I love vampire stories as much as the next woman. The sexy vampire sweeps in, makes you feel wanted, desired, like you’re the only person in the world who matters. It’s very romantic. Very Twilight.

Except when it happens to you for real.

Then it’s less “eternal love” and more “did I just get turned into a blood-drinking predator without my consent?”

I’m Allie Lane. I was twenty-two and working a soul-crushing job where my boss couldn’t remember my name. Then I met Dominic—gorgeous, wealthy, very into coffins—and woke up as a vampire.

Turns out vampire society is less “sexy immortal romance” and more ancient supernatural murder club called the Coven. The Coven wants to use me as a weapon. My vampire boyfriend might actually be a manipulative stalker. And the rugged vampire hunter is starting to look really good, despite the whole “supposed to kill me” thing.

Now I’m caught between the vampire who turned me and the hunter who wants to save me, trying to figure out if I can be a vampire without being a monster. Or if “eternal life” just means “eternally screwed.”

A sharp, funny paranormal romance about finding your power, choosing your own path, and learning that sometimes the scariest thing isn’t becoming a monster—it’s becoming yourself.

Check out this standalone novel in the Hazardous Gems Series.

Revamp takes cliche vampire tropes and turns it into a story of a very normal, very ordinary, overlooked woman who was turned into a vampire without her consent by a creepy, borderline-red flag of a man, so that she could learn how to value her freedom of choice and claim and exercise the power that's been in her all along—except it is a massive swing and a miss.

The thing I did enjoy while reading this was the fact that it's not heavily in the romance thingy, rather, it's about Allie and her choices and her perceptions, but her voice is kinda all over the place. The story is very fast-paced and kinda zooms in in a lot of details about how vampire world exists in modern society with a dash of humor that made me kinda cringe most of the time. Or maybe the humor isn't really it for me.

Fast-paced storytelling works only if it is balanced well with the kind that makes a reader want to slow down and sympathize with what the character is experiencing. There were times in the story where Allie is getting there, she's reflecting and thinking and grasping until bamm! one male lead shows up, vampire people comes out and her focus is swiftly turned towards the next act.

Reading this book, in all honesty, made me skim over a few parts because it was not compelling enough to be read. The story as a whole is a 3//5 stars because the cliche tropes aren't thoroughly balanced with interesting qualities that could have made the book stand out on its own without sounding like a fanfiction of popular vampire lore.

All there is to say, it is an interesting story to read. Entertaining but not captivating, moving but not inspiring.

Review

I am convinced at this point that Christina Hagmann could write literally anything and I would read it. She has such a fun, addictive writing style that the minute I start one of her books I already know I’m probably not going to put it down. And yep… that’s exactly what happened here. I sat down with this book and read the whole thing in one sitting because I simply could not stop.

What I love about Christina’s writing is how effortless it feels. The pacing moves quickly, the dialogue is sharp and funny, and the characters always feel full of personality. There’s this energy in her stories that just pulls you along and makes the reading experience genuinely fun. It never feels heavy or slow. Instead it feels like the story is racing forward and you’re just happily along for the ride.

The characters in this book were easily one of my favorite parts. They had so much personality and charm that I found myself smiling through a lot of the scenes. The interactions between the characters felt natural and entertaining, and there’s a playful tone throughout the story that makes it stand out from a lot of other paranormal or vampire stories. It never takes itself too seriously, which made it even more enjoyable to read.

And Dominic… honestly he completely stole the show for me. He is pure chaotic vampire energy in the best possible way. There’s something about characters like that who bring a little unpredictability into every scene they’re in. You never quite know what they’re going to say or do next, and that made every moment with him feel entertaining. He was messy, dramatic, chaotic, and somehow still completely lovable. I absolutely adored him.

Another thing Christina does really well is creating a world that feels lively and entertaining without bogging the reader down with too much information. The supernatural elements, the vampire aspects, and the overall setting all felt immersive without ever slowing down the story. Everything just flows naturally and keeps the momentum going.

