The gorgeous music mogul who saves ER nurse Simona Andrews from a hallway collision belongs firmly in her "do not date" category. He's in the media spotlight—just like her ex, an actor who trashed her publicly after their split. Since she became guardian to her baby niece, Simona has even more reason to avoid high-profile affairs. Yet still her body is on fire from Donovan's lightest touch.
Record label VP Donovan Wright tells himself it's exhaustion, adrenaline…but nothing has ever matched the feeling of having Simona in his arms. Sexy and compassionate by turns, she immediately pulls him in, even as his own trust issues surface. Before she walks away for good, he has just one more chance to prove that his promise to love and care for her will never be broken…
Sheryl Lister has enjoyed reading and writing for as long as she can remember. She writes contemporary and inspirational romance and romantic suspense. She been nominated for an Emma Award and RT Reviewer’s Choice Award and named BRAB’s 2015 Best New Author. When she’s not reading, writing or playing chauffeur, Sheryl can be found on a date with her husband or in the kitchen creating appetizers and bite-sized desserts.
Wow! Absolutely loved it! Every story I've ever read by Miss Sheryl has rocked! It's easy to connect with her characters and their conflicts!
Poor Simona let her sleazy ex-boyfriend turn her life upside down because she felt so helpless against his horrible lies. Well he met his match in Donovan. Donovan promised Simona that he would stop Travis in his tracks, so that they could have the life they deserve. But will Simona take a chance and trust Donovan to keep his promise?
Sheryl Lister has done it again. She is a gifted storyteller and I enjoy reading her work. It's Only You was so good that I read it in one day. The storyline was well written and believable. Donovan and Simona had chemistry from the very beginning. The baby is just adorable and stole my heart. I highly recommend It's Only You and any other books written by Sheryl Lister. You will not be disappointed.
Record Label VP Donovan Wright And ER Nurse Simona Andrews, great couple. Hated that I got to the end of It's Only You. I so loved this book and didn't want it to end. Glad that Donovan and Simona finally have each other in their lives and were able to overcome their trust issues. Enjoyed the updates and the personal information on Donovan was great.
If you have not read any of Sheryl's books you must they are very, very good.
I enjoyed Donovan & Simona's story. I liked that once Donovan was all in, he went for it. They along with lil Yasmine make a beautiful family. loved catching up with Terrence and Janae.
I love Sheryl Lister books. This book's story line was okay. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. Simona's character was okay. I really liked Donovan's character. I thought Donovan was smooth & sexy. I loved the scenes with Donovan & Yasmine. I liked the ending.
Simona and Donovan have to be one of my all-time favorite couples in romance! This is my first time reading Sheryl Lister and I love how she writes. The characters were emotionally mature, but the story still felt fun and at times very sexy. I adored Donovan and his dedication to the heroine. Simona had been burned in the past from relationships and he made sure she knew that he wasn't going anywhere.
I especially liked the setting and the new aspects of the story. So many romances have business/CEO/Tycoons but this is one of the few times where I read about a Hero being a record company executive -- for R&B artists! I love music and I loved the details readers got about his job. I really wish Harlequin would bring back this series. The stories are so diverse and give you a variety of settings, age groups, and backgrounds.
I really adored this and now I need to read more from this author.
I did read the books a little out of order, but I still enjoyed this read. A love romance between an ER Nurse and a Executive Producer of a record label. Of course, Grandma Elle Campbell was my favorite character (She tells everyone to call her grandma, then procedes to get in their business when they do). My Favorite line was when she was worrying him about getting married and getting all up in Donovan's business, she said, "He calls me Grandma and that gives me privileges." To the point her husband has to make her stop embarassing Donovan. This was truly a very good romance read.
This a story about Simona Andrews and Donovan Wright. They met while he was at the hospital for the birth o his goddaughter. He saved Simona from a coffee cart accident and got burned on the arm. After he invited her to dinner then to a concert to get to know her better. After several months they took a trip to see her grandmother while falling in love that led to happily ever after.
This was so incredibly cute and satisfying. Simone and Donovan’s story was a beautiful trek to get to their HEA. The storyline had everything, tension, all the push/pull to keep you on the edge of your seat. Enough drama to bite your nails the quick, and heat. Lots and lots of heat.
And Donovan and Yasmine were everything, they made me laugh and cry. Well done Ms. Lister, well done :-).
At first, I thought Donovan was coming off too strong. He was giving me stalker vibes. BUT, as the story kept unfolding...my gosh, he was a dream come true! Loved the chemistry with the characters. Loved Simona and her personality. Lister really did her thing with this book!
This story was amazing from beginning to end. I loved the strength and thoughtfulness of Simona, but I LOVED the determination of Donovan. That man knew what he wanted and went for it! Love knows no bounds. Beautifully written.
This was a sweet love story. However, I had a problem with the female protagonist (Simona) wanting to bolt when things got tough. I understand wanting to protect her niece but what does that teach her. Run whenever things are hard. How often can you change cities/states/countries before you finally stand up for yourself and your life.
