“Fill us overflowing, O Father! Penetrate our spirits!”
Succubus Tara thinks somebody ought to answer those fervent prayers. The devout have so much to give, after all—repressed desire bottled up and fermented for her pleasure.
Particularly irresistible is evangelical pastor Joseph, who claims to be a beacon of purity but secretly craves the shame and humiliation he preaches.
With the help of her lover Dani, Tara is happy to indulge Joseph’s desire for seduction, sin, and sacrilege–with a holy twist. The good father has ever been generous to pour out his blessings on his faithful, after all. Tara’s quick wit keeps pace with Joseph’s rationalizations, encouraging him to open his mind–and orifices.
But if Joseph figures out that his new epiphanies aren’t heaven-sent, he needs only to perform a simple exorcism to send Tara tumbling back to Hell.
THOU SHALT NOT STALKED BY THE SUCCUBUS is a psycho-s3xual horror comedy novel (70k words) that features gleeful sacrilege, violent sapphic love, and deviant desire. Which is more unsettling? A succubus’s seduction? Or the lengths a ‘godly’ man will go to in rationalizing his repressions?
Adeline Alchemy (she/they) writes creepy-cozy spicy horror for those who like their monsters spiky, sticky, and seductive. There’s usually a happy ending–for the monster, that is.
When she’s not daydreaming about squishy tentacles or dripping maws, she enjoys collecting bugs and watching nature documentaries for all the wrong reasons.
She also writes sweet and spicy monster romance as Bethany Baker.
"I might break your mind ... That is, if there’s anything left to break." — Tara. 💚 Succubus couple and a pastor 💚 She corrupted him ... And he surrendered easily 💚 Third person POV 💚 She can shapeshift into anything! 💚 Religious stuff but make it kinky 💚 Will make you laugh and then pray for the Lord’s mercy 💚 She stalks him like, everywhere. When a book about a succubus starts the smut in chapter two, what did you expect? Porn, my friends. Just ✨ porn ✨ You’d be lying if you said you read books like Thou Shalt Not Spill for the plot, and you will be disappointed, because there’s like 10% plot. This book is basically Pornhub printed on paper 😂 It adds a ton of detailed kinks you can think of, wild imagination including futa, "angelic" enlightenment (😏), and very creative religious satire that would make your grandma gasp and splash you and your Kindle with holy water. It’s like Maneater, but longer and more dirtier. Sinful. Delicious. If Elle in Maneater is a soft domme who always respects Shane’s consent, Tara, the FMC here, is unapologetic. She revels in her power and preys on people’s vulnerabilities. She takes what she wants not only from Joseph, the MMC, but also from other men and doesn’t even feel guilty about it. In fact, she’s hungry for more. She calls it curiosity, and at the beginning that’s true, but in the end it’s clear what she really does is just satisfying her greed 😉 Many events in this book are borderline abusive. Calling Thou Shalt Not Spill full dub con is generous. Tara didn’t ask, and Joseph didn’t openly say yes. Is it sick? Yes. Did they both enjoy it? Also yes. Do I need help because I enjoyed it too? Yes, 1000x😬 The other female lead, Dani aka Tara’s gf breaks the dumb blonde stereotype by being more mature and cautious (at least compared to Tara 😭) But she’s written more like a side character??? She mostly pops up for spicy scenes with Tara. She did NOT engage with Joseph. Dani is 100% lesbian, which makes the book FFM rather than FMF. I wish we got more of Dani! Her past with Tara is only mentioned briefly. And while the sapphic stuff is there I was hoping for more ughhh, lesbian content? 😩 And for that, I blame Joseph. Joseph is the most pathetic MMC I’ve ever read ... In a funny way. Thou Shall Not Spill might as well not have had an MMC because Joseph never has control over the plot nor leads it anywhere. It’s all in Tara’s hands. He’s literally just there, breathing, being horny, and used by Tara as a toy until mmmm well, until the ending 💀 There's no character development for him!! He’s disgusting, hilariuos, but you can’t even hate him, bcs he’s just too pathetic to be hated. Oh, and at least he wears glasses. I love men with glasses 😋 Blame me. The ending, in my opinion, is a little confusing and made me question one or two things. But the scorching hot pegging scene made me forgive everything. And honestly, they weren’t even big questions. It wraps up nicely. Also, pegging is always sexy ☺️👌 So brace yourself. Enter at your own risk. Clutch your pearls if needed. Don’t tell your grandma. And join Tara as she introduces you to the world of the succubus. Amen.
