Halo has always been known for it's great world building and background lore. When control of the franchise was changed over from Bungie to 343 Industries many were worried. For me, I think 343 has done a great job. I must admit that I liked the Bungie era Halo games more but 4 and 5 from 343 were quite good as well. This book shows the care with which they treat the franchise. There is lots of great art of the environments, vehicles, weapons, and characters. A lot of it has been changed enough for 343 to put their own mark on it while staying true to the Halo feel. Now if only Halo 5 hadn't ended on a cliffhanger that I'll have to wait 2 - 3 years to see resolved.
Breathtaking detail and amazing art pieces - Sparth really is the spirit of Halo. Here's hoping one day translating concept art to the digital realm is as easy as panting these contents. Would have loved to see the addition of some storyboards to the art book.
