couldve been better

This one was ok. I enjoyed most of the book, but there were a couple things that ruined it for me.

1. Its never really explained how a lawyer with open ties to a criminal organization, the bratva, could be confirmed into the state supreme court Even if you could bribe individual politicians, the opposing political party would have a field day lambasting anyone who would support a nominee with connections to a known criminal organization. And the media would be running exposes every single day. This was just too glaring a plot hole and it was never plugged

2. Unfaithful hero. The hero has known the heroine since her sister married into his family a few years ago. This doesn’t stop the hero from going and sliming around with other women. Instead of having a hero who becomes obsessed with the heroine from the second he sees her, he can go and fuck other women without a qualm.

Apparently writing a celibate, faithful hero who is too obsessed over the heroine, where he doesnt even want to look at another woman, much less touch her is too unbelievable for this author.

Putting a Bratva member as supreme court justice? Totally believable. Making him faithful and have the ability to keep his dick out of other women? Too outlandish

Even with the goofiness of the supreme court nomination, I would have given this story 5 stars if the hero had had eyes only for the heroine since the second he met her, even if he didnt understand himself or why. But his unfaithfulness and his lack of interest in the heroine was just too gross to feel any swoon for this one.

The writing was ok. There was a lot of filler in the story that couldve been cut out to make the story leaner and smoother. The smexy bits were steamy and well-written.

There are some pretty descriptive scenes of gore and murder by the hero and those were cool. He brings the fury of a demon onto some real scumbags.

Not safe. Hero meets heroine but continues to fuck other women until he needs a wife. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No ow/om after they get together. No abuse between MCs. Heroine is beaten up by hero’s enemies. HEA with epilogue.

✅forced marriage
✅cold MMC
✅feisty MFC
✅Virgin MFC/Manwh0re with pearled 🍆
✅age gap (h is 20/H is 32)
✅Betrayal/barely no grovel
✅kidnapped by the villain
✅pregnancy

I usually love an aloof, cold, intimidating, and emotionally unavailable MMC, but it just didn't work for me here.

Andrey wasn't much of a manwhore, but we still got the classic "he's been celibate for two months" and "women never say no to him" trope. 🙄 We were constantly *told* he was this terrifying, emotionless man, but I never really *felt* it.
He doesn’t like being touched but his brother, father and Iris keep touching him and he was ok with it… This trop was not handle well.

Iris was an okay heroine, but preferred her in the previous books, where she came across as far more mischievous and entertaining.

Can someone please explain why so many female authors struggle to write a proper grovel? Offering to change diapers and giving the heroine orgasms is not a grovel!!

I also think this author shines more with shorter stories. This book was about 200 pages too long. The whole judiciary system and legal storyline dragged on and, honestly, bored me.

He built an empire on control until one reckless woman unraveled him.

Andrey is one of the most feared men in the Bratva, and he's days away from becoming a New York State Supreme Court Justice. When Iris lands behind bars after one reckless mistake, he offers a bargain no sane person would accept. Marry him, and he makes the charges disappear.

Iris refuses to be intimidated by the cold, calculating man who calls himself her husband. She pushes against his rules, only to discover that beneath his ruthless control is a man whose fierce protection slowly earns the trust she never meant to give.

As corrupt judges, rival criminal organizations, and old enemies close in, their arranged marriage becomes more than a calculated bargain. Every threat strips away another layer of mistrust until obsession, vulnerability, and desire become impossible to separate.

Power has always been Andrey's greatest weapon, but loving Iris demands something more dangerous. Together they learn that trust is earned, loyalty is chosen, and some vows only become real after they're tested. Desire becomes its own language between them, exposing needs neither can control, deny, or safely ignore.

Iris meets Andrey's control with defiance, but gradually learns to trust his actions as much as his words. He enters the marriage believing it's another strategic move, yet she breaks through his restraint until loving her matters more than power. Their forced marriage becomes a devoted partnership shaped by vulnerability and intense intimacy.

An ultra-steamy, dark Bratva romance with forced marriage, age gap, power imbalance, corruption, and obsessive devotion. It's about a woman who refuses to surrender her spirit, a man who learns love demands more than possession, and two people who choose each other through danger and fear.

