Alpha and Omega #1

The Biker's Omega

Rate this book
Marly Miles has been happy in his life as a lone Omega wolf, living and working among the humans of Orlando, Florida. When an attack on him and his friend brings Marly to the notice of the Sergeant of Arms of the Epitaph's Motorcycle Club, he realizes immediately that the man carries the same scent as his attackers. Not a very good start when the same man is also his mate.

Alpha wolf, Trent Beaumont has spent a lot of years living as a human when he walked away from his home pack. Forced to live as a straight man, because of the Epitaph's club culture, he walks away from Marly after checking the man is safe. But no wolf, not even an Alpha, can refuse the mating call from the Fates. But with his club President looking over his shoulder, and a woman panting after him to share his bed, Trent isn't sure it will ever be the right time to claim his own Omega.

Fights, misunderstandings and a lack of communication aren't the only problems Trent and Marly face. Trent has a history that has clouded his judgment and when Marly gets attacked again, Trent realizes he could lose his mate permanently, if he doesn't get his head out of the sand.

Warning: Contains one hot biker, a beautiful twink with a sassy mouth, and a ton of misunderstandings. Graphic m/m sex, violence and strong language.

More like 3.5 stars.

Marly and Trent were well-written characters. The story arc was well-planned and the pacing of the plot was good. I liked how feisty an omega Marly was and how protective an alpha Trent was.

I liked the story. There were quite a few events that happened, and it wasn't really a motorcycle club kind of story. The main focus was on Trent and Marly and their relationship. And I am glad for that because I have a fear in ABO theme books that their is either less character development or less relationship development. Neither was the case in this one. Characterisations of both Marly and Trent were clear in my head, so it helped in understanding their reactions to different situations. The relationship development was what I enjoyed, as it led to that pre-epilogue chapter, which was fun to read. It could have been worked on, and Trent irritated me with his ignorance, but that's what his character was, so...

The punctuation sucks, the editing could be more thorough, and there were a couple consistency issues, but the plus point is that there weren't many typographical mistakes or any name swaps. The writing was fine, too, not amateurish.

I don’t have many expectations for alpha/omega shifters books because they’re usually pretty mediocre and this one didn’t disappoint as it was indeed mediocre lol. I did like the omega very very much though because it’s very rare to see an omega with a backbone and Marley was awesome. Unfortunately ,the alpha followed this author’s typical formula as in he was an asshole . 2 stars for Marley .

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review.

Hmm, where to start.

This book ticked all my (not so secret) hot buttons:
Shifters? Yes.
Predestined mates? Yes.
Steamy sex? Yes.
Terms of endearment? Hell yes.
Hot, muscular alpha with sexy, lithe omega? OH GOD YES.

But why did I only give this three stars? We'll get to that.

The Biker's Omega is about an Alpha Biker, and his omega mate. (HAAA I'm sorry *snort*)

So yeah. Trent is an alpha, and the Sergeant of arms of the Epitaphs MC. He's big and muscly and keeps his sexuality, and the fact that he is a shifter, a secret from his club.

Marly is a slender, long haired omega who's living alone since his old pack didn't want him because of his sexuality.

Two phobes from the Epitaphs hate-bash Marly and his human friend, and that's how Trent finds Marly, when he catches a whiff of his scent on the phobes's clothing.

The story is good, and I liked the characters, Marly especially. He's totally cool. I loved everything about him- that ittle cutie patootie omegaboy! *squishes Marly*. Boy stands up for himself, and is sassy, yet sweet. Trent though? This is where I get sad that I can't give the book 4.5 stars for Marly alone. Because I really wanted to, but I couldn't.

Trent is okay but a lot of what he did really annoyed me. Just because he's an alpha doesn't give him the right to do whatever he wants(despite what the book says, hmph!*pets Marly*).

I was rather disappointed by the fact that Trent did not discuss important things with Marly. The morning after scene that I was really looking forward to, which was crucial to their new relationship, just wasn't there! He leaves early in the morning, and when he comes back, he doesn't even bring it up! And later on he says that he isn't big on talking and that he didn't want to talk about the first time they mated?!!

That was what took out a whole star.

The other star is for the amount of typos I found- Trent was 'Sargeant of arms' at one point and 'Sargeant at arms' in another. This book really could have used a few proofreaders.

