyn. What happens when the three months are up and Carolyn wants to come home? This book was wild. Talk an about an original story. Carolyn approaches Juliet at her job one day and asks her to take her place for three months. For a sum on money she couldn’t deny. They looked practically identical. So she did. What Carolyn failed to mention, was that she didn’t get along with her family, and her and her husband basically just tolerated one another. To keep this short. Juliet was such a wonderful person, the family came around to “Carolyn” seeing another side of her. As did the staff and Blake. He fell in love with his “wife” all over again.
The twists and turns were wild. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I absolutely loved this story! It was amazing. A definite must read.

One day a well-dressed woman, Carolyn, enters the coffee shop at closing time and makes Juliet an offer she cannot possibly refuse, $200,000 to impersonate her for 3 months. Juliet notices that under Carolyn's flawless makeup she looks just like her. Carolyn claims she needs a break from her workaholic husband, step-daughter and mother-in-law. Juliet desperately needs the money and agrees.
Juliet is kind-hearted, gentle and compassionate, everything Carolyn is not. This well-written, page-turning story took me on a suspenseful journey filled with twists and turns I never saw coming. Another great read from Georgia Le Carre.

Juliet (AKA Carolyn) and Blake, a sometimes complicated story of an awful woman who ‘employs’ Juliet to impersonate her ie be Blake’s wife. No more on the guts of the storyline so as to not give spoilers.
This is an emotional tale, involving the main couple, his young daughter and his mother. Juliet, being herself manages to get the household to like her.
Both Juliet and Blake are likeable, he in particular comes across as a really good bloke.
I also liked Juliet’s best friend Emma who was great at calming her down.
Medium spice level, good conversation and a romantic HEA epilogue (or two).

When she agrees a new path begins for her because Carolyn was a villain who was not liked by the people she is infiltrating. When she goes off script flaws show having Blake, his mother and daughter seeing her true self and when Carolyn's true reason for having Juliet to impersonate her comes to light lives become endangered. This story is filled with drama that had me all caught up in the main characters from start to finish.

Enough intrigue to hold your interest, and a whole lot of spine tingling intense moments that makes you shiver & hotly bothered. 😉 The love the story of Blake & Juliet/Carolyn, the heat and attraction that constantly sizzle & crackles whenever they're near each other is scorching hot! I find it so sweet that especial endearing moments between Juliet/Carolyn and her sweet stepdaughter, Freya, made this story even more beautiful. I hope Ms. LeCarre writes more of love story like this. Well done, Georgia! 👏 ❤️

This story is brilliantly well-written. This is Juliet (imposter) Blake (Husband) and Carolyn (wife) story. This begins when Juliet who works in a coffee shop, meets, Carolyn, who offers her a large sum of money to trade places with her for 3 months. They look similar so Juliet agrees. But soon Juliet discovers that all has not been revealed! Carolyn was not particularly liked within the family, can Juliet last the distance? Wil her true personality shine through? Will she be discovered as an imposter? All this will be revealed once you read! Brilliant book!!!.

I am ALWAYS excited to read a romance book by Georgia not just because I find her to be a talented author, but because I absolutely LOVE reading her books. There is literally no words I have to describe how unbelievably amazing this book was to read. So, instead of me trying to explain everything I will just tell you that you need to read this book because OMG the romance and suspense alone is enough to have you hooked.

Loved this book. Juliet works at a coffee shop when a woman looking like her comes in and offers her a deal she can't turn down, blake never liked his wife but when a woman steps into his home looking like his wife but different in some was what will he do?.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a definite page turner and has you hooked from the very start. I had to stay up late reading so I could see what was going to happen next. Well worth the time spent reading this book. I recommend!.

This is an outstanding story. Best book I’ve read this month. Georgia, your storyline is exceptional, you are a great writer. This book is exciting, tantalizing, page turning and mind blowing.