So this was an interesting read to put it lightly. I love any book that adds a little extra spice to religious trauma and so this was pretty much a no brainer auto read for me. Plus add some sapphic women?? Cherry on top.
This was spicy from the get go to the very last page, which is exactly how I like it. I won't even try to name all kinks because this review would be pages long but I promise there is something (or multiple somethings) for everyone.
Though I loved this for the spice, I didn't love the characters half as much. They simply fell flat for me, and I lacked even so much as a care for them. Which was a shame to be just based on how intimately readers saw them.
As a reader, I'm open to read new books, b/c you never know it might turn into an unexpected surprise. I have tbh here, this one has left me on the fence with my thoughts and trying to process what I just read. Is it different? Yes. In more ways than one. There was a thin plot, it was there, however small, and I knew what the tropes were when I signed up to read it. This did involve degradation, wreaking havoc, and constant mind control to have a God complex and to be utterly worshipped. There was a ton, a ton of non-stop smut!! I wanted more than that.lol Even Joseph being a preacher didn't weird me out b/c he never acted like one. None of the characters acted right, which I guess was the point. It was a dark satire. I hope that makes sense.
🚩🚩 Read the TWs. There's soooo many things here that deal with an array of situations that might be triggering. This is definitely intended for adults.🚩🚩
There was a succubus and her girlfriend, in a long term relationship, Tara and Dani, who make a bet on a certain pastor named Joseph, who has a gutter pervy brain and thinks he was God's chosen. Shape shifter Tara can smell it and she wants to consume that energy, bathe in it, and tip Joseph over the edge with his deviance. Joseph was easily corrupted. I didn't like him. Not even a little. He was a puppet, Tara's mindless play thing.😂😂 He wanted every dark forbidden thing done, to feed his kinks with Tara aka Mary. Remember she can shape shift and become anyone. Be anywhere. She entered his dreams and whispered all kinds of blasphemy. As well as being in his company. Angel. Demon. Tara was calling the shots. It's supposed to be funny but I didn't laugh.🤷🏼♀️
Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of Dani being on the page. Don't get me wrong Tara's girlfriend, was there every now and then but I feel she fell by the way side as Tara's adventures continued with Joseph and the entire congregation for her own desires and ego boost to be holy. It was... weird. If you want to read it, by all means, you should. The writing was easy to follow but I got bored with the constant smut cycle. It wasn't for me. Sorry. Happy reading.*•>§<•*☠️☠️☠️
🪢🧇😈Thank you to Adeline Alchemy for an early book. The opinions shared here are my own.😈🧇🪢
Hoooly shit! (Pun semi-intended.) Thou Shalt Not Spill was honestly everything I hoped it would be. Funny, hot, queer, magical, twisted, blasphemous. This book just hit all the right notes for me.
I received an e-ARC for free via Booksprout. I am leaving a review voluntarily, and it is my honest opinion.
The premise intrigued me immediately, and the story kept me hooked throughout. While there were slower parts around the middle, I was always so curious how far Tara would take her experiment and where it would lead her that the book never got boring.
Speaking of. I looooved Tara. Such a fun and intriguing protagonist to follow around! The way the succubi were written here and the bits of lore/worldbuilding strewn in only added to that. I'm such a sucker for shapeshifting abilities, and this was shapeshifting galore. Dani was also really cool, and I loved her relationship with Tara. Even though she was present all throughout the book, I enjoyed their dynamic so much that I would have loved some more elaborate scenes of the two together, or more drawn-out glimpses at their past times together. Honestly, I would read prequels/spin-offs about these two throughout the ages in a HEARTBEAT.
