About the author

Claire Adamou is an author and professional coach helping women rebuild their lives after divorce. Drawing on both her own lived experience and her professional coaching practice, she wrote Life After Divorce: From Surviving to Thriving as the guide she wished she'd had — part memoir, part practical toolkit for moving from surviving to thriving.

The book reached the Top 25 in Amazon UK's Divorce & Relationships category, resonating with readers who wanted honesty alongside actionable strategy.

Claire continues to coach women through this transition one-on-one, and writes and speaks about resilience, reinvention, and what "starting over" actually looks like in practice. She lives by the belief that divorce isn't the end of your story — it's a chance to rewrite it on your own terms.

I wish Claire had written this book a few years ago. It would have made my life that little bit easier to know that others have/are and will experience the emotions i went through and am still dealing with. During and post my divorce, I felt as though the world was against me, apart from my closest friends. I blamed myself for the marriage ending. With time, I’ve come to realise it wasn’t all on me, but I wish I’d had this book to help me see that sooner.
She writes with warmth and understanding, but she also gives you practical ways to start rebuilding your confidence and trusting yourself again. The parts about guilt and finding your own identity especially stayed with me.
It’s helped me talk more openly with my kids, too. They understand more now about what I was going through when I tried to hide my feelings from them, while also being careful not to turn them against their other parent.
If you’re struggling after a divorce, pick this up. I think (or at least i hope) you’ll feel a little less alone within a couple of chapters.

Life After Divorce by Claire Adamou is a truly honest and raw account of what Claire went through following her divorce. Alongside her personal story, she shares practical tips and guidance to help navigate a new “normal.” Some suggestions may resonate more than others, but the reassurance of knowing you’re not alone is deeply comforting. Drawing from her own experiences and her work as a life coach and speaker, Claire offers insight into rebuilding your life and pursuing your dreams. It’s an inspiring and relatable read.
