Made For Death: A Dark Assassin Romance

Rate this book
I was raised to run.
He was trained to hunt.

Now we’re trapped together—and he refuses to let me go.

Priest Carmichael is one of the Sovereign’s most ruthless assassins. Unhinged. Sadistic. A weapon forged in blood and sharpened by pain.

He doesn’t care that I’ve bled, begged, or clawed my way to freedom.
He doesn’t care about justice. Or mercy.
He doesn’t care about anything.

Except control.

And the only thing more dangerous than his brutality…is how much I crave it.

He’s cruel in every way I should hate. But there’s something in the way he looks at me.
Something in the way he touches me—like pain is the only thing I deserve.

Now we are both being hunted.
But death isn’t the scariest thing in this world.
He is.

4 unhinged ⭐️

I didn't know much about this book going in, but I did try out the first book in the universe which I dnf'd mainly because of the writing at the time. Now, I feel like the writing has improved so much with this book and I'm glad I picked it up! I'm one of those people that got convinced by the art tho very easily, I see spicy sexy art yeah, give.

That being said, I did not expect it to be this DARK, hell I'm a dark romance girlie but hey this was actually PITCH BLACK. And I'm talking mainly about the MMC. He's not only sadistic as shit, absolutely batshit insane, basically likes to kill and torture people, but he's also giving a hard time to our baby girl A as well. But beneath all of that fucked up exterior and interior, there's a sliver chance that he's not at all the worst.

description

*cough* Ahem, so, guess I'm into that?? Hahaha, I know I have some sort of mental issues, but I don't care.
I really enjoy a good pitch black romance once in a while, and up to maybe 70% this was actually great, right around that time more or less I had a little trigger moment, but hey it was in the list, I was just not strong enough of a soldier. But I buzzed through it and loved this!!

I think Saige does a good job of building this society of assassins, how they struggle with power and the politics behind it are interesting, I only wished we had a bit more of those connections. I'm such a sucker for drama lol. I really like A too our FMC, she's A FIGHTER through and through, she stabs and shoots this man, fucks him up how she can lol, and he kinda does the same, but hey, we love strong woman, standing her ground as much as she can.

I'm actually looking forward a lot to the next book which I believe will be released in the summer, the tropes point to a MMC that we did meet in this one and he's *mysterious* , but I must say I really want a book with Raze's story. He's Priest's bestie basically and he's sooo unhinged, but in a less I guess, sadistic way?? LMAO.

In case this tempts you by any chance, for gods sake read the trigger warnings!!

*1.5 TORTUROUS STARS*

What in the messed up hell did I just read?
Bookstagram did me dirty on this one 😭
Don't get me wrong, I love a dark romance with a pitch-black MMC, but this was just plain sadistic and depraved behavior, there was no romance to speak of, and I only kept reading because I wanted to see some character development or redemption arc, but it just never came.
This was basically a story about a psychopath MMC who continuously rapes/forces the FMC to do messed up shit, and she ends up with Stockholm Syndrome because of it.

The story could have been interesting, with the society of killers and everything, but the constant sexual harassment just overshadowed everything else and just made the storyline super choppy and non-linear. I didn't like this at all and this left me feeling very uneasy.

I feel so disgusted after completing this book. I hate everything about Priest. I’m usually okay with a pitch-black MMC, but his behaviour went way too far. There’s “being extremely possessive” and there’s “being a disgusting psychopath and a rapist”.

And wtf Arlo?! How could you LOVE someone like him after everything he did to you? He raped you over and over again, destroyed you and literally broke every part of you. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The heavy abuse was actually distracting from the main story, and I experienced feelings of anger and disgust over and over again.
Yes, I can handle some rape parts like with other dark romance books, but this was way too much… Sickening too 🤮….

The main story itself was okay… But that’s the only good thing I can say about this book. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This book! I’m obsessed

On my dark scale, it's black with scattered pitch-black moments. I’m always on the lookout for the next pitch-black book.n

If you’re looking for a morally grey MMC, look away. Priest is morally black, some may say, unredemable. I say he is a silver. Enter our FMC A, Priest's obsession. Whole demons recognize themselves in each other. I love a strong and intense FMC.