The Elevator Pitch: A ruthless Bratva strategist on the verge of becoming a Supreme Court Justice forces an impulsive young woman into marriage, convinced she'll be the final piece of his carefully controlled future. As corruption, betrayal, and violence close in from every side, the arrangement neither of them wanted transforms into a fierce bond that challenges everything they believe about power, trust, and devotion. Their greatest battle isn't winning the war around them, but deciding how much of themselves they're willing to surrender to love.

Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥 Ultra-Steamy / Erotic Romance

So Hot,So Emotional!

I love this story! Andrey is a straight forward guy, that hardly feels emotion except maybe when Iris is around. When Andrey is told he needs to get married,(it would look better when he is a judge) he takes in stride and he thinks about it,in the meantime Iris Monroe decides to take a side job without her twin sister Rose and it really lands her into hot water, since he is a attorney for the Morozov family and Iris and Rose are sister's of Violet his sister in law he is called in and after many hours of waiting she is tired and just wants to get out,she is listening at the charges that she is brought in on and realizes that some are trump up,she is desperate and she said she would do anything to make the Trump up charges go away,he says marry him,she is against it at first but realizes she could be facing a lot of prison time.So they have a quick wedding and now he has to prove to his men of his family and his Pakman why he married Iris.It starts off has a marriage of convenience, they are both set in their ways, she soon finds out he has a second job on the side and remembers him when he Rescue her year earlier, she is cracking his hard shell and he is helping her to feel life again and they both fine out that marriage isn't to bad. But one day she over hears Andrey on the phone and possible happiness has gone down the drain for the couple. There is aton of action in this story, greed is in the forefront, lies, just and death but love does come the picture for Andrey and Iris and even a double pather of little feet! They just prove don't give up on love and work hard and listen to each other and maybe Compromise little on each side . Worth a ton more stars for love, understanding, willing to fight for each other, not giving up when times get tough!

No matter what, you just have to love Andrey

For someone who doesn’t do emotions like everyone else, this man is unbelievable! He knows what he wants and goes after it no matter what. So when he’s told that he should marry, he decides Iris is perfect for him. Trumped up charges ensure that she does, in order to let her twin Rose marry for love. Yet it doesn’t take very long before they want more than just a marriage of convenience. On top of that, there’s those nasty pieces of humanity that need to be dealt with, especially after they go after Iris! Not a good idea, right? Well Andrey made sure that never happened again.

Over all. I love the Morozov family. They make you cry, laugh, cringe, and nod in support and understanding. I loved Andrey, even if he is a sociopath!

Would like to have more for the epilogue but it was cute enough to appease me.

Great book... Really loved Andrey and Iris

I had been looking forward to Andre's book, wondering how the author would handle Andre's demeanor. I'm happy to say I thought she handled it very well. She acknowledged it, but didn't go too far in either direction. Iris was perfect for Andrey, and I really loved how they came together and ended up with their happily ever after. I also enjoy having the other characters involved in each book. I think it adds a lot to the different stories. Really enjoyed this one....

I think Ms. Fraser is just getting better and better. I can't wait to read about Vadim.

ARC Review ‘Lord of Justice’.

Time for Iris and Andrey.
Andrey, the man who works the legal side of the family gains a high position, but he needs a wife to cement his status even more. Who better than feisty and sassy Iris to be by his side.

The storyline reads so easy, even making a certain subplot feel it tethers on non fiction going on in current times, which made the subplot even more exciting to read. Because ofcourse my brain goes there. Would this be the reason why people are pushing this too in RL? $$$?

Anywho, their chemistry is fun! The enemies to lovers trope, the physical attraction they have towards one another making their growth fun!
Their 🌶️? Gaaahh, scenes were written out so nicely it made me all giddy🤭🫣🤣
Another well made Morozov man ehem🔥

I love how the other characters continue to make their appearances throughout all the books which makes you remember which part they stem from, keeping it really interconnected.

Clapclap 5/5⭐️ loved it!!

OMG YES PLEASE!! UNPUTDOWNABLE!❤️🌶️🔥

Arianna oh my God I loved it so much. This is my favorite so far! Absolutely top notch. This book has it all if you love dark Mafia/Bratva romance you must read this series from chapter 1 in book 1 to the last page of book 5 it is spectacular. 5 stars 5 chilli peppers. The chemistry, the devotion, the danger, Bratva stuff was just enough not too much not too little and the work up to the love story was fantastic. The relationship between all the characters works so well. The humor was perfect. I can't wait for the next one. MUST READ!! Highly recommend you start with book 1 as they are connected.

love the feisty heroine

This was my first Arianna Fraser book and I will have to go back and read her backlist and the other books in this series. She writes with a fresh voice and I love the characterization of Iris —her very spunky heroine. Always a sucker for a sociopath with heart eyes for one girl only, Andrey was a treat too. Looking forward to the next in the series.