And I don't want to say this, but I feel like I have to- The cover is not nice. It could have been better. I don't even mean the guys- just the layout- the author's name is practically invisible, and it feels so cluttered. Doesn't catch a reader's eye at all.

Would I recommend this? I guess if you like shifter Alpha-omega stories, you'll like this one. It is pretty sweet, all things considered.

This was a cute book with some ups and downs - Trent is an Alpha Wolf living as a human Biker, a straight Human Biker. Marly is an Omega - also living as a human, but not so straight - in-fact, Marly is pretty high on the Kinsey scale and a proud twink. On the outside these two couldn't be more wrong for each other. On the inside however their wolves recognize each other as true mates and it isn't long before Trent has Marly laid out and inside him claiming him. What baffles Marly is how the man/wolf can walk away after--is he not good enough for his true mate? Would the man rather live a life of celibacy than to be with his mate? Did Trent condemn Marly to a life of loneliness simply because he didn't want him to be with anyone else...not because he wanted him. All of this and more runs through Marly's head as he hears his front door close and his Alpha, the man/wolf who was never to hurt him, walk out of his life. Will he be back?

Trent knows what he just did to Marly was unfair. He knows he shouldn't have claimed him, even if they were true mates, without Marly's consent. He also knows walking out on Marly afterwards was one of the hardest things he has had to do in his almost 100 years.. But what else can he do? He is an Epitaph. A Man's Man. A Biker. Sgt of Arms of one of the most ruthless MC clubs in Orlando-- nobody will understand him suddenly being attracted to men, twink like-pretty men. Even if it isn't sudden, but just very well hidden. So he walked away. The question is - Will he stay away?

Lisa Oliver wrote a fun shifter story with twists and turns throughout. You will hate Trent. You will Love Marly. In the end-they both get what they need.

2.5 Stars Rounded up because Marly had a backbone.

What can I say about this? While I liked Lisa Oliver's Cloverleah Pack books, I didn't like this one. It was ALL me!

If this becomes a series, I don't know if I'll read on or not. Maybe.

Short and just ok. It was a short audiobook for me. The narrator did a good job, but the story was just ok. The blurb made me think I would love it, but it was just ok.

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest, impartial review through the DBML Program.

Trent Beaumont is the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Epitaphs motorcycle club in Orlando, Florida. A big, powerful man, respected by club members and sought by the females who hang with the club, no one knows that he’s also an alpha wolf shifter. In fact, he doesn’t much acknowledge that side of himself anymore either, not until he smells a wolf shifter on one of the club members who’s bragging about having beaten up on two gay guys in town. The unprovoked attack was apparently brutal, but what catches Trent’s attention is the scent of the wolf, an omega, and apparently, Trent’s mate.

Marly Miles is a loner. Having left his pack and family when it was apparent he was gay, he moved to Orlando and enjoys his life as a young gay man. Unfortunately, when he was attacked, it was in public so his wolf didn’t come out to defend him and his friend. But he heals quickly, and shortly after he returns home late the next night, he discovers a brute of a man lurking in his doorway. Trent has come to claim his mate and, against his better judgment and Marly’s wishes, he seals their bond with a bite.

Unfortunately, Trent fails to behave like a bonded mate, and that causes nothing but trouble and heartache for Marly throughout the story. Trying to continue to act straight and to stay with his biker club, a club that he’s belonged to for ten years, is hell for Trent when he knows Marly needs more from him. It isn’t until things come to a head with the club, Marly, and a rival gang that Trent finally starts to see if he doesn’t change, he’ll lose his chance at happiness forever.

This was a nice story but there were a few areas where the plot failed to meet my expectations. I really thought that Marly’s fight for club initiation would have been a great opportunity for excitement and drama, but it failed like a burst balloon. The Stephanie issue ended quickly like a fourth of July firecracker— it looked like it was going to be an explosive encounter, but she seemed to fizzle out quickly. And there were a lot of editing errors, misspelled and misused words—enough that it pulled me out of the story. So overall, it was okay and would be a nice story for people who like shifter stories with true mates, but I didn’t find it to be an outstanding tale.