I read this book in one sitting, and to say I was captivated is an understatement.

What a wild ride! Heart racing, action packed, totally dark unhinged brutality and loved every second. I've been patiently waiting to read this ARC, I seriously couldn't put it down! Transfixed for the next page turn of thrilling suspense that keeps you hooked! Was 100% worth the anticipation.
Priest, our dark assassin MMC. A dangerous, psychotic, obsessive, made man. Born in a sovereign of brutality of blood, suits, control and political corruption. Broken by his own bloodline and made a killing machine.
Arlo our FMC is a tough, fierce, smart mouthed firecracker of a women, who has been a running survivor her entire life. Caught between her father's past, and a man who's sunk his teeth in and won't let her go! She's his new obsession.
I loved the banter between some of the characters! Even through the most traumatic experience, emotional or physical, light shines blurred lines of humanity.

ARC Review🖤
Holy hell. Saige Parker is a new-to-me author, and after this, I am officially obsessed. This book is dark, intense, and incredibly well-written. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time-I actually had to take a few "breather" breaks! 🥵
This isn't a redemption story; it's a descent into madness and control. Priest is terrifying, and by the end, I was questioning my own sanity for loving him so much. He totally melted me. Also, the spitting... it’s a micro-trope I’m obsessed with (sorry, Mom! 💀).
I also really need a book for Raze next! If he’s anything like Priest, I’m in trouble.

Title: Made for Death by Saige Parker
ARC Provided By: Author Saige Parker
Expected Release Date: 01|31|2026
Genre: Pitch Black Romance
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Main Characters: Priest + Arlo
Book Type: Standalone + Interconnected Series
Triggers: Over 30+ ⚠️

When you open this book, you’re entering a new world; you’ll meet the Sovereigns most unhinged, sadistic men you’ll ever find and they do not give you mercy. They are pitch black and in this world, and you’ll be eaten alive if you’re weak.

Following this story, you’ll meet Priest. He’s mentally unstable and will slit you from ass to mouth in seconds just for looking at him the wrong way. When I say he’s sadistic, I mean it. He takes what he wants, when he wants and he answers to no one. There’s no world where he’s remotely redeemable…or is there?

You’ll also meet Arlo; a badass, mouthy, feisty girl who doesn’t cower to no man, except…him, Priest. And even then, she’s giving him hell until the end. When I say he takes from her, I mean he TAKES. No matter where, who’s watching, it doesn’t matter.

Slowly over time, his blackened heart softens to only her. Where she’s the only thing that can save him from becoming more brutal than the day before. She grounds him, even through hate, fear, tears, bruises or anything else, she helps him fight his demons.

This book was 6⭐️ for me and I’ll scream it from the rooftops. Hands down, my first and favorite pitch black assassin romance book. I seriously beg you to add this to your TBR. You’re not going to regret it. I can NOT wait to read the next books she has planned in this series. I’m literally obsessed 🖤

Did somebody say Stockholm syndrome on steroids? Not even steroids, it has to be some sort of crack, heroine, amphetamine mixture. Because wtfffff is going on here???

I’m going to preface this by saying that this book is not for everyone and I mean it. This book is dark darkkkkk romance and extremely sick. However, I’m not going to yuck someone else’s yum and I’m glad I finished it. It just wasn’t 100% for me. If I was into pitch black romance then I’d be all over it but I’m not and this book hasn’t fully converted me… YET 😂

I’m into ‘he’s a homicidal maniac to everyone but her’ & this book wasn’t that. It was ‘he’s a homicidal maniac to everyone but especially her’. Priest is a demon through and through and honestly, I kept waiting for the FMC Arlo to kill herself to get away from him 😖. Also, she’s only 19 years old…

This book was enemies to??? I don’t even know ffs. There was a part in the book where I thought we were making progress and I could somehow justify Priest’s behaviour towards Arlo but that was VERY short lived 😂. I was still hooked though for some sick reason that I don’t want to unpack thank you!

