The Brewster triplets from Revenge of the Flower Girls meet The Best Christmas Pageant Ever , in a new, sweetly hilarious holiday story from Jennifer Ziegler! The Brewster triplets, Dawn, Darby, and Delaney, usually love Christmas. Decorations, singing carols, seeing Aunt Jane and their favorite neighbors, hot cocoa, and presents--what could be better? But this year nothing is going right, starting with their local Christmas pageant. They practiced looking wise and stroking fake beards so they could play the three Wise People, but what did they get cast as? Angels - and just because they're girls! Totally not fair. And things are going from bad to worse. No Aunt Jane, no megaphone, no Mom or Lily because of the snow--and someone is stealing decorations (and baked goods!) from their neighbors' houses. The girls don't want this to be the worst Christmas ever, but can they fix the pageant, solve the mystery, find their dad a new couch (it's a long story), and recover their holiday cheer?Three times the angels means three times the festivities in this hilarious story from Jennifer Ziegler.
Revenge of the Christmas Angels is about the Brewster Triplets such as Dean,Darby and Delaney. Al three love christmas the decorations the carols and seeing there Aunt Jane. They also the like when they go to there neighbors house and have there home made hot coco and you can't forget the presents. Although this year it dint go as planed starting with the christmas pageant. They wanted to be the three wise men but instead they got angels. And now things are going from bad to worse there moms flight is delayed they can't visit there aunt Jane because of the snow and people robed there neighbors hose and took all the decorations. But at the end they find a way to get there mom and sole the history of the stollen decorations.
I would recommend this book to fifth graders because it is not that challenging for the sixth grades but it might be good for the fifth or even the forth grades. I also recommend it to people that like A to Z mysteries books because this book is pretty similar.
This author has a great voice for middle grade. I liked seeing how Darby, Dawn and Delaney think about things. I really liked the message too. A cute read.
This was a light and fun Christmas read! I enjoyed reading this book and it got me into the Christmas spirit. Each of the girls had very distinct personalities, though I did get confused every once in a while due to the switching perspectives. I liked reading about this interesting triplet dynamic. This is intended for a younger audience, so it was not super complex and it didn't really do anything surprising. I knew what I was getting into when I started reading, so I didn't set super high expectations. I recommend this book, especially for a younger audience, as a fun Christmas read!
Ok, all of the girls are 11? Seems like they act very, very childish for their age. I kind of felt overwhelmed while reading this book, since so much stuff was happening at once. Someone stealing things, the church pageant, snowstorm, ghosts, AHH! Too much! Overall though, it's a pretty good book. I liked how the characters showed the readers that women and girls can do the same things that men and boys can.
I got annoyed with like half of the characters and their actions. Like they had valid points quite often but just didnt execute it close to anything good. Then they go on to do it in the dumbest way possible. And the whole President thing sucks. They are kids for crying out loud.
That being said my 10 - 13 year old cousins really enjoyed this book sooo....
Fun book with twists and turns. I like how it highlights the sense of community that the triplets have. And, for being a Christmas-y book, that part wasn't overdone. I read a book by the author that inspired me to read everything else by her.
This book really got me in the Christmas spirit I love how close the girls are with there neighbours and I love that there big sisters boyfriend proposed to her on Christmas Day and I loved that the girls got to be the wise people like they wanted to be and Lucas isn’t that bad after all

245 pages. Boring book. There is discussion of a high school couple and has lots of boyfriend/girlfriend content. After two chapters I am so bored. Skip this one. Not recommended.
This was a great book. I like how it explains multiple problems and has exciting events along the way, and at the end, though it could have had more of a thrill.
This was a very sweet book! There was suspense and some humor too! I loved the mystery as well! I also loved how everything turned out! And the ending was very nice!
In this sequel to Revenge of the Flower Girls, triplets Dawn, Darby, and Delaney Brewster are having a disappointing Christmas season. First, they are told by the woman in charge of their church Christmas pageant that because they are girls, they cannot play the roles of the three wise men and must instead play angels. Then their neighbors, The Neighbors, lose their prized Santa Claus candy dish to a thief. On top of that, the weather is bad in Boston, where their mom and sister Lily are visiting graduate schools, and it looks like they might be stranded there for the holiday. As the girls work to solve the mystery of the missing candy dish, and try to choose an appropriate gift for their mother, they also do their best not to lose hope that Christmas will still be a festive and magical day.