What really stood out to me while reading this was how much fun I was having. Sometimes you pick up a book expecting a quick entertaining read and it ends up feeling average. This one delivered exactly what I hoped for and more. It was funny, chaotic, charming, and completely bingeable.

By the time I finished the final page I realized I had read the entire thing without even thinking about stopping. That’s always the best sign for me that a book really worked. When a story can grab your attention that completely and keep you turning pages without effort, you know the author did something right.

Christina Hagmann continues to be one of those authors where if I see her name on a book, I’m picking it up. No questions asked.

This was such a fun read and an easy five stars for me.

As a reader who loves reading anything about vampires, I had a feeling I would like this book. I actually LOVED it. I love a book that can give you great banter and make something that usually isn’t funny turn out funny. Imagine a coming of age story wrapped into a vampire story that gives you a look behind the scenes of what vampire life could be like. Choosing between the stalkerish vampire who turned you and the vampire hunter who you are extremely attracted to is definitely a mind bending experience!!! I liked this author’s way of telling the story with her character development!!! Definitely would recommend this one !!!

I devoured this book in one sitting, and honestly, I’m still recovering from how much fun it was. Fast-paced, clever, and laugh-out-loud funny, it’s the kind of story that drags you in and refuses to let go. Sure, I occasionally wanted more—more world-building, more juicy moments—but that’s because I was obsessed, not because anything felt rushed.

The characters are the real stars here. Allie is smart, relatable, and completely compelling, but let’s talk about Dominic… messy vampire man extraordinaire. He makes questionable choices, straddles the line between villain and… well, still a vampire, and yet somehow I couldn’t stop rooting for him. Yes, he’s a mess. Yes, he’s problematic. But yes, I want him happy. Marcus is great too, and the tension, banter, and occasional chaos between these three kept me flipping pages like a caffeine-fueled fiend.

The side characters also shine, and I’m crossing my fingers that some of them pop up in the next book. Overall, this is a sharp, clever, and wickedly funny paranormal romance that spins vampire tropes in a fresh way. I laughed, I swooned, I may or may not have shouted at the book a little… and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Thank you, Christina Hagmann and Book Sirens, for eARC.

Thank you BookSirens for the ARC!

I really thought this was a fun read! The chapter titles are so clever and there were parts that had me laughing out loud (the kitchen scene with Sarah's hookup, anyone?). This book made me want to run to KU to see what else is available by the author.

The story was fast paced, the characters were engaging. The plot was unique to others I've read in the past, with the Coven and the Union and their relationship with the other. There wasn't a whole lot of smut, which would be appealing to those who like a paranormal romance but not so much smut.

The ending of the story left me wondering if we'll get a sequel that brings more of what happens with our characters after the new system in place. Fingers crossed, we do.

This was such a fun book to read!

Set in a modern world where vampires are still ruling their own with ancient rules and regulations and taking down anyone who threatens their authority.

The characters were so refreshing. Allie was real and relatable after being turned into a vampire without her (or the covens) consent. And Dominic he was toxic, morally grey and stuck in his 200 year old ways but I really was lowkey rooting for him the whole book. And of course Marcus the knight in shining armor.

This book was very easy to get into and keep me interested! Thank you booksirens and Christina for this ARC!

Thank you Book Sirens for the opportunity to read this ahead of time, because I got to be super duper excited about it on release day!
The banter was some of my favorite banter I’ve read so far this year and that is really saying something because I LIVE for the banter. I’d compare the banter level to something of Hannah Bonam-Young or B.K. Borison for sure.
This book was such a good time and I highly recommend <3