Sometimes you need something that isn’t fluffy to devour and this delivered. I was so close to dnf’ing after the first 20 pages but i had to give it a chance

The plot?? ATE IT UP

The romance? Scary as fuq and the thing nightmares are made of

Thank you Saige for sending me this ARC! This won’t be the last Saige book I read

This is unhinged, filthy and murderous. Everything you want in a dark romance. But if dark romance isn’t your thing, you won’t like the ✨darker✨ aspects of this book. Personally, I like it bc it’s a dark romance, otherwise it’s a big no in any other type of book 🙈

I was entertained the whole time and I liked that Arlo was a bit crazy as well lol, especially that she didn’t hesitate to go stabby 🤭

Anyway, Priest was a crazy, unapologetic and controlling. Just how we like them 🖤 he definitely had his moments where his human parts shone through. I kinda wish we could have seen more of those, just because I love to see when the monsters realize there is more to the world than them 🤭

Thank you to the author/publisher for the advance copy. All opinions are my own.

DNF / Skimmed to the end. (ARC Review)

"Priest Carmichael is the embodiment of [edge-lord] pitch-black: cruel, vicious, violent, [to the point of becoming a caricature] and irredeemable [cringeworthy]. He was built to destroy, [your patience] and he likes it that way. He takes without asking, breaks without apology, and punishes without reason. He is a sadist, a bully, a nightmare, [Pick me, I'm So Dark] and he was written to make your skin crawl, your stomach turn, [but not in the way the writer hoped] and your mind question why the hell you [are still reading this] still want him.
This is not a redemption story [although it totally is]. This is a descent [into a masterclass of tell-not-show]. And Priest will drag you down with him [one exposition dump and cringey inner monologue at a time]."

I went in fully prepared for a dark, twisted ride, but the dark themes weren't the problem here—the execution was. The unoriginal plot, basic writing, clunky dialogue, and cartoonish action scenes completely killed my immersion. I wanted to DNF from the very beginning, but I forced myself to skim to the end hoping for an unpredictable twist. It never came.

Top reasons why this book was a massive disappointment:
The Action Scenes are Slapstick Comedy: The plot armor is thicker than a tank. In chapter 3, our 5'1" , untrained FMC manages to flawlessly pickpocket the car keys out of the 6'6" elite master-assassin MMC's pocket... while he is actively strangling her and her vision is going black. The "terrifying" MMC then stops choking her because a henchman interrupts him to take a phone call. He simply tells his captive to "stay put" and walks away. Naturally, she walks right out the door, uses her stolen keys to hop into his obnoxiously lifted monster truck, and discovers the backseat is loaded with enough weapons to start a war.
The "As You Know, Bob" Info-Dumps: The author regularly pauses high-stakes action scenes to drop Wikipedia-style lore summaries into the character's internal thoughts. For example, right after a chaotic car chase while Arlo is bleeding out in the backseat, Priest pauses to narrate the entire geopolitical structure of their organization: "The Sovereign. We’re not just feared. We’re a nightmare with a pulse... Split into five global sections: North, East Coast, West Coast, South, and Europe. Each ruled by a High Chancellor...". It completely kills the pacing.
The Edgelord 'Tell, Not Show' Olympics: The characters are just tropes in a trenchcoat. We are constantly subjected to Priest's internal brooding about how he's a monster born in hell. It reaches the point of parody when, at a formal dinner, he randomly boasts to a senator about performing a Viking "blood eagle" torture method at nine years old.
The Repetitive Internal Angst: He constantly narrates his lack of humanity instead of letting his actions show it. "I don’t feel adrenaline. I don’t feel shit. Just the void of a man born in hell, raised on violence, built to destroy". Or later: "I am a monster. Born for this. Built for this". We get it, you're bad!
The Predatory Ick Factor: Personally, I found the dynamic between the MCs deeply uncomfortable. He is a massive 29-year-old man who constantly refers to the tiny, 19-year-old virgin FMC as "little girl" and "kitten". His internal monologue is entirely fixated on "ruining" her innocence. It didn't read as dark and sexy; it just felt infantilizing and creepy. I won't even get into the spice, but honestly, I've read much better execution and chemistry on AO3.
The "Googled the Trope" spoon-feed: Instead of organically showing the FMC struggling with her complex feelings of arousal and fear, the author literally has her pull out her phone and Google the psychological definition of the book's trope: "Why do I like forced sex? Why did I enjoy being used? Am I messed up?".
The "Punchline" Commentary: The author then has Arlo read the exact thesis statement of the dark romance genre: "Words leap out at me: fantasy, trauma response, control, CNC, consensual non-consent" "It's not about wanting to be hurt. It's about surrendering without guilt. About letting go of control in a world that demands you hold onto it". She is spoon-feeding the reader the psychological justification instead of letting the story speak for itself.
The Absurd Ending: The book explicitly promises not to be a redemption story... but guess what? They get married and Priest takes over the Sovereign to do things his way. But the absolute peak of cringeworthy writing happens in the epilogue. The MMC literally amputates the main villain's leg and keeps him locked in a basement so that his unborn twin babies can murder him for their 7th birthday.