Even though Donovan showed her the lengths he would go to protect her and Yasmine; she still ran. In the end, I'm glad she realize that the chemistry and love they were building is rare and worth fighting for. Her ex and the woman Lauren were both terrible people and so was her best friend who betrayed her to save her acting career. No integrity and you should have that no matter the profession.
The Circle of Friends series is really good. The women definitely need to be reassured the men are genuine. Reader-it's with all the women and I'm on the last book for me in the series (Vivian and Devin). I read them out of order.

Donovan Wright never thought he would literally “save the woman of his dreams” from a runaway cart but that is exactly how he meets ER nurse, Simona Andrews. He recognizes the attraction and wants to get to know her better. Simona, unaware of Donovan’s occupation, is reluctant to date him as she harbors emotional scars from a previous relationship. In addition she has guardianship of her 11 month-old niece and wants to avoid the spotlight. Yet, she cannot deny the feelings Donovan brings out when they are together. She realizes he is a sweet and lovable guy but can she trust that he can guard their privacy?
Donovan is also struggling with trust issues and wants complete honesty in his next relationship. Once Simona agrees to a date and then a second, Donovan senses she is hiding something. An emergency causes her to come clean and Donovan feels the relationship they were building was mostly one-sided. He has to decide if she is worth it. Donovan has his work cut out for him and he just needs one chance to show Simona she is the one for him.
I thoroughly enjoyed Donovan and Simona’s story and adding in little Jasmine to the mix made for a lovable story. Ms. Lister did a great job in character development. Readers are able to empathize with Simona, but their hearts will really go out for Donovan. Ms. Lister portrays Donovan as a man not afraid to fall in love and when he does, he falls mind, body and soul. His love knows no boundaries and he works diligently to convince Simona to give him a chance. Although, Simona compromises the relationship with her trust issues, readers will experience the hurt Donovan feels and want to reach through the pages and shake some sense into her.
The story flowed very well and will keep readers engaged and rooting for this couple. It was great to catch up with a few old friends: Monte, Janae, Damien and Karen. Overall, this is a good read. Readers do not sleep on this author.
I was anxiously awaiting Donovan's story, and Sheryl delivered. She had the right woman in Simonia to compliment Donovan. Both loyal, compassionate, dedicated and passionate people Donovan and Simonia are what love stories are about. Not without the elements of discourse, Sheryl was able to finesse the story to bridge the troubled waters that faced the couple. You come to appreciate Donovan's fierce loyalty and his ability to protect, confess and provide for Simonia. Everyone has a past and how we choose to deal with it determines our future. The side characters of Eve and Nana were perfect, and it's always good to revisit Terrence and Nadia, Karen and Damien. It brings Sheryl's first three novels home. Definitely going to be on my re-read list. Great job, Sheryl and Happy 1 year published anniversary. Many more years of success.
Aww, this was such a feel good, sweet touching story...writing was smoothly and flowed very easily!!!! I love our main characters, Simona Andrews, how she fiercely protected and love her niece, Yasmine,.and Donovan Wright, he was charismatic and such a unique gentleman who cherish and respect Simona feelings...highly recommended
I love a good medical romance. Throw in a hot guy int he music industry, an intelligent nurse, and the most adorable baby ever and a good book is born.
Simona is running scared from her past and interestingly enough she plows straight into the arms of the kind of person who can keep her running. Trusting women is hard for Donovan. So when Simona gives him something for him to leave her over (which I called him all kinds of names for doing), he tries not to look back. But love has a way of working things out.
This book was so good. The twists and turns in the life of Simona and Donavan. What really got me was the way that Yasmine just took over their relationship. Yasmine born of extenuating circumstances of tragedy was the love of everyone who met her. Being a music moguel Donavon was always searching for the right woman and Simona falls into his arms. Love a alpha man when he get's the woman. This story was entertaining, realistic and steady. Great novel.
This story was great. I love how he came to understand her point of view, and how he & Yasmine bonded. Little girls need their daddies. I really like how he handled her trust issues at the end. I was doing fist bumps with myself! Terrence got the last laugh on Donovan but he was a good friend. I can't wait to read Karen's story!
Great read! Donovan Wright (music mogul) meets ER nurse, Simons Andrews when he saves her from a hallway collision at the hospital. They both have trust issues, but can't stay away from each other. Sheryl a Lister has written a love story that will capture your heart .
This was a fantastic read! To see Donovan, the last in his group to finally fall in love, take the plunge and overcome all his issues was great. Simona was right to have concerns now that she was responsible for a life other than her own. Great read.
I love the fact that even though you're afraid of the past making another occurrence you're willing to make another attempt at love and finding your soul's other half.
I enjoyed reading Donovan and Simona's love story. She had a lot of hang-ups and for good reasons, but you can't let one bad apple ruin it for the rest. Donovan wasn't having it and he fought with all he had to capture his true love! What he offered, Simona couldn't turn down. Awesome read!!