I've read the majority of Hagmann's books and they never fail to entertain. One of my favorites from her is the vampire trilogy, Chasing Light, Chasing Darkness, and Chasing Death, partly because she was able to spend more time developing the main characters, the plotline, and the worldbuilding. But it was also because she made me care about the world. Another favorite was a fairly recent novella, Field of Frights. This one was much lighter and less horror-filled, but a lot of fun. Allie is a huge wallflower who is used to being overlooked, until she unwisely decides to go home with a stranger (yes, I can live a little!) and wakes up next to a coffin and learns that she's been changed into a vampire. What follows is days of trying to figure out the new world, and why Dominic changed her into a vampire without her consent, although he views it as saving her from her mundane life of no one noticing her (yeah, everyone notices her now). Then there's Marcus, the vampire hunter who wants to save her from Dominic, and you can see the love triangle developing right away. And yet, despite that being a significant part of the story, it really wasn't the main point. I like that Allie discovers her own power, autonomy, and the ability to shape her own life, as well as ensuring that others in her position will be able to do so as well. This was so not the stereotypical vampire story, which I loved and I ended up reading through most of it in one sitting. This was great fun and I would recommend it as a great introduction to Hagman's ability to craft a novella. While I sometimes wish she would write longer novels, I find that I have a hard time putting her novellas down. If you're looking for a quick read, a palate cleanser, or a unique spin on the old vampire romance story, I recommend you give this a whirl.

Revamp was a refreshing surprise that took a familiar supernatural premise and turned it into a clever, witty journey. As someone who appreciates a strong internal voice, I found Allie to be a fantastic protagonist—she’s sassy, observant, and relatable, which made the early chapters feel lighthearted and genuinely funny.

However, the middle of the book sparked some very strong reactions for me. Watching Allie navigate a dynamic with a deeply manipulative and emotionally abusive partner was frustrating in the best way; the author did an excellent job of making me feel her "stuckness" and the anxiety of being in a "kept woman" situation. I found myself rooting for her to see through the gaslighting and follow her intuition. The chemistry between the leads was phenomenal, particularly when it came to moments of genuine trust and vulnerability. The banter was top-tier, and I loved how the story eventually matured from a personal discovery tale into a fascinating look at societal change and legal protections.

Constructive Criticism:
While the writing was engaging, the pacing felt a little uneven at times. The first half felt like a slow-burn character study, while the second half moved at a breakneck speed to establish an entire new world order.

What would have earned 5 stars:
To get that fifth star, I would have loved to see a bit more of the "in-between" transition. I wanted more time to breathe in the middle of the book to see Allie’s psychological shift from being a passive participant in her life to a leader. Some of the world-building in the final act felt a bit rushed, and more time exploring the logistics of the new society would have made the ending feel even more earned.

Overall, it’s a smart, "revamped" take on vampire lore that I truly enjoyed!

“Of course, there’s only one bed. Because my life is a badly written romance novel now.”

We have our chaotic darling Allie whose mind runs a thousand miles a minute. She’s witty, she’s chaotic and surprisingly still very reasonable? All it took was one too many drinks and suddenly she’s craving for something warm, something bloody and definitely not at all moral by any human standards. Couple that with a whirlwind romance along with a strangely modernised council that dictates your every move and suddenly being immortal doesn’t seem to look so tempting anymore. Allie’s thrust into a glittering, glamorous world that doesn’t seem to look so luxurious anymore when her survival depends entirely from every choice she makes.

This book was fast-paced, witty and such a breath of fresh air from the typical vampire books. I loved how the (hidden) vampire world was integrated well in the modern world. I also loved how the vampires were all tech savvy and somehow all owned tablets. That was such a funny moment despite the not-so-funny issue(s) going on. The characters were also well fleshed out with each of them having clear motives. Allie was very reasonable with her choices throughout the book although I did wish there were more things that happened between her, Dominic and Marcus before things switched over. The plot was great with a clear pathway, albeit a little predictable at times but it’s a good and solid plot nonetheless. I do wish the vampire politics were integrated throughout the book rather than just towards the end because it made the ending feel a little rushed.

Overall, the book was enjoyable and a nice change compared to your usual vampire books.

{Urban Fantasy with some romance; Love Triangle but M/F; (fade-to-black) spice}

--This is an ARC from Booksirens, but my review is my own!