My rating: 5 Eye Rolls: 💀 "Do Not Resuscitate"
This book is a crime against literature and it has murdered me.

ARC read. 📚 5 ⭐️ For anyone who has a weakness for pitch-black boys with mental health issues, who happen to be incredibly hot and good with guns.. this is for you! But don’t expect him to go all soft, because he won’t. I couldn’t put the book down, read it in 12 hours, which I think is the biggest compliment and basically says it all. It made me question my sanity and moral compass, of course, but it also made me tear up.. so totally worth it. Bravo, Saige. 👏🏻

“And you, kitten, are going to bleed so f*cking pretty for me.”

“I’m under your skin now. You’ll never claw me out.”

Made for Death
Advanced Readers Copy was sent to me by the author , Saige Parker .

" You taste like a fucking problem . "
As soon as this book started , I couldn't put it down . The plot is incredible , packed with fast-paced action , thrilling suspense , twists and turns . It is emotionally devastating and will have you grab and pull at your hair and sometimes may have your stomach twist.
The MMC is unapologetically brutal , unhinged and obsessed with her . He's crawled out of hell . " Built like a god of death , the fucking devil . " She's a strong , fierce , badass FMC , who has learned to fight and survive . You will also end up having soft spots for the other characters.
I will be waiting for a signed physical copy 🤌🏼I strongly suggest you read all of the 29 TW⚠️ before you commit to this one because IT IS heavy.
I also would like to thank Saige for letting me be part of her ARC team , I feel incredibly privileged and will be reading anything she writes from now on.✨❤️‍🔥

I wanted to like this book. I really did.
Except instead I kept on having such a visceral look of disgust on my face that I had to stop reading it.

Arlo could’ve been such a cool character. A badass. But all she was in the end was a disappointment.

And priest, firstly, fuck his stupid fucking name.
Secondly, cry me a fucking river. Ooh I went through bad things so now I feel nothing. Nothing ever made me feel anything before Arlo. Boo fucking hoo. Grow a pair.

The Sovereign just keeps spinning those lies 🪙

A, just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and ran into a force she didn’t anticipate. She has been running and hiding, seeking work wherever she lands, keeping her secret close. But trouble seems to find her or should I say Priest and let’s just say ‘he’s not ok’ 🤣🤣I’m not going into detail simply because this story is too deep for me to do it justice 🤯🖤

ᖴIGᑌᖇEᔕ TᕼE Oᒪᗪ ᗰᗩᑎ ᖴIᑎᗩᒪᒪY GᖇEᗯ ᗩ ᔕᑭIᑎE ᗩᑎᗪ ᗩIᗰEᗪ IT ᗩT ᗰE.

