ER Dr. Sloane Sutton has spent her life trying to save people from the kind of brutal death her parents suffered. She has always known something darker is out there. She just never expected it to find her.
When a late-night shift ends in disaster, she’s dragged into the supernatural world she never believed in, one ruled by vampires who don’t kill, don’t expose, and definitely don’t fall for humans… at least they’re not supposed to.
Kade stoic, broody, and lethal, with an icy blue stare that feels like a warning Knox charming, reckless, and sinfully tempting, with a smile that promises ruin
As a deadly legend awakens, Sloane becomes the center of a hunt she doesn’t understand, and the obsession of two vampires who’d defy their nature to keep her alive.
And when a powerful werewolf enters the picture… her world tilts again, darker, hungrier, more dangerous than she ever imagined.
One human girl. Three supernatural predators. A prophecy soaked in blood and moonlight.
And a battle coming that might cost them everything, including each other.
Reese Wilder is an indie author of romantasy and dark romance, known for emotionally instense stories that blend fate, power, and morally complex characters. Her work explores the spaces where love collides with darkness, loyalty is tested, and survival demands transformation.
When she's not writing, Reese can usually be found building new worlds, connecting with readers online, reading a good book, or spending time with her five kids and husband.
3.5/5 stars. This book reminded me of Twilight in a lot of ways but she gets both the vamps and the werewolf. This was a super easy read. If you want a twist on Twilight then this is for you.
I received this book as an advanced copy as an ARC reader.
When I received this book I started with a blank slate. I didn’t really know what the book was about other than two hot ass vampire dudes or what the story was going to show me. I was unfamiliar with the author or her writing style.
That being said, I just want to say… what a great read! The story was one I hadn’t experienced before. I mean come on! A myriad of tropes: “why choose”, “touch her and die”, “reverse harem”, “found family”, “morally gray men” and I would even say these apply as well: “forbidden love”, “forced proximity”, “grumpy/sunshine”, “opposites attract” etc.
So here it is the pros of the story:
-I loved the characters and how each of them brought something different to the story -the characters all got a lot of pages…it wasn’t heavily written all about one person and the rest were an afterthought. -the spice level was nice. Almost would have been happier with just a little more 😆 the MMC’s are all HOT!!! -the story didn’t drag on in a way that lost my interest. The speed of the plot flowed really nicely. -I loved that the FMC wasn’t a weak damsel in distress. Yes her men protected her and “attempted” to hide her during the pivotal moments of the story to keep her safe, but she wanted to fight along side them and I loved that although they hated it they let her!
And now for the cons: -I know I said the story didn’t drag on, but at the same time I wanted just a little bit more. I feel that the story was wrapped neatly in a bow at the end but there could’ve been a little more action considering how much build up we got about “the prophecy” (apparently I like drama in my stories 😅) -I would’ve liked to hear more about the FMC/MMC back stories. - we were introduced to a new drama near the end of the story but didn’t hear what the result will be of that new plot twist. Hopefully she plans in the future to do a sequel and give us the answers to it. I don’t know.
In conclusion, I gave this book 4⭐️ for the well written plot and characters, the flow of the story and how I felt throughout and at the end of the story. It only lost a star because of the things I mentioned in the con area of my review.
I found myself way more into this story than I thought I would be! I definitely enjoy the shifter romance genre, especially werewolves. This story combines werewolves, vampires, witches and humans to create a world full of mystery and danger. I really liked the main characters and how they interacted with one another. They are all entertaining in their own ways, combining fun, flirty, sassy with grumpy and serious. The story pulls you into their love story and then moves into the action. Turns out our FMC is part of a prophecy that puts her in some serious danger. It will take the combined effort of three men and some friends to help keep her alive. I would say this is moderate on the spice, moderate on the violence and high on the romance. It is definitely worth a read if anything I said peaks your interest!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Moonbitten & Bloodbound completely pulled me into its world and refused to let me go. Reese does an incredible job blending the supernatural with emotional depth.
Kade, Knox, and Rhett are not just love interests thrown into the mix. They are fully distinct, layered characters with personalities that make you fall for each of them in different ways.
I live for good banter, so the dynamic of vampires and a werewolf all trying to coexist for Sloane’s sake, was excellent.
This book was amazing. I finished it in a day. I really vibed with Kade. I feel like the book connected with today's life and the craziness of everything . I love fantasy as well . This author really hit it on the head with the style of book I like . Also I love that there is going to be a book to! The ending was perfect and left you wanting more for sure. Can't wait for book 2 !