This story is billed as a paranormal romance comedy. Each person decides how funny it is, but I found it mildly amusing with the witty phrases, with one good scene I loved. Poor Allie is the wingman, wallflower, and shrinking violet in any story, but one bar drink too many leads to a regretful evening that turns her into a night owl. The vampire who turns her, Dominic, is a bleeding heart in search of women to save from their dour lives, and he is just as needy. Unfortunately, he is also controlling and condescending… and under a vampire council set of dictates.

Every vampire who survives must do the jobs assigned by Celeste and her council. Failure means true death, but Allie has never succeeded at anything. Faced with murder and spying, she is understandably reluctant.

Enter her other savior: Marcus the vampire slayer. He likes her. He wants to save himself and her at the same time, by burning the world down (you’ll see). Again, no one is thinking perfectly clearly.

THE ROMANCE:

Let me say, the romance is not the dominant plot element. It’s a save the world or save ourselves situation, so I think this is more plot-driven with a strong romantic subtheme. For me, that made the story better.

“Marcus kissed her then, deep and desperate, like he was trying to memorize the taste of her. When they broke apart—him breathing hard and her not breathing at all”

And a small shout-out:

I love the Bob Ross painting with murder metaphor !

First, thank you to Christina Hagmann & BookSirens for an ARC e-copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. The verdict is.... I absolutely loved this book! From page one, I was completely hooked and ended up devouring the whole thing in one sitting!

The Vibe
If you’re looking for a "vampire romance," let’s be clear: this is a rom-com where the emphasis is heavily on the com. It’s less about the smolder and much more about the laugh-out-loud absurdity of being undead.

The Main Character
Allie is a total breath of fresh air. Her brain runs a thousand miles an hour, and her internal monologue is a repository of sarcastic, hilarious analogies. She is chaotic, witty, and deeply relatable—even when she’s waking up next to a coffin and realizing her life has taken a very permanent, very pale, turn.

The Plot
The story itself is actually surprisingly solid. It’s not just jokes; it’s a fast-paced journey of a "baby vampire" trying to navigate the dangerous (and often annoying) worlds of vampires and hunters all while trying to keep her moral compass intact while craving blood. She manages to piss off the stuffy, ancient vampires in charge & has to finally own who and what, she has become.

Final Thoughts
This was my first introduction to Christina Hagman’s writing, and I’m officially a fan. It was a fast, fun read that didn't take itself too seriously but still kept me invested in the story. Even though this is technically part of a series, it works perfectly as a standalone and you can bet I’m going back to check out Book 1 now!

Revamp is a fast-paced young adult fantasy novel that introduces readers to a world where mysterious gems hold dangerous powers. The concept is immediately intriguing, offering a blend of magic, tension, and hidden secrets that keeps the story moving at a steady rhythm.
One of the book’s strongest points is how easy it is to read. The plot progresses quickly, making it a good choice for readers who enjoy bingeable stories that don’t require too much effort to follow. The idea of hazardous gems adds a unique twist to the narrative, creating moments of suspense and curiosity that push the reader forward.
However, the novel does have some limitations. The writing style is quite simple, which makes it very accessible but may feel a bit basic for readers who prefer more complex or layered storytelling. Additionally, while the main characters are relatable, they are not deeply developed, and some side characters can feel flat or underexplored. This can make the emotional impact of certain moments less powerful than it could have been.
The worldbuilding is interesting but not as detailed as it could be. The story introduces compelling ideas, yet it doesn’t always fully expand on them, leaving a sense of missed potential. Similarly, parts of the ending may feel somewhat rushed, which can be slightly unsatisfying after the buildup.
Overall, Revamp is an entertaining and engaging read, especially for younger audiences or those looking for a light fantasy novel. While it may lack depth in some areas, its creative premise and quick pacing make it enjoyable. It’s a book that captures your attention easily, even if it doesn’t stay with you long after you’ve finished it.