Joseph and the variety of churchgoers (+ the few other side characters) were fun as well. Perfectly suited to the story and never boring.
Loved the writing style. Loved the humorous commentary and critique of puritanical Christian mindsets as well as toxic behavior. Loved the spice. Loved the blasphemy. LOOOOVED the ending. I just. Loved everything about this. So happy and grateful I got to ARC read this!! I highly recommend it if the premise and topics speak to you 🖤
This book offers an interesting and promising take on a succubus and how her existence, needs, and relationships work. The core concept is engaging: watching how she feeds, how she navigates consent and connection, and how all of this slowly develops into a romance is genuinely compelling. I also enjoyed the dynamic between her and her close friend, as well as how their roles intertwine with the romantic storyline. Plot-wise, the book works well. The idea itself is strong, and the way the supernatural elements are woven into the romance kept me turning pages. The romance feels earned, and the overall arc is satisfying. Where the book falls a bit short is in its character development—especially when it comes to side characters. While the main characters are reasonably well written and emotionally understandable, many of the side characters felt flat and overly stereotypical. They often seemed to exist only to fill a role rather than to feel like real people in the world. I understand that not every side character needs deep development, but here it sometimes felt like too little care was given to them. In some cases, I found myself thinking that it might have been better to leave certain characters out entirely rather than include them without much depth. Overall, this is a good book with a very engaging and creative plot. With more attention given to character development—particularly for the supporting cast—it could easily become a truly standout succubus romance. As it stands, it’s an enjoyable read with clear potential.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was hooked from the very first and the story kept my attention all the way through.
At first I was hesitant, because I'm not religious and anything with religion in it tends to bore me (regardless of where the author actually stands on it). Luckily that wasn't the case here. I've read some stuff that went so over the top with religion and kink that it felt goofy and somehow still felt like it was preaching at me. That didn't happen in this story! The way it was done here kept me invested, and I also liked how it critique some aspects of religion, too.
I really enjoyed discovering the plot the longer it went on. Among all the spice, there was a storyline going on, and I kept wondering how it would all end for Tara. Would she get too greedy and it'd backfire? Would someone find out? I was satisfied with how it all ended.
With that said, I liked learning more about Tara and Dnai's relationship and their backstory as succubus. They have a really loving relationship. There were times I was worried about their relationship as Tara went further into her plan with the preacher, Joseph. I wish there was just a little bit more of Dani in the story, as I found her presence calming and alluring whenever Tara spent time with her.
As mentioned earlier I liked learning about their backstory as succubus. Succubi in general are given a bit more history in this story and it was nice reading about that. They're not just one dimensional sexual creatures here. I think it would have been interesting to explore even more of their history here.
Overall I enjoyed this story for what it was. It had a lot of smut without it being boring, the plot kept me interested, and I liked reading about the characters, Tara and Dani.
This was a very fun read. I really do enjoy the authors, writing style and characters. I really enjoyed the depth that this author goes into when it comes to religious trauma and repression. I enjoy the sweet moments with Tara and Dani as well. I also really liked learning how the succubi in this world are portrayed and what their powers are like. I definitely recommend this book and this author.
Favorite Line 🌟 ‘He was right about one thing: his god did have a plan for him.One that would fulfill all his secret, twisted desires.Break me, he’d begged.A devious grin curved her lips. Oh, she most certainly would.’
I love the crew hunter series. Each book having romance and mystery with a twist of paranormal. This one had both the MC and the FMC with psychic abilities that helped them solve the mystery. I get sucked in each time even knowing the outcome I need to know why and to hear the banter between the mains.
A provocative over the top horror comedy that leans hard into sacrilege, repression, and psycho sexual chaos. It is bold and unapologetically dark with sharp satire woven through the supernatural premise.a very entertaining story if you’re in the mood for something outrageous.
Oh my goodness this was absolutely everything. From the deliberate dressing to the specific tailoring of each seduction, each moment of this was filled with wicked delight and tongue in cheek humor. Spicy and sinful. I had a blast watching these two succubi chase the Sunday lunch crowd
