Ryan Giggs: The Man For All Seasons

His resilience and longevity amazed all who looked on, as he continued to play at the top level past his 40th birthday. And when David Moyes left the club, he was the natural replacement as interim manager, rallying the club to reclaim its roots. Now retired as a player, Giggs is about to begin a new role as assistant to Louis van Gaal.

Someone once wrote a book about Workington FC entitled 'Sad, so very sad' Hardly the title Steve Bartram would have chosen for this 2014 overview of the talented, focused much honoured Man U legend. Yet now, he is more famous for his private life As that poet put it- Look on my works, ye mighty and despair. I for one wouldn't swap with him