I love shifter stories so I was really looking forward to this book. Trent is an Alpha shifter who has recently moved up the chain of command in the human biker gang that he belongs to. This gang also happens to be anti-gay.......uummm what?!?! It's unclear why Trent has stayed with said gang. He knows he's gay but can go without and to maintain his cover he's taken women in the club. Again....uummmm ok?!? The only thing we are given is that he feels a connection with Clive the president who he is friends with. Marly is a clothes loving pretty diva kind of twink who is out and proud. He also happens to be an Omega shifter. Trent and Marly meet when a few of the gang members beat up him and a friend of his and then go back to the club and brag about it. Trent overhears, intercedes and then smells his unknown mate on one of the men. He follows scent to Marly's apartment, finds the most beautiful pissed off Omega he's ever seen. Trent tries to stay away until the next night when he comes back, makes Marly his and bites him. After Marly tells him he's fine with the sex but not to bite/claim him. My main issue is that Trent is all over the place and doesn't act like an Alpha really at all through out the book. He is more concerned about his feelings than his mate's. He continually hurts his mate with his actions and ignoring him for days at a time. I loved Marly though with all his snark and attitude. Good thing he had a backbone and was able to take care of himself since his mate wasn't going to. I also liked Clive. This is my first book by this author and while I didn't love it as much as I was hoping - I did enjoy it enough that I want to see what happens in the next book.

Not a bad start....

***3.38 stars***

Well, was hoping for a bit more from the story, but all in all it was a nice quick read. I just went to see what the next book in the series was about and it seems totally unrelated to this book. Not sure if I like that or not.

I really wanted to know what's going to happen with Clive, Cat and Michael. In addition, it would be nice to know if there were any repercussions from Razor and/or Stephanie after Trent came out to the club.

Oh, and editing! Definitely someone needs to go back through this and revise it. Oh, other than that it was a fast/fun read.

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review as part of the M/M Romance group's Don't Buy My Love event.

I have a real soft spot for shifter stories and was excited that this was set in a Motorcycle Club, hot guys in leather, yummy.

I really enjoyed The Biker's Omega about alpha wolf shifter Trent Beaumont, Sergeant-at-Arms of the Epitaphs. Surprisingly his club has a homophobic ethos. Despite being bisexual, Trent has remained a member of the club hiding his sexuality (largely because of his friendship with club boss Clive).

Trent discovers his mate following an unprovoked attack by other club members on whom he subsequently smells his omega wolf mate.

Marly Miles had to leave his pack because of his sexuality and has made a life in Orlando as a sales assistant in a clothes shop living as openly gay.

I enjoyed the juxtaposition of Marly's open lifestyle finding himself mated to repressed semi-outlaw Trent. Despite the insta-love feel, having found their true mates, Marly and Trent had to work through various misconceptions and miscommunication.

Whilst Trent may assume that he is the alpha it is actually Marly who demonstrates the most strength, he has wit and beauty and a great deal of courage and integrity. This makes his bonding with Trent all the more surprising, but hey, opposites attract.

Both Trent and Clive come to admire Marly and question the more homophobic aspects of their club.

I wouldn't say this a particularly realistic book, it is more of a light fairy tale. However I enjoyed the concept; and Marly is a delight. Having read The Biker's Omega, I was really in the mood for more shifter books and immediately read Lisa Oliver's Bound and Bonded series in quick succession.

The Biker's Omega is recommended for readers who enjoy shifter stories and lightly handled romance. As long as you are ready to suspend disbelief (and let's face it, we are halfway there reading a shifter novel) this is a really sweet story about a sassy guy and his bad ass lover. I think I already mentioned the hot leather vibe they have going on *winks*.
Looking forward to reading more in the Alpha and Omega series.

Four stars!
The story was very interesting. I liked the look at how Trent and Marly got the club to change their stance on race, orientation, etc. I felt bad for Clive and how e had to give up the person he loved. But it did mean he was understanding. I wasn’t a fan of how Trent treated Marly through most of the book. However, I liked when he finally fixed his behavior. I wish there would have been a bit more to the story after the revelation of how he was hurting Marly’s feelings and changing his actions. You could tell Marly didn’t want to be in the club all that much, but he did it for Trent. The scene where Trent “forces” Steph to say she doesn’t want him anymore is absolutely hysterical! I was dying laughing by the end of that scene. I’m very interested in some of the side characters in this story and want to know who they have their happy ending with because they deserve happy endings too.

