Jericho James is back for another hilarious and spicy cryptid romcom!

Supernatural Investigator Jericho James has a problem, and it's not the latest case she's working. Jericho can't shake the feeling that she's being watched. By the trees. Which is honestly not as improbable as the Bigfoot sightings reported in the area. After all, not every legend is real.

But there is something hidden in the woods. Something big, something strong, something…incredibly sexy. And Jericho vows to find it before it finds her.

Something BIG is coming September 2026.

Bigfoot Confidential isn’t the kind of book I normally gravitate toward, but somehow everything just worked. Jasmine Kuliasha blends cryptids, humor, mystery, and heart into a story that completely won me over.

Jericho James immediately reminded me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer with her sassy quips, witty inner monologues, and the wonderfully campy energy she brings to every investigation. She was so easy to root for, and following her latest case was an absolute delight.

I also loved the monsters Kuliasha chose to feature throughout the story. They were creative, memorable, and I especially enjoyed the lore woven into several of them. It made the world feel richer and left me wanting to learn about even more cryptids.

More than anything, this book was just plain fun. It’s cozy without losing its sense of adventure, funny without trying too hard, and exactly the kind of story I needed. Maybe it was my mood, but every time I picked it up, I can feel my mood lighten up instantly.

Do you need to read The Midnight Pack first? Maybe. This is a brand-new case with a mostly new cast of characters, so it works well on its own. But if you want a better understanding of Jericho James’ special abilities and how everything works, I’d recommend starting with The Midnight Pack.

If you’re looking for a lighthearted supernatural mystery with lovable characters, creative cryptids, and plenty of charm, I’d definitely recommend giving Bigfoot Confidential a chance.

When you’re in the mood for a fun, light-hearted adventure, look no further!! I had a great time with the The Midnight Pack, and an even better time with Bigfoot Confidential. I have to say I felt more connected to both the plot as well as Jericho’s character and interiority in this one.

The writing itself is a joy to read because both Jasmine and her FMC are unabashedly authentically themselves (as they very well should be), leaning into the unfiltered thoughts and curiosities that might go on in a person’s head instead of shying away (as Jericho says, “inquiring minds want to know” and I definitely do.) These inner monologues really made this book for me—what I wouldn’t give to channel JJ’s confidence and optimism.

I especially recommend Jasmine’s writing style for fans of T. Kingfisher. Jasmine’s sense of humor is uniquely her own but she approaches the absurd in a similar way.

I must admit: I have not once in my life thought about Bigfoot before discovering this book was in the works. In light of that, I was not expecting to find them as adorable as I did and loved the lore.

Also, the comparison between Jack and a certain someone pretty much guaranteed I was going to like him (read and find out!).

Oh, and a shoutout to the old lady outside the elevator with her tiny dog. I want to be her when I grow up.

Thank you Jasmine Kuliasha and NetGalley for this ARC.

Thank you, Netgalley, and Jasmine for the ARC!

I had no idea what to expect from this book, but all the laughter (I was literally laughing out loud) and Bigfoot spice were definitely not what I anticipated....and I loved it.

This felt like the perfect read for Twilight lovers like myself who are looking for something lighter, sillier, and a little unhinged. It definitely leans more into comedy (think PNW rom-com vibes) than taking itself too seriously. Some of the action scenes were a little far-fetched for my usual taste, but once I embraced the comedic energy, it completely won me over.

Never did I think I'd be reading about a hairy, hot Bigfoot with golden retriever energy, yet here we are... and I absolutely loved how creative it was. Our FMC is such a baddie, but what I loved most was her inner dialogue. It felt so much more relatable than a lot of fantasy heroines I've read, and she had me laughing throughout. I genuinely felt like we'd be friends, and I love when a book makes me feel that way.

And you can never go wrong with a woodsy PNW setting. I loved reading about so many local places and mountains that felt familiar. Overall, this was such a fun, unique, and quick read!

A big thank you to NetGalley for the ARC! I was dying to get my hands on the second book as soon as possible.

What’s a word to describe feeling terrified and turned on all at once? That’s the word I’m looking for to describe this book. Bigfoot Confidential really cranked up the action in this sequel of Jericho James (and I mean bother versions of “action”). It’s a good thing I don’t wear cute nail polish like Jericho because this book had me biting my nails after every chapter from either spice or suspense! There’s also a healthy dash of comedic quips from our protagonist that had be audibly laughing out loud on the couch.