“Lord of Justice” is the fifth book in “The Bratva Lords Series.” This is a Dark Bratva Romance that has no cheating and a guaranteed happily ever after, even if you're not sure how Andrey is going to pull this off, what with him being all dark, brooding, and Gothic. But if you like cold men who melt like a birthday candle for their woman, Andrey is your new book boyfriend.

In just three months, Andrey Morozova will accept the nomination and sit on the bench of the highest court in the state, the New York State Supreme Court. A union between the Morozov Bratva and the New York State Supreme Court….A Morozov, from one of the most aggressive and significant Bratvas in the world, stepping foot on the bench of the most powerful judgeship in the state. The families main concern is his marital status….the want him to find a bride to sure up his nomination.

“….petals from the huge pot of flowering plants drift through the air, a little one landing on my shoulder. I look down on it, frowning. “So tiny. It's an iris blossom. In the motherland, they're considered good luck,” Father says.”

Enter Iris Monroe….her sister Violet is married to Roman Morozov, Vor to his brother Dimitri, the current Pakhan of the Morozov Bratva. Iris and her twin sister Rose are both very entertaining, but Iris is more reserved and Rose, more outgoing and flirtatious. Together, they are outrageous! When Iris decides to take a side job on her own, without Rose, she gets caught by the police and taken to jail. Enter Andrey Morozov, head legal counsel for Morozov Global….”wearing a tailored blue suit, fitting smoothly over his broad shoulders, a crisp white dress shirt, and he's gorgeous.” With all the trumped up charges adding up, Andrey gives her a condition for his help….”You're going to marry me."

"And by the authority vested in me by the laws of the state of New York, I now pronounce you legally married." She is now officially Iris Petunia Monroe Morozov, for better or for worse….

Prepare for a story full of twists, turns around every corner, forbidden love, loyalty and betrayal, power and control and sizzling heat. This is a story you won't be able to put down! The story is very fast paced and full of twists and turns! You have danger, betrayal, love, tears, death, power, action and passion. Is there a chance of a happily ever after for them? I’m very happily hooked on this series - looking forward to the next book.

“….Andrey abruptly lifts me up, face to face and kisses me. Such a kiss. A kiss that starts a fire racing through everything south of my waist and so good that it's an end unto itself. His warm mouth, the slight stubble on his jaw rasping against my cheek, his slick tongue sliding through my parted lips and exploring my mouth.”

Being a Mafia Romance story, it is dark in places, violent at times, passionate in places, full of secrets, loyalties tested and let’s not forget the heat between them. You will fall in love with Andrey and Iris, hoping that everything with work out for them….will even have a future together. There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! I know I was - just love these two! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

4.5 ⭐️ for Iris and Andrey, and my second favorite couple in the Morozov Bratva 🥰

This was so well done, I devoured it. I loved the gentle push pull between Andrey and Iris, the banter was spot on without any genuinely nasty hate (looking at you Nikandr).

I’ve read a few books recently with a diagnosed sociopathic MMC (not sure what’s up with my algorithm 🤷🏼‍♀️) but this was by far the most well done and authentic. Andrey’s sociopathy wasn’t touted as some niche personality trait that makes him cold and scary, but was simply a subtle fact about what makes him who he is. It was handled with care, and was slowly infused into his every day interactions in a seamless and quietly impactful way. He was less heartless, as so many authors make their MMCs, and more indifferent, confused by others’ reactions to him.

He was so likable, and Fraser never allowed his neurodivergence to creep into unrelatability or cruelty. He simply didn’t understand many nuances neurotypical people pick up on easily. His actions felt less calculating and manipulative (though they were that as well), and more simply a means to an end.

Watching him slowly fall for Iris and realize not only does she mean more to him than a business arrangement, but that he feels actual emotions towards her, and positive ones at that, was so satisfying. His unintentional romance was so swoon worthy (unintentional because he was simply speaking his truths, not trying to *be* romantic).