So…I liked some things about this, mostly Marly and how he had a backbone and stood up for himself several times instead of being a pushover. However, I couldn't fully get on board with Trent and especially his gang that he was a part of. I mean, it's all OK jusuuusssstttt as long as there's no drugs and prostitution? And he was kinda an ass to Marly and treated him like crap several times in the story. I don't know, some things about him just bugged me.

I have very low expectations with this genre - despite loving the alpha/omega trope, the books are quite often lacking.
There were moments in the story that were wonderful and others that made me roll my eyes and want to skim ahead. Trent was only an alpha by genetics in my opinion though I can understand some of his instincts being tampered due to living among humans for so long.
I wish Trent had been stronger, and not such a jerk. Then I might have enjoyed the story more.

I have read this authors other books which I enjoyed. Maybe because this was the first in a series, but I didn't enjoy it as much. I love shifter stories and don't mind the mate/mine theme, but this one just didn't work for me. I found both of the MCs annoying in their own way and the story just a little too unbelievable for even a shifter story.

Bad but not quite that bad Alpha... didn't care for Trent's illegal activities and running off on his mate made me dislike him, even if it wasn't for the reasons Marley thought.

I really don't know if I'll continue this series when the next one comes out. If it grabs my attention then give it a go.

Liked the contrast between the characters and the way Marley could kick ass. Needed a bit more angst and a little less perfect alpha to really engage me but I enjoyed it fairly well - enough to pick up the rest. I did like Clive as well (does he get a story??? Please??) - moving on to #2.

Ok so I liked Marly. I liked that he wasn't going to back down to his alpha even as an omega. He's going to be treated well no matter what. I didn't dislike Trent, but his decision making was very suspect in my opinion. Especially as an alpha. As soon as he found his mate it should have rerouted his thinking. Instead his mate was forever secondary to him. I didn't feel like he really cared about Marly except as the mating bond made him. He was so wrapped up in being in this biker gang it didn't matter to him what else the were doing. The way the homophobic nature of the biker gang was explained was also a little like "Really???" to me. Of course it all worked itself out as you'd expect, and I again enjoyed Marly and the way he stood up for himself. I actually liked Clive a lot and thought he deserved his own story despite just being human.

The Biker's Omega is a sweet romance, with a stubborn set in his ways alpha that you just want to punch at times, and then cuddle, and a willful omega that just wants to be loved. Trent, stubborn alpha, did get under my skin one too many times and I felt so sorry for Marly far too many times while reading this. Due to that I would say I was doubly happy to see Trent own up to his shit and start treating Marly right.
3.5 from me, and I would easily recommend this book to anyone that likes stories were opposites attract, and old set ways must be overcome.

4 heart review by Vicki

Bikers and shifters! Yup. That will work.

I read and reviewed Lisa Oliver’s Bound and Bonded series recently and enjoyed them, so I thought I’d pick this one up. Then I made the mistake of reading a couple of reviews on Goodreads (I know! Don’t yell at me!) and was a little nervous. I’m not sure what book those folks read, cause it wasn’t this one! I liked this book!

Trent is a big bad-ass biker dude, and a wolf shifter. He’s been around the block a time or three, been with women and men, had a pack and left it, and has been part of a human biker gang, the Epitaph’s, for the last ten years. He’s hid his wolf nature from everyone, as well as his attraction to men. He’s worked his way up to Sargent of Arms, making a name for himself in the underground gun trading industry. In Orland Florida of all places (Yup, a bit of belief suspension there.). He’s also fucked his way through the women in the gang as well, except for the head bitch Stephanie (A name I detest due to a purely personal issue that actually made this even better). One evening a couple of idiots in the Epitaph’s show up bragging about beating up some gay men. I refuse to use the word they used, it starts with an F, I imagine you can figure out what it was. So Trent doesn’t really like this, and gets in their faces to yell, when he smells the scent of his mate on one of them. They have beaten the crap out of his unknown mate. Off Trent goes to find this man.

Trent tracks his mate to his apartment, knocks on his door and finds the most beautiful, pissed off Omega shifter. Long blonde hair, nice little body, and one hell of a temper. This brings together our two main characters; Trent the Alpha asshole, and Marly the Omega. Marly is young as far as shifters go, he left his pack since they didn’t like him being gay or a male Omega, and has made a life for himself in the gay friendly Orlando. He has his own apartment, a great job, and a few friends. What he doesn’t have, or want, is a mate. But Trent has other plans, fucks him and bites him! Oops.

