The Impossible Alibi

Some crimes defy logic. Some truths destroy everything.
When ambitious attorney Lena Caldwell receives a cryptic message linking her late mother to an unsolved murder, she’s forced to confront the case that shattered her family—and her sanity. The crime was every suspect had an alibi, every timeline airtight. Yet the victim—Leo Hale’s sister—still ended up dead.
Leo, brilliant and unsettlingly calm, claims he’s found new evidence. He wants Lena’s help. She wants answers. Neither trusts the other.
As the two dig deeper into a city ruled by power, secrets, and obsession, their investigation spirals into paranoia—surveillance devices appear in Lena’s home, eyewitnesses vanish, and time itself seems manipulated. Someone is watching. Someone is rewriting history. And someone knows Lena is getting too close.
Is she losing her grip on reality… or uncovering a truth the powerful will kill to protect?
Because the murder wasn’t a mistake.
It was a warning.
And the night Lena finally understands the timeline is the night everything will change.

So when Leo and Lena investigate they are stumped because nobody seems to remember when they saw Mila and Maria last and the timelines seem inaccurate. What does this powerful organisation hope to achieve? Can Leo and Lena stop them from manipulating people and their memories? A riveting page turner which highlights the extent to which power hungry people will go to in order to fulfil their evil aspirations.

Crimes aren't logical and truth can destroy instead of setting you free. Attorney Lena receives a cryptic message supposedly linking her mom to an unsolved murder. Leo's sister was murdered but this case shattered Lena's family. Leo claims he has new evidence and needs Lena's help. While neither trusts the other, they know they need to work together. As they dig into the case again, someone has taken notice and is not pleased. Lena's house is suddenly filled with surveillance devices, eyewitnesses have vanished, and things aren't adding up. Can the truth be discovered before Lena's life is taken from her? Thrilling chase to the finish to see who the real villain is. Sent chills down my spine!.

There's some mighty good and unexpected twists in this book that keeps the reader's attention page after page looking for clues to the puzzle of whom keeps playing with time and why? I was definitely caught up in the spiders web of this story looking for the holes that would solve the timeline issue and maybe Lena's sanity.

The plot of this book was unlike anything I've read before. What an interesting concept! This book is a page turner and the two main characters are very likeable. I liked that the ending was kind of open ended and left room for a sequel.
