When you wish you had died rather than being rescued and brought back from the brink of death, the last thing you want is a young and energetic beloved. So of course, the fates send you exactly that.
Alessandro “Sandro” D’Angelo feels as if he’s failed at everything important he was supposed to do in life. After the death of his younger brother, he’s wanted nothing more than to join his brother on the other side. When his family rescues him from the brink of death, he wishes they hadn’t. Only he can’t voice those feelings, as it’s the coven’s second who risked his life for the older vampire. And nobody wanted to upset him.
Leonardo Mosca is all alone in this world. Forced into a life of servitude by his pride after his parents’ questionable death, he wants nothing more than to be able to escape and live a life of freedom. Plans change when he suddenly snaps and attacks the alpha’s brother in a moment of frustration. While Leo is working his way through the busy center of Rome and trying to avoid his pride, fate intervenes, and he runs into the arms of Sandro. Will his mate be the one to rescue him from his pride?
Can Sandro and Leo figure out how to build a life together? Will Sandro’s young beloved teach him how to live again? Will Leo finally learn about his parents’ mysterious death, and will those responsible be brought to justice?
Sandro is Book Two in the Vittone’s Vampires series. Although set in the Universe of Destined Paranormals world, you do not need to have read previous series to read this one. Each book will focus on a different couple and should be read in order. Although this is a darker mafia vampire romance, it is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be at least one baby. Expect normal vampire shenanigans and some darker themes. And more.
I LOVED this Vampire book by Taylor Rylan. This story was written beautifully and with poise. There is some heavier topics in this book, such as death of a love one (only talked about), torture, and enemy death. This is also a love story between fated mates, who you will fall in love with.
Sandro and Leo are mates, but it was not insta-love, they both had difficulties they had to work through together. The dynamic between these two is exceptional. I swooned over how sweet their love is. There are struggles each of them has independently, but that does not stop them from learning from each other and leaning on each other in times of difficulty.
This book is a dual point-of-view, and being able to get to know both characters better by their inside thoughts and feelings gave their story more depth. There are a few twists that will keep you, the reader, continuously thinking "what is going to happen next?".
Sandro, a vampire doctor, was rescued from the brink of death (in Vittone's book one) and is struggling to cope with still being alive. Will meeting his beloved help him?
Leo, a shifter (read to find out which kind), is all alone. After his parents' questionable death he is living a life of servitude for the pride he is living in. He has plans for escaping, but those got changed when there is an incident at the pride house. On the run in Rome, he quiet literally runs into Sandro's arms. Is his mate the one who will rescue him?
This is an mpreg book, with a baby making their appearance.
Sandro and Leo are mates, but this is definitely not an insta-love story. They both have their own struggles to work through, and I loved watching them navigate those difficulties together. The dynamic between these two is exceptional. I absolutely swooned over how sweet their love is. Even with the challenges they each face independently, they learn from one another and lean on each other when things get difficult. I enjoyed watching them work through their individual struggles while learning to trust, support, and lean on each other. This is a dual POV story, and getting to experience both characters’ thoughts and feelings added so much depth to their relationship. There are also a few twists that kept me turning the pages and wondering, What is going to happen next?
I really love the world this author has created. Sandro is still healing from when he was kidnapped and tortured and when Abel suggested going to Rome for visit, he went along. Leo lives in a pride and since his parent’s death, has been made to take care of the house. One day he snaps and attacks the alpha’s brother for messing up the floors. He runs and knows he needs to get away from them. When he spots his alphas men, he runs right into Sandro. They both realize they are mates and with Rio’s help, they get away. This is the start of their story with how Sandro heals further and Leo learns more about his parents. I cannot wait to see who is next.
I loved Sandra's book. I was so heart broken at the start with him dealing with the pain of losing his brother as well as being taken and tortured. Leonardo was such a good fit with Sandro! I loved how they needed each other. I also love how Sandro got actual help and didn't just have love fix everything! This was such a cute book, I love where the Family is going! I can't wait for the next one!
As always no spoilers included. So all I’m going to say about this book Sandro is I absolutely adored it and enjoyed climbing in it and getting lost within its pages and that is all I’m going to say about this book. But it is a yes from me that I most definitely recommend you reading Sandro and Leo’s story.
Oh our sweet Sandro. Your heart can't help but break for him in his story and all that he went through. I found this book to be quite exciting there was a lot of twist and turns that I wasn't expecting like come on the grandpa. These characters they have stolen my heart. I cannot wait to see where we're going to go next with this series but I am so excited to be here for it.
Sandro has been ready to give up on life, while Leo is running from his pack. When they crash into each other, both of their lives change for the better. Leo and Sandro are some of my favorite characters. I can't wait to see more of Vittone's group and how the changes coming for them work out.
Sandro went through hell and back and it was devastating watching him become a shell of himself. Leo and Sandro literally bumped into each other and had a bumpy start. I liked the fact that they both communicated especially, Sandro.
This book would be complete without the rest of the family. I really hope Master Vincent finds his HEA too.
Fantastic book and I really enjoyed it.