So that gets the two of them together. What we get from there is a good story. We learn that each has a history, with a bit of sadness in it, which explains their behavior. Trent hides Marly from his fellow biker dudes, continuing to put off the nasty Stephanie, and continuing to help the gang in their nefarious gun dealing. Marly gets more and more frustrated. There is a mingling of Trent’s two lives, that leads to some resolution for Marly, but even then Trent is an asshole to him! They have some quite hot sex, with a little switch up in their roles that I really liked.

Basically I liked this book. Yes, Trent is an asshole, as is Clive, the leader of the gang. But both men actually do have a bit of a redemption. Yes, they still deal in guns, but not drugs or prostitutes as Trent is very clear to tell Marly. They have had a history of homophobia that was pretty bad, but do have their come to Jesus moment and stop that within their gang. I liked Clive’s backstory as well, I hope we see him again. He may be an asshole now, but I could see why, and we do get to see him change.

What I wasn’t sure about was the name Marly! I just can’t help but see a big yellow dog when I see that name… My issue though, not the authors. This book also needs a bit of editing, there were some missing words, and mixed up words. I had the same issue with the other books I read from Lisa Oliver. Good books but they really need one more round of editing. She also makes the mistake that I’ve seen other British authors make when writing books set in America, using non-American words or phrases. There were enough in here for me to notice. All of these issues didn’t distract me from the story, but I did notice them, and my rating reflects that. So the plot worked for me, the characters were good, the sex was good, the emotional connection between Trent and Marly was fated and fast, but that was ok with me as well.

Overall an enjoyable book!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

I am really torn about this book. On one hand I enjoyed the overall story, on the other hand it annoyed me at times. I think this is really a 3.5 star read for me, but I prefer to round up.

We have Marly and Trent. Two seemingly opposite guys who get thrown together because they are wolf mates.

Trent is a big "biker" dude who is in a motorcycle gang that seems to do stuff with a lot of guns...they sell weapons maybe? They talk about turf wars, but I never really got a sense of what it was they truly did outside of weapons selling. Trent joins the gang after many years of being a wolf on his own, and finds this human gang similar to the pack life he lead. He is gay, but keeps it very hidden because of the people he is with.

Marly is a very out man who left his pack because he was gay and getting abused. He lives on his own and prefers it that way, and hadn't been solo for very long.

Marly and his friend get attacked one day by some of Trent's biker buddies, and Trent recognizes his mate's scent on them. He loses his cool, beats the ever loving snot out of them (without telling them the real reason why), and goes searching for Marly. Of course, he finds him, they have sex, and Trent claims Marly despite Marly asking him not to. Now they are connected forever and ever. Two wolves. Who never shift! It was mentioned once that they would run together as wolves everyday, but I felt that was a piece missing from the character development. The only time the wolves characteristics were mentioned were in fighting scenes where their strength helps them beat up those attacking them.

I also would have liked a little more written about them connecting as a couple. We see a lot of sex and know there is definitely sexual chemistry between them, but we don't see a lot of them connecting outside of that. After they finally get together, it jumps to 2 weeks later and how Trent is at his house every night. I would have liked to see more of that rather than be told after the fact that it happened.

In the end, though, we do get our HEA with some cool twists (Marly is really badass!), and we see them work as a couple. Trent does struggle throughout the book about how to balance his desire and need to be with Marly with his accountability to the biker gang and friend Clive, who was like family for so long. I thought those struggles were realistic and it was nice to see those not brushed off.

I enjoyed the story.

(This book was received free in return for an honest review via the Goodreads Don't Buy My Love program.)

3 stars
I have to say, I was quite disappointed that this new series from Ms. Oliver didn't match up with my expectations from her Cloverleah series, of which I am an avid fan.

This book felt like a salad of every shifter book tidbit tossed in with a Motorcycle Club (MC) that wasn't quite as bad-ass as they could be. I've yet to read an MC book set in a city that feels raw and authentic. The loose format and pack feeling of Cloverleah was more to my liking.