Saige has the ability to ensure you don’t get any sleep 🤣first, you are held hostage to the pages then the story plays on and on in your head! Her penchant for writing a pitch MMC is like marmite you either love him or hate him…I’m still on the fence with this one 😬I loved A, her ability to attempt to fight in situations most would give up. The writing is amazing to the point you feel you are involved in a movie scene playing in your head, the emotions are real. If you’ve read any of Saige’s books you will know how deep they go and NGL I am there for it. I will say right here and now, read the triggers if you have any, there are scenes readers may find distressing‼️Or just dive straight in, as always the choice is your own 😈

”Because she’s the only thing that stops the screaming in my skull. The need to destroy everything I see. And I’m the only thing that silences the pain in her. What a fucking disaster. A curse. My curse.”

“You’re under my skin, in my head. You’re every bad thing I am, and every good thing I’ll never get to be. I can’t fucking breathe without you.”

When I say this is one of the best pitch black mmc dark romances I’ve read👏🏾. Then add on the assassin/mafia-esque plot line and I’m sold. When people say read your trigger warnings it’s def for books like this.

The way I was pulled into Priest mind so quickly. I continuously wanted to learn his backstory and why he is the way he is. He was such a complex character; especially towards the end. Then we have this strong wielded fmc that I loved. Was Arlo physically kinda weak? Well…yes lol, but mentally she never gave up and always spoke her mind and I love that in a fmc.

I think the only reason it’s not fully 5 stars is because I would’ve loved more development to their eventual romance. Most of their build up is just continuous smut until they realize they’re drawn to one another. Now I’ll never complain about smut I’m just a girl🙃 but I do wish we had some more scenes with them just talking to build the connection more imo.

And to miss author you owe me compensation for my therapy bill for Raze and I’ll leave it at that😭😪.

“She’s mine. To fuck, to ruin, to destroy. Completely. “

Made for Death by Saige Parker is the kind of book that sinks its teeth into you. If you devoured Leave Me Behind by K. M. Moronova and found yourself craving something even darker, even more unhinged, even more “I should not be enjoying this but I absolutely am”… then congratulations you’ve found your next obsession.

And the MMC? Oh, he’s not morally grey. He’s not even morally black. He is morally pitch black, a void in human shape, the kind of man who makes you question your own sanity for wanting to follow him deeper into the dark.

I got my hands on this ARC early and devoured it in one breathless, feral 24‑hour binge 😉 Do yourself a favour and mark your calendars January 31st. You’re going to want to let this one sink its claws into you the second it drops. Please check the trigger warnings for this 💀

I couldn't decide if I should rate this book a 4.5 or a 4.75 or a 5 star. So I just went with a 5 star.

When I finished reading this book I looked into the invisible camera and just kind of stared into the abyss. Once I finished reading this book, I was just like "I need to go touch grass". I need to go touch grass because it felt like to me I lived 25 lives in the span of the time it took me to read this book.

The plot was plotting the spice was spicing. It really felt like I was playing this action movie in my head that had romance also as a plot in it. The description of every single actioned-packed scene was so well written, that I could actually just see it play in my head thoroughly.

The only criticism that I would say was that sometimes I didn't really understand the chemistry between the main female character and the main male character.

Overall, a time was had. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm trying to figure out who is going to be the next sovereign. I don't know if it's going to be Raze or Arsen or maybe even Wollf.

ARC Read: Saige is creating a badass Sovereign Assassin Universe and I’m so here for it. From the very beginning you are pulled back into the chaos and it’s Priest turn. And he’s just as unhinged as Axe. You learn his back story and it really breaks your heart the way he was raised and I’m not even sure that’s the right word; maybe more like how he survived. They broke him every way at such a young age you understand why he is the way he is. The irredeemable and the unlovable that you end up falling for.
I love how Saige creates strong FMC’s. You definitely have to be to survive these men.
I loved Arlo from the beginning. A beautifully broken soul that still somehow had a heart after all the crap she’s been through in life and the feeling of being so alone. You really started to understand why she was so at war with her feelings and the things she liked and hated all mixed into one.
The betrayal, violence, only thing to do is burn it all to ash!