Like the first book, this story is also told by all three of the girls in alternating chapters. Though there are greater attempts in the text to differentiate the girls from each other - Dawn wants to be president of the United States, Delaney wants to be speaker of the house, and Darby wants to be chief justice, for example - their voices are still largely indistinguishable. Because their names are also so similar, it is very difficult to keep the three personalities straight, and without referring back to the start of each chapter, it can be hard to remember who is speaking.
The story itself is much more believable in this sequel. The girls' meddling in their sister's wedding seemed far-fetched and beyond their capabilities, but trying to solve a local mystery and fighting against perceived injustice in the church pageant's casting are much more likely activities for eleven-year-old girls. The girls' father also comes across as very sympathetic in this story, and both parents, though divorced from each other, are warm, caring people who get along amicably without a lot of dramatic fighting, which is a nice change of pace from the typical depiction of bitterly divorced parents.
This is a fun holiday-themed read. It's not as well-written as The Best Christmas Pageant Ever or as clever as The True Story of Christmas by Anne Fine, but it's still a great way to get into the holiday spirit over Christmas break. The girls' spirited personalities, strong vocabularies, and sharp intellects are delightful, and the lighthearted subject matter is perfect for a holiday escape. Recommended for ages 8 to 12.
The Brewster triplets made me laugh. That they wanted to be wise men was fantastic and I was rooting for them the whole time. They plotted and planned and worked towards their goals even when they seemed nearly impossible.
This book worked much better for me than the first one. I had trouble keeping the triplets straight in Revenge of the Flower Girls, but that became easier in this second book. I also appreciated that there were several plot lines, but this time none of them seemed quite so serious as the prevention of a marriage. Added together though, they provided just the right amount of tension.
The girls keep getting themselves into trouble, but they also manage to help each other back out of it. I had to giggle as they fell in and out of scrapes throughout the book. The girls use both their wits and courage to solve their problems and it was a fun time watching it all unfold. This is a nice light realistic middle grade novel that is sure to be a hit especially around the holidays.
Revenge of the Angels is the Best Christmas Pageant Ever meets Who Stole the Twelve Days of Christmas with a dash of Madeleine L'Engle's Austin Family's Christmas spirit. The story takes place in Johnson City and Ziegler's writing captures the easy central Texas rhythm. The first book about the Brewster triplets, Revenge of the Flower Girls, is about the three sisters breaking up a wedding and focuses on their college age sister's love story. The Revenge of the Angels is totally focused on the triplets who don't want to be the sweet angels in the annual Christmas pageant. Instead they want to be the Wise People and set out to make that happen. A well written middle grade novel with light kid appealing humor that also has a neighborhood Christmas mystery.
In this sequel to Revenge of the Flower Girls, Dawn, Darby, and Delaney are really disappointed with the way Christmas is turning out. First, they were cast as angels instead of the Three Wise Men (Wise People?) like they had hoped for. Then their older sister is off to look at library schools with their mom for the days leading up to Christmas. Finally, someone is stealing Christmas decorations in the neighborhood. Putting their three brains together, they hope to solve all of these problems and save Christmas before it is too late. Told in alternating voices of each of the triplets like the first book. Recommended for grades 3 & up.
This was a good book. I guess I would recommend it since it is I could say the second book of Revenge of the bridesmaids. If you wanna read this I recommend you read the first one cause this one has some spoilers and you need to understand the book, and the first one has MUCH more action than the first but still good. :)
As advertised - instead of the Herdmans, we have the Brewster triplets with their own spin on the traditional holiday presentation. Lots of funny bits. Wish I had read their first adventure to better understand the older sister's story arc.
The triplets are at it again, and Jennifer Ziegler doesn't let us down, bringing another fantastic read. Both of the "revenge" books are wonderful. I hope readers will be blessed with many more.
I liked this book because it was about how the triplets got the part of angels in the Christmas pagent. they wanted to be the 3 wise men. They support womens rights. Also their neighbors decoration got stolen. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes funny and mystery books.
