Emily inherits her grandmother's necklace, which opens a portal into the world of Elvendale, where she meets four elves (each embodying the elements of fire, earth, water, and wind). Together, they must find the keys that will open the portal so that Emily can return home.

Confession: I only read this because I needed a "Q" title for an alphabet challenge. This seemed obscure, but I was pleasantly surprised. Well-written, if a bit predictable. An enjoyable lower middle grade chapter book.

It was such a fast read but was so enjoyable , entertaining and exciting! I wasn't able to put the book down that's why I finished it already in one sitting/reading. The story is definitely meant for kids but can also be enjoyed by people who are young at heart. I really enjoyed it and would love to read more something like this since it was direct to the point unlike other stories that has a lot of back stories and has so many unecessary chapters. I highly recommended this, 100%.

- Gnome loves the Lego Elves sets, and she was pretty excited to read this with me. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was a lot better than I was expecting.

- I liked the characters. They were fun, and Gnome liked them a lot too. I like how each elf represented a different element.

- The story was good. It was a fun little adventure.

- I liked reading about some of the Lego sets we already own. It was fun to see what scene they belonged to and the back story.

It is children's literature for sure. So don't expect some epic novel. But I kind of love that Lego has actually written a book to go with the lego sets! My daughter was already collecting these Lego sets when we discovered that there was a book. We saw it at our school book fair and she bought it with her own money! It is a great way to get kids to read. Especially at this age, I am a fan of anything encourages kids to read and discover the excitement and adventures of books!

After the passing of her Grandmother, Emily Jones is accidentally and magically whisked away to the land of Elvendale. Once there she finds she has no way back! She befriends a group of elves who must work together to find the secret keys that will open a mythical portal back to Emily's world. A fun adventurous story of friendship, family and love.

My 6 (almost 7) year old daughter was given this book along with lots of Lego Elves sets for Christmas and she devoured it. The five star rating comes from her. We have built the lego sets and she now acts out the story with the lego. The book is super magical and gives good background to the characters and scenery to get her imagination flowing. We have already pre-ordered book #2 and can't wait to read about what adventures Emily Jones gets up to in Elvendale next.

This book is obviously for younger readers and was extremely predictable because it's for readers younger than me, but it was nice to read something easy yet enjoyable.

This book is a great pairing to all the Lego sets out there. The chapter book was enjoyable by myself and my 6 year old. She can't wait to read the sequels to hear more about the dragons and Pegasi.

I read this to my five year old and she enjoyed it. Some of the wording was a bit awkward to read out loud, but the story was pretty cute. As many mentioned it's for younger readers. We would read a chapter and go over what had happened, so it's great for reading comprehension. I'll probably pick up more Lego Elves books in the future for her since this is a great way to introduce her to the fantasy genre.