Iris was also a great FMC. Sassy at times, sarcastic, a bit of snark, but a really sweet heart and a pragmatic mind. She’s distraught at the prospect of marrying the cold Andrey, but quickly realizes there’s no other option and she can save her sister Rose in the deal. She’s determined to make the best of the situation, and throws herself into the marriage with a devotion and maturity that made me proud of her. She holds Andrey accountable while understanding his uniqueness, and they quickly become a great match.

The spice was 🥵🥵🥵 and Andrey’s little vigilante excursions were a great compliment to an already complex and multilayered character.

The betrayal in the third act was emotional and tough to read, but Fraser doesn’t let us suffer long. And as much as I detest third act angst, Andrey needed to realize his feelings in their true capacity, and learn the hard way that his actions impact others and it does matter to him. The action was well done and intense, and the grovel was perfect (I won’t spoil more but there is something Andrey offers that when I see it in grovels, it is a true sign of selflessness and a desire to make amends, no matter the personal cost. Well done Andrey 👏🏼 ).

The ending and epilogue were the perfect sweet ending, and the bonus epilogue was great. I already bought this one for my stash of mafia rereads to go along with Aleksey and Liria (fav couple).

⭐️⭐️⭐️,5

We already knew Andrey as the cold, almost robotic twin brother, and at the beginning of the book that impression was definitely reinforced. However, there was so much more to him beneath the surface, and it was clear that Iris got to see a completely different side of him. Even though he struggles to express and understand emotions, I couldn’t help but wonder if it was more of a form of autism rather than him actually being a sociopath, but who knows. Iris and Rose were so entertaining together and had a really unique dynamic. However, I didn’t really get the feeling that they were as close as they were supposed to be. They kept quite a few things from each other, which I found disappointing because it didn’t really fit the bond they seemed to have. Once the real reason behind the marriage was revealed, my reaction was basically, “Well… that makes sense,” and I just felt so sorry for Iris. Communication between the two of them was definitely lacking at times. For me, their relationship felt much more physical than emotional. It seemed to revolve primarily around lust rather than building a deep emotional connection. The story itself was exciting, but there were simply too many over the top, unrealistic intimate scenes for my taste. It just felt like too much. Overall, I had hoped for a little more from the story. It was definitely entertaining and kept me interested, but I felt like it was missing some of the emotional depth and development I was looking for.

Mafia romance with neurodivergent hero

Lord of Justice is a dark Mafia romance with a neuroatypical hero. Andrey is a brilliant and ruthless attorney and a fierce defender of women and children. His character is highlighted in the prologue when he goes vigilante on a serial rapist who has evaded prosecution. He's nominated for a judgeship and needs a wife to demonstrate stability. Iris is a wild child who gets in trouble with the law and needs Andrey's help. There's a coerced marriage between this age gap (12 years) couple.

There's more than one villain and plot in this book. As Andrey navigates the halls of justice and government, there's a lot of corruption. As always, Fraser keeps readers turning the pages.

Andrey is an interesting main character. He's a man who's uncomfortable with emotion and relies on analysis to understand interactions. He's definitely challenged by Iris and by his growing feelings for her.

This is a successful installation to the Bratva Lord Series with (again) a captivating dark romance with HEA ending.

The author always depicts the Bratva Lords with differing personalities which will leave you to remember every book of this series. Even the female protagonists has their own personalities.

The suspense and action filled pages is always on point. Plus their hot and steamy encounters are always a page turner. I always liked the illustration included of how the FL and ML met and its something to look forward too!

I recommend this book to readers who are looking for mafia series with good ML and FL story buildup. Not just boring kidnapping and the ML goes to save the FL all the time, but a different twist to everything.

Enjoy reading!.

There better be cupcakes!

As someone who has read all of her books this may be my favorite MMC! I didn't think you would be given this betrayal in the other books and even the author morning at the beginning. He once again perfectly shows that how you treat somebody can show more love than anything you say. Now for the FMC, I was prepared to roll my eyes and want to throw the book across the wall her character also with someone that I was not looking forward to giving the books before just didn't want a caddy college student that didn't have a brain other than let me flirt to get away with everything. She very quickly set up Iris's character in the first couple of chapters for you to realize that she is so much more then what meets the eye and into someone that I can respect.