Trent, an alpha wolf and loner, had been second in the MC for over a decade. He scents his mate on the clothing of one of his men who "bashed" his mate for looking gay. Trent fears how their fated mate situation will pull him from the club, from the humans he considers his pack.

Out, gay, Omega wolf, Marly is shocked when he learns who his mate is. Understandably, since he refuses to hide his true nature of being gay. Together the two of them, navigate hiding their romance from the MC while Trent actively fends off the one woman who could ruin him in the club.

There's elements of Dom/sub in the story, but Marly is a very bratty bottom, who turns the tables on Trent and does some topping of his own. The Alpha character of Trent did nothing for me, he was too much of a jerk for me to feel any kind of attachment to the character, and Marly's character was sort of all-over the place for me.

Now for the humorous part of this review - Every since book one of Cloverleah, I've gotten a rise out of Ms. Oliver's mistake of using what I consider Brit English slang in her stories set in America. Although she has improved, with each story having less and less of an issue, this book was no exception to the rule. It took quite some time for the goof to occur - nearing 80% completion, but so, so obvious. Here they are, Ms. Oliver: holiday, where vacation or trip should have been used, and bloke in place of guy or man.

I'll still be reading Cloverleah, but this Alpha/Omega story just didn't hit the bar I've set for this author.

My Rating: 3.5 of 5 Stars

Trent Beaumont, as the Sergeant of Arms of the Epitaph's Motorcycle Club, had a lot to live up to and hide from. As a gay were, his being in an MC known for it homophobia is not a thing. When one of his men beats up two civilians he should not have reacted but he did, especially when he smelled not only an Omega, but his mate.

Marly Miles works with humans but is a were. When he gets beat up just for breathing the same air as the homophobic bikers, he had to pretend not to be strong enough to fight back. His human friend did not fair out so well. When an alpha wolf smells him up and camps at his door, he has no choice but to let the man in, especially when fate intervenes and makes said man his mate. A were who just happens to be closeted and member of the MC that beat him up.

This is not a good way to start a relationship. There is a whole lot of misunderstanding going on, a whole lot of violence and stupidity for no reason going on, and the advances of a woman who thinks she is god's gift to mankind going on. Desperate much?

In any case, this was an interesting read and the story is just the first of the series. The characters I met in this read are definitely going to have their own fifteen minutes of fame and I am curious about what happens to them. They are already here, and the damage has been done, I am curious hooked once more.

I am satisfied as the following elements in my mental checklist are present: paranormal shape-shifters, bikers, alpha male, twinkiemenwithbackbone, violence, and mayhem. What I did not like was the over-zealous advances of a woman who was lower than low and attempted to make a mess out of my men. Then of course, the end was quite anti-climactic. Otherwise, all is good and I would love to read more.

Lone wolf alpha Trent Beaumont is an officer of the Epitaph MC in Orlando, Florida. An unprovoked gay bashing by two members of the club on two unsuspecting men leaves them wearing traces of blood with the most succulent scent he's ever inhaled - that of his mate, omega wolf Marly Miles, a rarity in the mostly female omega category. It also leaves them with some significant physical damage when Trent gets done with them, ostensibly for potentially bringing law enforcement to the MC's door, but more so due to his rage at the attack on his unknown mate.

Marly, the target of regular beatings and subjugation in his pack, decided that alone was a better option, so he relocated to Orlando where he tried to create a safer life for himself. Because he was attacked while with a regular human, he took the beating from the MC members. As soon as Trent tracks him down at Marly's apartment after the man checked himself out of the hospital, the omega knows his life is going to be irrevocably altered. There's no denying that he is staring a full foot above his head at his sexy mate in his doorway-while Marly is wearing nothing but a towel.

Instant heat leads to some seriously steamy sexy times, but the closeted Trent pairing with the flamboyantly out and proud significantly younger Marly leads to a great deal of angst, frustration, miscommunication, and hurt feelings. Trent struggles throughout the entirety of the book to openly embrace his feelings for the beautiful omega, and the two men have to work through their significantly different worlds to find common ground and the potential for happiness. For his part, Marly is a ray of sunshine in what might otherwise be a dark book. Full of humor and intelligence, Marly keeps the "fun" in this dysfunctional relationship.

This is a quick romp with main characters who are witty and intelligent, enough support characters to further round out what turned out to be a fun read, and I give it 4.5 stars!
