I knew moving to New York would be hard. Being the only female in a male-dominated career, even harder. And when I have to follow the most popular bachelor in the city for one photo to secure my rent, the last thing I expected was for him to become obsessed with me.
Rowan Harper
My heaven, Celeste Jones. She believes everything she reads on the internet about me, but I’ll prove to her that it’s all wrong. She is the only one I care to show my true self to. She infused herself into the dark matter of my brain while I was in the middle of searching for my missing mother.
There is no line in my world that I won’t cross to find my mother, and now, there is no line I won’t cross for Celeste Jones.
Amaia Denise is an Arizona native. Her friends and family mean the world to her. Outside of writing, she loves reading, watching movies, playing video games, and running with her Husky. If you ever have a hard time pronouncing her name, just think Uh-My-Uh.
I enjoyed the story of Celeste and Rowan. The story was fast paced and filled with mystery and a bit of humor. The first met was pretty awkward but funny.
Rowan was definitely a bit of a morally questionable character. He is on a mission to find his missing mother. The are no holds barred. He also has the same energy when it comes to Celeste. There is nothing that he won’t do; kill, maim or threaten. Yet he also has a good side that protects women or those presumed weaker. She is the one who calms his soul. His Heaven.
Celeste is a very good character. She is big on the grumpy side. A struggling artist with a side job that she hates. She is not the best paparazzi. She doesn’t make it easy for Rowan. After the crazy first meeting, she doesn’t trust him but finds him attractive. She is cautious.
I loved the side characters they added humor and lightened the dark parts of the humor. I am very interested in the next installment to get their story.
I do feel that the ending was rushed. Everything wrapped up pretty quickly.
A dark romance with a kind of ironic twist, that I absolutely loved! It’s an artist freelancing as paparazzi trying to get one good shot of a playboy billionaire who never really shows his face on camera that has the tables turned when her target literally captures her when she sneaks onto his property and then, let the stalking and obsession begin. Rowan is totally obsessed with Celeste from the second he sees her and he is so much more than what the public thinks with a vigilante dark side and a search for the truth that ends up putting Celeste in danger, ties him to the mafia, and ups his body count by a good dozen or so and it’s intriguing, spicy, and fun. There’s snark and wit, plenty of alphahole protectiveness and possessiveness, the right amount of sweet, and Rowan’s give her the world hits perfectly. A great read that keeps you invested.
If you enjoy dark romance (though this is lighter than most) and/or mafia or stalker romance, this might be for you. This was a super quick, easy read with a nice balance of plot, action, and romance.
I really liked the FMC—she genuinely feels her age and has a spunky, believable attitude. The romance itself was enjoyable, but I think I needed to see more development between the characters to fully believe it. It leaned more toward insta-love than I prefer.
That said, I still had a good time with this book. There were a few laugh-out-loud moments, along with some sweet, vulnerable scenes that worked well emotionally. There is spice and adult themes, but the scenes are short and easy to skip without losing the overall plot.
I was hooked from the very first chapter and couldn’t put this book down. Celese and Rowan’s story is intense, emotional, and full of mystery. I loved seeing both of their perspectives, especially Rowan’s search for his missing mother and how his growing connection with Celese changed him. She sees him as a party boy but hes so much more.
The chemistry between them kept me turning pages, and the tension throughout the story made it impossible to stop at just one chapter. The characters felt well developed, and the plot stayed engaging from beginning to end.
This book pulled me in emotionally and left me wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and see what happens next eek!!

What can I say? The stalker, romance vibe is vibing. I seriously loved this book. It wasn’t too crazy in the explicit scenes, to me it was just enough to give the intimacy in the romance. I loved Celeste and Rowan. They were fun characters to picture as the story unfolded. There was so much about this book that I could relate to on the “feelings” level. The relationships that were built throughout the book is what I related to. The love between Rowan and Celeste , to the relationship between Celeste and Lily, I seriously couldn’t get enough of it. While it was a quicker read I enjoyed it on so many levels.
What can we say? We clearly have a thing for stalkers 😏
This story follows a struggling artist turned paparazzi and the most eligible bachelor who can’t seem to escape the headlines. But not everything is as it seems… appearances are deceiving, and the twists just keep coming.
Fast-paced, fun, and packed with just the right amount of chaos and “light” stalkerish behavior, this book is a quick read that still hits all the feels. It’s the first in a series, and we can’t wait to see where this adventure goes next! 💫📚
Celeste is a struggling artist who is working as a paparazzi to make ends meet and she's really trying to get the best picture of Rowan the local everyone but her is obsessed with. He meets her one time and has completely distracted him from the search he has been working on for the past couple of years. So much so that his level of obsession is stalker-like and puts her in danger, and he will do anything to keep her safe from the dangers he has brought into her life including kidnapping her.

Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book. This was pretty good. It was different and something I don’t normally pick up. This is a new-to-me author as well. It was a quick read.
This is my first book by Amaia Denise and I loved it!! The storyline is based on Celeste and Rowan. Celeste is a paparazzi photographer and tries to take a photo of Rowan, a playboy billionaire. Celeste gets more than she bargained for with Rowan and a series of events occur that send these two on a crash course to each other. Rowan definitely gives off stalker vibes but in a vulnerable way. A great book, easily read.
Celeste and Rowan were great in this story. Celeste turned paparazzi and Rowan being the subject at the moment. He was so much more than the party boy everyone thought he was. He had spent years searching for his mother. This book was intense with sine suspense added in. I loved this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages needing to know more.
Finished this is one sitting! It was a good quick read. Rowan and celeste were fun to read about and their relationship. The banter had me laughing at times especially during the beginning of the book. The plot was easy to follow and was enjoyable and entertaining. Def a nice read if you’re looking for something fast and interesting to read 🖤