Hagmann is no stranger to writing books about vampires, but I think this may be her most successful turn yet. With Revamp, she subverts the actions and expectations of the young woman who finds herself entangled in the secret world of vampires...because she's become one.

The story starts the morning after Allie's unwitting transformation into a vampire and just keeps rolling from there. Yes, there are brooding vampire men and a love triangle of sorts, but that all takes a backseat to Allie's internal monologue, which is asking "what is going on???" most of the time--and makes for some great humor while she's at it. There were quite a few lines that actually had me laughing out loud as I read (my favorite was when Allie drinks blood for the first time and loves it, and she says, "I think I just failed a moral test"). The lighthearted tone definitely makes Revamp stand out from the crowd.

However, I do wish the plot stayed in the supernatural romcom territory throughout the entire story. Once Allie and Marcus started delving into vampire politics and plotting to take down the Coven, the tone shifted back toward that of Hagmann's other vampire-centric books, and it was a bit tedious to get through the last quarter or so. I also felt that a lot of Allie's self-deprecating thoughts and comedic turns of phrase were getting repetitive (especially the ones put in quotations in the narration).

Still, Revamp is an easy, fun read and a nice change of pace from the darker vampire stories out there.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was a quick, entertaining read. Overall, I recommend reading it to those who enjoy Romantasy and/or if you enjoy the humor and style of Ali Hazelwood. I chuckled to myself at quite a few of the lines in the book. Very clever writing.

I really liked one of the MMC's (Marcus), because he was a break from some of the more popular tropes on the market. It was a refreshing change of pace.

I have 2 critiques:

1. It feels very rushed. I thought there were many things that could have been fleshed out. I would like to have more of Allie's (FMC) emotional struggle and growth. I wanted more story, really, especially when it came to her getting to know and interact with both the male leads and the vampire world.

2. It was occasionally hard to follow because of the way some thoughts or side comments were written. Sometimes they were in quotes, sometimes italicized. Also, I was thrown off by the story being in third person but reading very much like a first person narrative. I think it would be easier to follow in first person, since the narration reads like it's from Allie's point of view, anyway.

Overall, I enjoyed the story and think others will as well. I think there's a ton of potential to add more story and take it to the next level.

If you're tired of brooding, angsty vampires, Revamp is the antidote. It's the vampire story for people who are done with the old tropes and ready for something fresh.

This book starts with Allie waking up next to a coffin with no memory of the night before and somehow gets MORE chaotic from there. She's been turned into a vampire, but instead of sparkly romance, she gets thrown into supernatural bureaucracy and is forced to do things she doesn't want to do.

Dominic, the ancient vampire who turned her, is handsome and amazing, but he's part of the Coven, the group that gets to decide how vampires live and which vampires live. I genuinely liked Dominic and found myself cheering for him to do the right thing by Allie.

As for Allie, she's refreshingly real. She's not some chosen one with hidden powers. She's just a girl who's been overlooked her entire life, suddenly thrust into a world where she can't hide anymore.

Read this if you want vampires but you're tired of toxic relationships being romanticized and if you want a heroine who feels like a real person, not a fantasy.

Thank you BookSirens for the ARC.

Revamp is a fun take on the classic vampire love story.

I loved that Dominic, the vampire that turns Allie, is ultimately portrayed as manipulative and is not the person Allie ends up with. Throwing in Marcus as a vampire hunter love interest had me hooked from the get go.

I happen to be reading Dracula for the first time while reading this and it’s so fun to see where the author draws inspiration from the really classic vampires. Overall, this book was engaging and fun and the chapter titles were all a joy!

All of that being said, I do feel like everything felt a bit rushed. There’s a lot of action packed into 250 pages. It honestly seems like it should have been a series instead of just one book focusing on these events. I think we could have had an entire book on Allie becoming a vampire and slowly realizing that Dominic is maybe not the romantic hero we’ve come to expect.

