She spent the majority of her 20’s/30’s reading thrillers, but made the switch to romance when she picked up a book called ‘Dirty Letters’ and loved it and the authors so much, she went looking for more. Reading Indie Romance became her passion and she was inspired by these amazing authors and decided to put her writing hobby to the test.
A 'Happily Ever After' is always the goal for her characters, but there may be a cliffhanger or two, and definitely some angsty situations to work through, occasionally a little bit dark, but oh so delicious.

I am a sucker for a MC, and the Blackhawk Disciples did not disappoint!
Nero- club prez, broody asshole, good father, caring gentleman for his lady, son, and best friend….AND HES PIERCED 🥵. I don’t normally like when children are so involved in the story, but Oscar was sweet. And the relationship that Noah had with him made the whole plot better. I loved how good of a father was trying to keep Oscar away from club life and always safe. I loved Noah’s relationship with Jesse too. The banter between the two of them was fun to read.
Loved that Taylor immediately stepped up and stepped into the caretaker role with Oscar. Loved how much she cared about Jesse. And how she saved them both, and wasn’t timid about it. Loved the banter between her and Noah at first too. When she told him she loved him and he winked back…SWOON 😍
Will we ever get to find out which brother Jesse had a crush on? Why did Ghost hate Nero so much? What happened between them?
I felt like the last chapter was a little rushed, like it bounced around a little too much to keep track. I would have loved to get more of the story of her meeting Phoenix, did she get the tattoo? Did he get the tattoo? Did they end up moving in together? Is Jesse okay? Does Oscar ever get a real puppy?
This is my first Chris Reilly book, but definitely not my last. I am officially a fan. I can’t wait for the rest of the Blackhawk Disciples!

Chris, everytime I think I couldn't love your men more than the last, you sign a piece of my heart to the next.
Nero is an amazing book. I loved it! My only issue is that it ended 🤣🤣 I could have a 10 part series just about him and Taylor!
I loved that Garret and Pheonix made an appearance, which healed a little bit of the hole that was left when I finished that book.
I think Nero has been waiting for the one who understands him and what it means to be not only IN and MC but the President of one, and to love him anyway.
Taylor is a strong but vulnerable women dealing with her grief and I think Nero gives her the distraction so she doesn't spiral in it but also shows her comfort, safety and most of all, that she doesn't have to be alone.

Your books never fail to disappoint, Chris.
Nero by Chris Reilly is the first book in the Blackhawk Disciples MC series. It’s a gripping motorcycle club romance with an unexpected connection between Nero, the club president (real name Noah, which I love), and Taylor, Jessie’s nurse (Jessie is his right-hand man outside the MC). Their relationship definitely doesn’t start off smoothly, but it develops naturally and feels completely believable. Well written as always. It’s perfectly balanced between tension and romance. I also loved seeing characters from her other books show up—Garrett in particular. Highly recommended. Can’t wait for book 2 in the series (just hoping it’s Nashville!).

Loved this book. Had ARC copy and would 100% recommend. Love a MC romance and can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out.
Nero is a tough MC president with a secret, trying to balance 2 lives. Taylor is a delightful FMC who is just as fierce but with a vulnerable side.
The side characters are great too. Quick read and well worth it.
I really hope we get a Jessie book in the series.

Book 1 in the Blackhawk Disciples MC.
I loved reading this book. If you like Single Dad, MC president, Fmc is nurse, She's mine.. you will love this.
I enjoyed the story and I really look forward for book 2...

This is a fantastic book and I was completely enthralled throughout the whole book! This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be my last. Her writing has captured my attention. It covers a wide range of emotions and of course it has those sexy moments we love.

Nero and Taylor’s unconventional journey to finding each other and forming a family was truly captivating. Through their experiences, they grew and learned about each other while simultaneously navigating various external challenges. I eagerly anticipate witnessing their continued growth and the deepening of their bond. This book was a delightful read for me.