I can’t wait to see whose story is next.

I received the book arc from the author.

Before the book review I want to preface that her writing was very good and the book is fast paced keeps you interested the entire time and creates a very dark intriguing world.

My problems with it are mostly about the characters. Where do I begin? Priest is...DURING THE ENTIRETY OF THE BOOK BUTSHIT CRAZY! Raze...I wanted to punch him! And poor A...I felt so much for her....but at a certain point I wanted her to stop running and spit Priest in the face! The Raze participation in the sex scenes? F that a-hole!
I was at my ropes end at the vomit forest scene. BUT THE REMARKS OF PRIEST ABOUT MAKING HIS KIDS KILL HIS PIECE OF SHIT FATHER?!??!
F no... you want them to become like you?
That literally made my want to stab him in the eye...

This is my peace. My sanity. My sickness. My salvation. A perfect, broken paradox holding what’s left of me together.

Priest. Carmichael. Is. Unhinged.
I repeat: UN-HINGED.

Man...Monster...Who knows?

Made for Death - don't lie

When it comes to dark - and I mean all definition of the word DARK - there is no one like Priest.

I have never cared about anything more in my entire fucking life than I do you

And let's not leave out our FMC behind because Arlo Veronin is one mouthy, takes a lot of sh*t, never backs down kinda chick.

“I’m going to kill you, Priest.”
“Good. Make it hurt.”

These two are beyond broken, beyond mending, beyond the realm of possibility of having a "normal" life. But that's what makes uniquely made for each other.

Crazy keeps crazy sane.

Made for Death - look at you

I’d rather bleed beside you than breathe without you. So if you’re going to ruin me, then ruin me.

And just like our first books in this series, there's always that side character that catches my eye, that makes me want to know more about them. So much more. And Raze would be that guy. Will he be getting his own book? I hope so.

Made for Death - obsessed

We shall see where the rest of this series takes us. This is one ride I do not want to get off anytime soon.

“You’re under my skin, in my head. You’re every bad thing I am, and every good thing I’ll never get to be. I can’t f*cking breathe without you.”

March 18, 2026
I DNF’d this at 9% because:

(1) I wasn’t thrilled with where the story was going and felt uninterested in it.

(2) When I first picked it up, I thought it was a standalone. When I started reading, it felt like I was dropped into a story that had already started. I looked again and it says that it’s part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Judging by the way this one started, it seems like you probably want to read the other books.

(3) The main reason is I didn’t like the style of writing. I don’t know how to describe it other than to say the author uses those short, stunted sentences that do not have any flow. Here’s a few excerpts from the book (in the book, these are in one paragraph, but I separated each sentence so you can see what I mean):

It’s the only place that makes this miserable fucking life worth something.
The elevator dings.
I punch the button for the upper floor.
The mint gum between my teeth is dead.
All that’s left is the bitter aftertaste of adrenaline and someone else’s blood.
I need a goddamn shower.
And a fuck.

We step into the High Chancellor’s office.
The last place I want to fucking be.
Polished oak floors.
Leather chairs.
The whole place reeks of power and cowardice.
The kind that hides behind influence, not violence.
Sterling doesn’t look up.
He’s too busy scribbling in that leather-bound journal of his.
Perfect fucking calligraphy.
The man used to bleed like the rest of us.
At least that’s what the stories say.
I never saw it myself.
Over the years, he’s turned soft.
Not weaker.
Just…sleeker.
He’s not a Sovereign anymore.
He’s a politician in a custom suit.

I’m not saying don’t read it, just saying it’s not for me.