I’m also not a huge fan of the ending where everything wraps up perfectly with a huge pretty bow. Ultimately this read was worth the time I spent reading it and I definitely enjoyed myself!

Revamp was a nice, easy read. Unfortunately, I did not like Allie as much as I wanted to. She had great moments and I enjoyed watching her character growth. Honestly, I thought she deserved better from the male leads in the book. I think she could have really come into her own more and I really questioned how much she let other people run her life. That being said, I liked her sense of humor and she even echoed some of my own thoughts about her situation.

The pacing of the book could have been better. It felt slow in some places and then lightning fast at others. I also did not love the shift away from supernatural romance into sudden politics in the last quarter of the book. It felt like a strange shift in narrative that didn't quite match the overall vibe of the book.

Overall, the book was a nice break from the traditional vampire romance books I've read before. The story was enjoyable and I would recommend to others if they're looking for something a little different.

Are there ethical vampires?

Allie Lane is the main character of this story and we hear how she tries to come to terms with being turned into a vampire (with the powers and needs consequent upon that) without her consent. She is torn between two men who both claim to want to help her. One is a devil and one an angel, but which is which? She also has to contend with ancient prejudices and an organisation set up to protect itself and privilege its members. These are some of the temptations and opposition she faces. She discovers she has a rare power which puts her more at risk from the traditional forces, but could be an asset in rebellion. I liked the descriptions of hunger and feeding as well as her internal musings. This is an adult story as we are told about sexual activity, which is relevant to the character development. The plot moves with pace and has a few twists. Not my usual genre, but I liked the riff on an old theme.

Omg! I read this in one day! I could not put it down!
I didn't count the times I laughed out loud or the times I gasped, but it was about equal. And a LOT!
The book FLOWS:
the world building - modern day Seattle mostly, but with vampires (I mean, no one has proven they AREN'T there).
The character building - a fallible FMC who yearns to stop being a forgettable doormat; the two MMCs: one a rougishly handsome vampire and the other an equally intense vamp HUNTER who both think she's anything BUT forgettable.
The storytelling: what happens when you get what you think you want and what you will do to keep it.
I. Ate. It. Up.
So much more relatable than other hot vampire books, this is more of an unflinching look at what being dead and needing the blood of the living means to someone who is experiencing this for the first time.
Not romantic, sexy feedings but blood thirsty carnage.
Such a ride!
I absolutely recommend Revamp! Its such a fresh take on a well represented trope and exactly what I was hoping for!

A fun, fast-paced vampire x vampire sire x hunter love triangle with strong Ali Hazelwood humour vibes. If you enjoyed Hot for Slayer, this sits in a similar lane, just lighter on the spice.

The story follows a newly turned vampire trying to navigate the chaos of her new undead life while getting pulled into messy vampire politics and an increasingly complicated romantic situation involving both her sire and a hunter.

What really makes this one work is the tone. It’s quick, witty, and self-aware, with plenty of humour balancing the darker vampire elements. The coming-of-age angle also lands well as the FMC figures out who she is now that everything about her world has changed.

Add in some interesting vampire lore, power dynamics, and a love triangle that definitely keeps things entertaining, and you’ve got a really fun paranormal romance.

Thank you to BookSirens and Christina Hagmann for the eARC.

So- I loved parts of this book and didn't so much love other parts. It felt rushed and unfinished, but the parts that were written, were done well. The characters were interesting- except Dominic- he was underdeveloped.

This was funny and fun and a fascinating concept- just needs a little bit more development in certain areas. The first three weeks of vampire life for example, and basically everything that happens after she meets Elena- those are the areas that would really make the book great- if they were fully developed.

Additionally, the book is written in third person, but the chapter titles are written in first person- so that's a little confusing.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book, I just would've enjoyed it more had it been fully developed. It was a quick read, but really should've been longer to fully tell the story it needed to tell.

Revamp is likely to be unlike any other vampire-based story you’ve read before. There are elements of similarity to True Blood, Anne Rice and even Twilight, but they’re all mixed together to create something new.

