This audiobook, from #1 New York Times bestselling author Dan Harris and acclaimed meditation teacher Sebene Selassie, is your rescue plan.

Whether you’re dealing with insomnia, resentment, a harsh inner critic, or everyday stress, meditation is a simple, secular, scientifically validated tool to help manage stress, improve sleep, and feel happier. But for those new to meditation, the wealth of information out there can be overwhelming, and those familiar with it can struggle to stick to a regular practice.

With EVEN YOU CAN MEDITATE, #1 New York Times bestselling author and host of the 10% Happier podcast Dan Harris joins meditation teacher Sebene Selassie to introduce listeners to the different meditation traditions and practices that have worked for him. After a discussion of the origins, uses, and benefits of each technique, listeners will be guided through a simple practice.

By the end of this audio experience, you'll not only understand which meditation style fits your life and needs, but you'll also have everything necessary to begin your practice—taking the first step toward better sleep, reduced stress, and genuine happiness.

I think it feels more accurate and appropriate to call this an Audible Original rather than a book, per se: essentially, it's sometimes brief connective tissue between medium-length guided meditations. It's among the most condensed options available for Harris' style of approachable Buddhism and meditation, but there's a lot more helpful depth to be found elsewhere, including Harris' podcast and other books.

Very basic primer but a good start for someone new or curious about meditation. The guided meditations (covering the 4-5 main meditation themes are decent.