Jericho is bolder and sassier than ever trying to solve her latest case in the mountains of Washington where there are more than just men with big feet roaming around. I seriously want this woman to be real and be my best friend forever. She is a QUEEN!

I thought I knew where this story was going, but boy was I wrong. Kuliasha’s writing kept me second guessing all the way until the very end. There is so much packed into this book. I felt like I binged watched an entire tv series with how much the story twisted and turned.

This was such an enjoyable action-packed read and I already can’t wait for the 3rd book to come out!

WOW!! If you thought that The Midnight Pack was full of suspense, mystery, and excitement... triple that and then you'll get the levels of suspense, mystery, and excitement in Bigfoot Confidential! There are a few elements to Jasmine's writing that I absolutely love, that are consistent in both books:

1. Jericho's inner monologue - HILARIOUS
2. The amount of real-life awkward moments - LOVE
3. The element of Found Family - it is so endearing.

Jasmine has a way of taking these "unbelievable" paranormal creatures and making them real to the reader, which is truly a gift. This book was so fun to read. If you love paranormal suspense/mystery, some romance sprinkled in, found family, and adventure... This one is for you!

*I would like to include, if you are sensitive to any small elements of "scary" things, just be warned that it does get a LITTLE BIT scary at the end... however, I am a self-declared scaredy cat and I survived to live another day after finishing it and loved it!

The first Jericho James installment was a shot of joy straight to the veins. This one? Well, Jasmine Kuliasha found the secret sauce for a banger sequel and double dipped.

In book 2 the case is weirder, the suspects wilder, and the spice much spicier (like I said, *banger*). In short, I loved it. Let me count the ways:
✔️cackle-in-public humor
✔️fascinating cryptid lore
✔️simmering romance
✔️side characters worth going to war for

Bigfoot Confidential is a truly delightful ride from start to finish. For those who love the vibe of Supernatural, Buffy, and the episodic monster-of-the-week goodness found in X-files, this series will feel like coming home.

Absolutely recommend and can’t wait to see what kind of pun-slinging, axe-wielding, shifter-kissing shenanigans Jericho will be up to in book 3!

Jericho James is back in action! This time aided by her newly enhanced abilities, and aided by the sexiest of Bigfoots, she's burning a terrifying new creature in Washington state. The mysteries and monsters, spice and snark keep coming and coming strong in this one. ;) Jericho continues to be strong, resourceful, and determined, to find the bad guys, save her own ass from the trouble she gets herself in, and carve her own path forward.

Readers of the first book will not be disappointed to be sure, and you could even pick it up as a standalone and easily follow it. Jack was a delightful cinnamon role, and the new pack are an intriguing addition, too. Can't wait to see what's up next for Jericho!

ARC review 🪓

Oh, Jericho, I’ve missed you girlfriend 🤣 this book was magical, not because there’s literal supernatural creatures and enhanced abilities, but because of the pure joy it is to read Jasmines writing. The pacing is perfect, the characters are endearing, the setting is such a VIBE, and it’s laugh out loud funny. Jericho James is nothing if not a complete badass and incredibly relatable. I couldn’t get enough.

And Jack is exactly the Sasquatch we all needed. I loved his golden retriever energy and his chemistry with Jericho was off the charts. If you need me, I’ll be trekking the woods of Washington trying to relive this experience 🤣

Thanks so much for letting me read, Jasmine. This was excellent 🤍

I really enjoyed this book, but I especially wanted to comment on the opening because it was phenomenal. It hooked me instantly and is one of the strongest openings I've read in a long time. The chase, the river, it was all so cleverly written. The dialogue felt natural, the banter between the characters was spot on, and the pacing was perfect. While I enjoyed the entire book, it was the opening sequence that really stood out. It was original, exciting, and had me completely invested from the very first page. I honestly found myself wishing I could step into that world because it was so much fun to experience than the day id had at work

Stepped outside my usual genres for this one and so glad I did! This book is sharp, nerdy, and somehow lighthearted in the face of high stakes. I love the badass woman archetype, the “whodunnit” plot, the multicultural folklore, and the suspense!! Several scenes near the end get your heart pumping in the best way. I can see it as a tv show like buffy or supernatural. Definitely worth the read, i think it would be fun to listen to with your spouse on a road trip or solo on the beach.