I always love it when books that I have high hopes for because I love the author but not characters to surpass what I originally hoped for. This is why I look forward to all of her books

Another Bratva story for the win! Loved this book! I’m quite the Arianna Fraser fan. A twin finds another twin. What can happen there?
Andrey forced Iris to marry, then had to deal with her sorrow , discontent & distrust.
Andrey— “Because Iris is extraordinary, and I needed her. She was a perfect fit as my wife, already a member of the family. Our marriage secured the nomination.”

Quotes, Iris— Of course, your place would look like Sauron’s Dark Tower in Lord of the Ring’s.”
Andrey has a different way of looking at the world. He’s very detailed and sees things in black & white.
Iris is younger and has quite the mouth on her. It’s attached to her opinion.

Iris—“Taking a deep breath, she faces the blazing lights of the party. “There better be cupcakes.“

Ms. Fraser did it again! I’m a fan and love almost all of her characters and stories. This one did not disappoint. Iris was smart and funny and the perfect one for Andry. It is a fast paced mafia story with bits of humor and great one liners. Perfect for a quick read. I’m glad that Andry was neurodivergent with some great skills . And how Iris does not shy away from those parts of him is even better. Makes for a better new read when the characters aren’t always the same. Def recommend

I have read the other books in this series as well as this new one.

A different story from the others in the series, I particularly appreciated the research that had gone into this story by the author to make sure that it was a follow on book. I know how hard it is to maintain the consistency.

Strong characters, with a touch of humour amongst a dark story...

I read this book in a day, because it's the best way to spend a Sunday when the story is too good to stop reading!

Thank you

Fantastic

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is Andrey’s story, he is emotionless, arrogant and very blunt. He analyzes everything and everyone. He is cold. Iris is beautiful, kind, intelligent and feisty. She gets into some trouble and is forced to marry him. She doesn’t know he set her situation up. There’s the bad guys, attempted kidnapping, violence and hot sex. The way we the emotional growths of Andrew were awesome. I loved it. Great epilogue.

Anyone who has read this series would think they knew what to expect in Andrey's book...I certainly thought I did. BUT, I couldn't have been more wrong. Andrey is obsessed and surprisingly sweet to Iris. It was lovely to read his growing affection for his wife. I really liked Iris for Andrey; she is sweet but sassy!.

This was my first read by this author and I have to say even though I went in blind I loved the story, the family dynamic, I just loved it all. Andrey has his quirks but is incredibly smart and seeing him rise through the ranks of his career while also navigating his life as Bratva was an intriguing concept. Iris, I had mixed feelings at first because I liked her boldness and how she carried herself, and yet at times the way her and her sister did what they did came across as immature to me even after she was married and said she didn’t think it was appropriate and her sister didn’t listen, it was just ick. I loved the chemistry between Iris and Andrey, the way she got through to him at times was beautiful and how he tried to see things in a different way in order to connect with her was truly amazing. This was a great read and I want to go back and devour more.

Lord of Justice

💜My Review💜

Andrey and Iris 🥰

I was so excited when Arianna Fraser told us that Andrey Morozov, the lawyer for the Morozov family will be next and was matched with not other than with Iris Monroe. I knew it would be so epic!!!
He is cold as ice. They nicknamed him sort of AI concoction of a supermodel and a Colossal Nvidia computer. He has no emotion or whatsoever. Iris is his opposite, no filter, no sense of self awareness and won’t be able to stay calm.

It was a match made in heaven, for us readers!!!

And she didn’t disappoint us!

I laughed, i cried and I laughed again and again because it’s so silly how these two could have fallen for each other’s. But she made it possible but really so realistic.

This one is so close to be my favourite books from her. Because in a way, even if Andrey Morozov is not even related to Lachlan MacTavish. Andrey ,in my opinion, is the unbiological son’s to Lachlan MacTavish 🤣

another winner!

Another sweet, fun, s3xy story in this series, with a good helping of suspense/excitement. I really enjoyed both Iris and Andrey, though Andrey definitely saw more character growth…but he had more room to grow! 😆 I am always looking forward to the next book as soon as I am done with the current one.

🤌🏼✨ perfection

The perfect amount of dirty, romance, tension, and love. This is a complete stand alone and wonderfully built world. I’ve read many mafia/bravata/mob books but this one might just be one of my favorites because MMC is not necessarily the big boss. Great read definitely recommend for a heartwarming story