This is a new author to me but felt the synopsis was intriguing and it didn’t disappoint. Nero is President of Blackhawk Disciples..searching for a traitor within his club. He meets Taylor and his life slowly changes as he gives into temptation. The threat becomes overwhelming when Taylor protects his secret and suffers. How it all works out, who the traitor is and why, and what happens next is compelling and keeps the reader turning the pages to find out it’s all resolved. A great read and am looking forward to book 2…

Oh, I already know, this series has so much coming 🤩
This is book one, and even though it has an HEA for Nero and Taylor, the story isn't done. And yes, I love this kind of series. Every book a different couple, but with a storyline that goes through all the books 😁
I'm very excited who all the other girls will be. Because yeah, the members got introduced, but not the FMCs. I haven't counted all the members, maybe I should do a list, because it CAN be a bit much (no criticism), but that's how it is in an MC, it's not just one member 🤣 Every single one of them sounds very interesting.
I don't know how to find words for this book in particular 🙈 It's crazy (in a good way) 🤩 I mean an MC prez with a "secret" child... That's definitely something. But Noah, yeah, I'm going with his real name, is such a wonderful dad. He protects his son from everything and everyone 😍
We all know meet-cutes, right!? But do you know meet-grumps? 🤣 I don't know if this is a thing, but it definitely is in this book 😁 Noah is such a grump, and he shows that when he and Taylor meet for the first time to 1000%. Why do I always fall for the grumps? 🤔 Because yes, I loved Noah 😍
This book gives the full MC vibes. All the darkness. All the rivalry, and that just begun 😲
My favorite parts are definitely the 🐖🐖 Maybe you can guess what I mean, if not, even more reasons to read this series and meet them 😎

Nero is the president of a motorcycle club with a lot of bad things happening within and outside the club. He has a son he is keeping in hiding because that’s not the life he wants his kid to live.
Taylor is a nurse for diabetic patients (hi type 2 diabetic here:)). She meets Nero (Noah) through her patient Jesse who struggles with type 1 diabetes and their relationship blooms from there.
Things I like:
-Taylor is a funny character and she gets extra brownie points because she treats patients with diabetes
-We love a good protective father
-Possessive men is a yes
-The plot builds and doesn’t drag
-It was easy to follow along
Things I didn’t like:
-First and most important, Noah didn’t get Oscar his real puppy
-Noah and Taylor’s relationship felt fast like there wasn’t much longing, it was I think the third meeting and they were already taking part in cunnilingus? Felt a bit rushed
-The book felt a bit rushed in general, like one second they were happy and then bam ambush
-Maybe it’s just me but a wink from Nero after Taylor said she loved him was an ick for me
-I love the yearning and longing and this book didn’t have that

This was my first book by this author and I will be reading more. I couldn’t put this book down and happily gave up sleep for it. This book was filled with of action and kept me invested in all aspects of the story, not just the relationship between our MCs. Noah is one hot, delicious bad boy and has earned his place on the book husbands list (straight skipped the boyfriend one). Taylor is the perfect complement for him. The connection and the chemistry between them is insanely hot. It may have been a rough go at first but the way it develops is natural and real. It’s honestly a realistic depiction of a relationship being formed, and that’s refreshing for an MC romance. Noah is such a protector and does all he can for his son. Taylor is truly caring and has a good heart. These two are faced with doubt, lies, betrayal, danger, and more but see their devotion bloom among the darkness was heartwarming. I just had to know how it would end for them. Now I have to know what happens with the rest of the men. Next book please!

I love the beginning of a new book series and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. Another brilliant start introducing Nero the President of the Blackhawk Disciples and his growing relationship with Taylor. Chris Reilly never fails to create strong and talented heroines in her books that compliment those irresistibly masculine heroes.
I particularly liked the interaction between the world of MCs and relationships with ‘ordinary’ people that ran throughout the story. The series has got off to a flying start with an exciting new group of characters and some appearances from some old friends from Blackhawk Ink. I can’t wait for the next instalment….

This is Nero, President of the Blackhawk Disciples, Baltimore, MD Chapter and Taylor's, keeper of all of his secrets, fantastic story! Also my first read by this new to me author and we're taken on quite a ride in this story. It's filled with lies and betrayals, loyalty and love and kept me flipping the pages to see what's coming next. I completely enjoyed Nero from start to finish and absolutely recommend reading it!

Terrific read. Taylor and Noah's (Nero) worlds are so different, yet they are meant to be together. So much suspense and tension. I am a huge fan of this author's books. Can't wait for Nashville's story and to see how this drama continues. I received an advance review copy from the author and am leaving an honest review.

I kept turning the pages of this book because I had to find out what Nero was hiding and then I had to see if he and Taylor had their HEA or not. Along the way, I laughed, felt disappointment (in the characters) and kept reading. I am looking forward to the next book!

February 14, 2026I tried for days to read this book but I just couldn’t get into it. I have read a few of the author’s books and I really enjoyed them but there was just something about this one that didn’t click with me. DNF@35%.