Allie is turned into a vampire against her will. What’s worse is that her sire is a repeat offender and her existence offends the governing body - The Coven. We follow Allie as she adjusts to life as the undead and tries to survive her “illegal” transformation.

The story is well paced and builds in the latter third as more of the action happens. The characters are likeable and Allie drives the narrative well. For me, the only letdown was that the ending seemed somewhat subdued compared to previous chapters. I’m not sure if the door is being left open for a second book, but I didn’t leave this story with the satisfaction of resolution, which is a pet peeve for me!

The writing style is very straightforward, with some moments of genuinely funny banter sprinkled throughout. I really liked the overall concept. It had a lot of potential, but some of the humor just didn’t land for me personally.

The pacing was a bit inconsistent. The development felt like it took too long in some areas, while the ending, in particular, felt rushed and a little all over the place. Tonally, the story also seemed to swing between very dark and comedic, and the contrast didn’t always feel balanced.

Allie is an okay protagonist, but I found myself wanting more depth, especially in her relationship with Marcus. Their connection didn’t feel as developed as it could have been, which made it harder to fully invest in them.

Overall, not a bad read, but it didn’t fully hit the mark for me.

Considering I finished the book in just two days, I have to say I absolutely adored it. Revamp is a light and easy read, focusing more on the romance and self discovery than on an action filled plot. The characters are quite well written and developed wonderfully. I especially loved Allie's character, watching her develop from a scared, indecisive person to a bold, self-actualized vampire. Marcus and Dominic were also wonderful characters and had proper growth throughout the book.

I will say the ending was quite rushed and the end pairing wasn't given much time to develop, but other than that, the book is definitely worth a read if you're looking for an easy and fun read.
Special thanks to the author for providing an advance review copy.

I enjoyed this vampire story so much that I simply found myself wanting more! It was fast-paced, entertaining, and honestly, very funny. Allie made me laugh a lot! Dominic and Allie are two characters that I truly enjoyed following throughout the book.
There were chapters that left me with more questions than answers, but that’s something I really appreciate about the author’s style. Christina has a lot of talent, and it shows in every single chapter. This is the second book I’ve read by her, and I loved it.
It’s so good to connect with stories that help you forget about everything happening in the real world. Of course, I’m giving it 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Congratulations to the author for such wonderful talent.

I just had so much fun!! This had me giggling from the jump. Allie is hilarious in such a dry, sarcastic, says whatever comes to her brain immediately way. This was such a refreshing take on a traditional vampire romance, with a FMC that actually used her brain and questioned wtf was going on. I will say this moves quickly and was very insta-love with no real supporting reason, but I say that with love because I really just wanted so much more depth from the couple (note: this is not spicy, so keep that in mind if that’s what you’re looking for). Overall, I had a great time and if you love yourself a vampire romance, would recommend!

Thank you BookSirens and Christina Hagmann for the eARC!

First thing I’m going to mention is whilst this is book 2 in a series, it is a stand alone book where you don’t need to have read book 1.

This is a fun romp of a book that begins with Allie getting turned into a vampire. The story follows her transition from human to creature of the (almost) night.

This book is easy and fun to read, with a well developed story.

I started reading it and got so engrossed that I looked up and realised the sun had set and I’d almost finished the book.

Pride and prejudice, it’s not, but what it is, is a story of self discovery walled into a paranormal rom com. The humour is laugh out loud at times.

So two enthusiastic thumbs up from me.

I DID LOVE THIS!!! One of my most fun reads of the year, so far. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to laugh.
"Revamp" is a book about a girl who wakes up hung over, with a taste for something other than food. She has no idea what happened to her the night, before. All she knows is that she doesn't know what to do with herself and while not looking her best, a very attractive/charming man addresses her, by name.
This book was a breath of fresh air. I love horror comedies and want to read another book by this author, before the year is out. I am so glad I had the privilege of reading this, before the publication date.