ARC received for an honest review. Reader sanity not included.😌 4.5⭐️

Let’s get one thing straight: if you skip the trigger warnings for this book, that’s on you. I went in cocky, thinking “how dark can this really get?” and then Priest showed up and bitch slapped my expectations straight into the abyss. This man isn’t just morally grey, he’s the fucking black hole at the centre of your emotional galaxy. If there’s a color darker than pitch black, that’s where Priest is currently setting up camp, probably tearing a man's throat out, because " He looked at him wrong" 😄
I’m not easily bothered, but damn, this book made me question myself right alongside the FMC. Priest is violent, twisted, unhinged, and somehow you end up craving him through the pain, the humiliation, the utter chaos he drags you through.
This book is dark as hell and endlessly fascinating. If there’s one thing I’d nitpick, it’s this: I needed a better balance between plot and steam. I knoooow it usually comes with the territory in this genre, but a girl can have preferences, right? I mean, sure, it was hot, but sometimes I wanted action that didn’t just involve a bed (or a wall… or a sofa… you get the idea 😌😉). Give me more revenge, more high-stakes chaos, more of that “I will burn the world for you” energy. The scene where Priest goes after A’s necklace? Absolute perfection. That’s the darkness I signed up for. Gimme that all day.
If you’re looking for sunshine and rainbows, run. If you want to be emotionally waterboarded by a book and fall for a man who puts the “daddy” in “dangerous,” Made for Death will drag you through the dark, chew you up, spit you out and still leave you thirsty for more and you’ll thank it. Read the fucking warnings, and welcome to hell, babe. 🍷

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars

There is no easy way through Made for Death—and that’s exactly what makes it unforgettable.

This book is dark. It is brutal. It is torture wrapped in degradation, humiliation, and absolute loss of control. Saige Parker does not soften a single blow, and I wouldn’t want her to. From the first page, this story grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go.

Priest is the kind of darkness you hope you never encounter. He doesn’t just break you—he owns you. He consumes, destroys, and leaves no part of you untouched. He is terrifying, intoxicating, and impossible to look away from. If you think you’re prepared for him, you’re not.

I could not put this book down. Every chapter pulled me deeper, no matter how uncomfortable it made me feel—and it made me feel everything. I’m so grateful I had the chance to read this as an ARC before release, because this story is going to leave a mark on readers.

For my pitch black baddies: you need to experience Priest for yourself. Just be warned—once you step into this darkness, there’s no turning back. 🖤🔥

5⭐️4🌶️ - Pitch black Dark Romance

🔪PITCH BLACK
🔪Villain MMC
🔪Stabby, badass FMC
🔪Enemies to lovers
🔪Non-con/CNC
🔪Secret society

WHAT. IN. THE. F*CKERY. WAS. THAT. Because I need 10 more. That was pitch black PERFECTION.

Please, do not go into this book without looking at the triggers. This is DARK, and not just the themes, but the relationship.

Staying in the world of assassins, Saige introduces us to Preist. I didn't think we could get darker than our boy Axil, but I was oh. so. wrong. Preist is defiant, crazy, insane, holds NO morals, dark, gives no fcks - oh and did I mention he's the best of the best? Arlo is out for the secret society. She strong, badass, single minded and well... a little crazy too. Preist's perfect match.

Full of twists and turns that will have you swinging from hating everyone to loving everyone, back to loathing all while gripping your seats. This is an absolute MUST for pitch black dark romance lovers.

A massive thank you to Saige Parker for trusting me with an ARC of Made for Death in exchage for my honest review.

My first ARC! 🤩

‼️ PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!! ‼️

Priest is definitely one of the more morally black men I’ve come across. Boundaries don’t exist, and neither do safe words. But the story was entertaining and kept me interested enough to keep reading.

If you like your fmcs that try to fight but are always lowkey defenseless, this is for you.
Every time they’re together, he cracks her head against a hard surface, chokes her out, and/or makes her bleed (gunshot, stab wound, cuts, penetration with no lube, etc). I’m seriously concerned for her brain health at this point and can only hope she has superhuman regenerative hemoglobin powers.

Priest does whatever the hell he wants to her and she fights him at every turn. He’s a callous and unforgiving bastard; the morally black part really shined when he would NEVER take no for an answer.

BUT he does get her bite mark tattooed on him so he always has a permanent part of her on him wherever he goes. Ugh, so sentimental. 🥰
