Men of Echo Ridge #5
Echo: Run
I came back from the dead to stop a traitor…and to face the woman I broke.
Going dark was the only way to save Echo Ridge.
It just cost me the woman I loved.
Two years undercover inside the Committee meant no contact, no messages, no mistakes. I completed the mission. I exposed the breach. I survived.
Sarah Andrews didn’t.
Not really.
When I surface and join Echo Ridge, she’s ice-cold, razor-sharp, and done with me. She thinks I abandoned her when she was wounded and alone. When her brother vanished and everything fell apart.
I’d tell her the truth if I could. But some secrets still get people killed.
Then I discover the impossible, someone has been feeding operational intelligence to the Committee. Echo Base is compromised, and if we alert the wrong person, the traitor disappears…and the team dies.
Sarah is the only one I trust to help me stop it.
Forced to work together, the past collides with the present anger, guilt, and the love we never finished tearing apart. I made the right call once.
This time, I won’t lose her again.

This series is getting stronger by the book,i’m telling you!
We’ve reached Sarah and Ghost’s,aka Micah’s,story,and it’s heartbreaking.
He was CIA,she NSA,and from the moment they met for work at Fort Meade, they had chemistry.
Plus, they worked so very good together…..right up until Micah had to go undercover at the Committee.
It wasn’t an easy thing, trust me….he went dark for 2 whole years!
No contact,at all, because it might compromise him.
And during that time,Sarah was taken by the Committee and got beaten within an inch of her life.
Luckily, she managed to escape just in time, but once she got to the safehouse, and tried to contact Micah?
There was nothing but silence….and that hurt!
So,when he finally showed up at Echo Base, she couldn’t deal with seeing him.
And he knew why….because he’d finally listened to her stress-calls.
Could they find a way back to what they used to have?
They had to work closely together as danger closed in on the Echo Ridge team.
Could Sarah do it without falling apart?
Micah tried to do everything he could to make her as comfortable as possible, but was it enough?
They really needed to talk, but was there time to do so?
They were up to their necks in working out who,and how,was feeding the Committee information.
And stopping the Committe from finding Echo Base….
Sarah and Micah’s story was so beautiful, and heartfelt.
Their connection, their chemistry, was solid from the start, and it helped them when they found eachother again.
First when they worked together on dealing with the threat to the team.
And later when they, slowly but surely, peeled back the layers of what happened.
What they ended up with, was so much stronger,so much better then i’d hoped for!

Intense, emotional and filled with attention to detail. I found the background info pulled me into Micah and Sarah lives, making understanding the traumatic time and Sarah's anger and sense of betrayal easier. The Echo team has to sass out a possible mole, the comprise of their operations and the storyline kept bringing more. Has Victoria Cross changed teams or selling out to the highest bidder? Can Sarah and Micah overcome their past and have a second chance? Grab a copy asap and read this all consuming book.

Micah, a covert ops specialist, has now joined Echo Ridge, much to Sarah's dismay. They have a history that didn't end on a positive note. Personally, I think she spent the story being upset about something he had no control over, that she KNEW he had no control over, but she wanted to blame someone… so she did! Childish if you ask me. Micah knew what she was doing and just let her as long as he could. Frankly, the rest of the team was seeing it to and she wasn't likely garnering any sympathy points, they knew the score too. That all had to get pushed to the back burner when they were forced to work together when it was discovered that information regarding Echo Ridge was in enemy hands - information they definateky should not have. They has a traitor! Although he was new to the group, Micah was all in with identifying the culprit. He'd worked with the group previously and was already invested. Among the suspects is Cross, their information broker. A surprise, but not so much. This story is high octane as our couple try to trace down the person responsible. At some point they realize dealing with their history is necessary for moving forward, so there are definately fireworks (of various kinds😉). Where will their relationship settle? Will Cross turn out to be responsible for the data breach? Don't miss out in this must have story. The Committee is definately planning something, but we'll have to stay tuned to find out exactly what that is. It's gonna be another nail biter for sure!
I was fortunate to be gifted a copy of this book and voluntarily provided this review. I would highly recommend reading the previous Echo books for background for the continuing arc. However, you can enjoy it as a standalone romance. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

I love this series. Love the suspense and intrigue. Sarah has been though more than anyone should. She has survived the impossible. And still she prevails. Her finding out the one she trusted and loved wasn't dead was almost her undoing. It took a lot for Micah to convince her what he did and what happened was necessary for lives to be saved.
The journey to Sarah was met with resistance. But in the end she knew it was right. What they had and have was worth everything they went through to get to that point.
We also learn about what the committee was up to . They had to work together to make Echo Ridge safe. Putting aside their conflicts.
I was riveted to the story. And for them it worked out in the end. Finding home again with each other.
Steam to the eventual romance. And for them an HEA, for the team they are still working to try to keep one step ahead of Webb and the committee.

I think I held my breath from Micah and Sarah's early meetings at the restaurant to Sarah at the safe house to the battle with Reeves. I am pretty sure I have said this before, but it seemed like this book moved at rapid pace. The suspense was suspensing.
Even Micah and Sarah's "reunion" and subsequent interactions felt suspenseful. The romance in this book felt more pronounced to me for some reason. Sarah and Micah's path back to each other seemed a little more painful. They really worked for whatever comfort and happiness they could find considering what was happening with the Committee.
I am looking forward to Victoria's book. My recommendation would be to read a few of the other books before this one. I think reading them in order provides clarity and serves to elevate the level of suspense.

Micha was drawn to Sarah from the start. They worked well together and everything was going great until he goes dark on a dangerous assignment. When Sarah becomes a target she begs him to help, but he never got her messages. She saved herself and now he's back but it's been two years and the anger and damage might make it impossible for them to reconnect. Both have been hiding their feelings and now with Echo Ridge at risk, they must work together to save everything they've worked for. Will true love win and can they find the leak and save their home? A page turner you'll love to read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Anger and Regret
As the Committee continues to hunt to find the Echo Ridge Base, the past and the present collide. Two people attracted to each other that due to their jobs were split up. Mitch went under deep, deep cover and Sarah got burned. She should have died, but was able to escape. But that experience and her inability to reach Mitch created a very bitter and angry person. Mitch was so deep undercover that he did not know Sarah needed him. This was their past. But now, in the present, they need to put anger and regret aside to work together to keep Echo Ridge safe. But as they work to track down who is leaking information and protecting the Ridge, those feelings soon take second place to the desire they still feel for each other. But if they are to be happy, Sarah is going to have to forgive Mitch and Mitch is going to have to forgive himself. Such an emotional story. And if that is not enough, the backstory of the Committee is starting to really heat up. I can hardly wait until the next book in the series comes out.

This series is so addictive, super suspenseful like sitting in a race car driving 150 miles an hour. Written in a fast paste. Sarah and Micah’s story is closing your throat trying to get air to read further. If the next one is even more suspenseful i don’t know if i will survive. Sitting on the edge of your couch reading like a mad woman.😄. Could not put it down and read till deep in the night. However there is a lot of analysis going on it is still sooo worth the read. Life threatening danger and operational and tactical ops trying to keep them alive,

This is my favourite book in this series, there is so much more behind the scenes as it were, the tactical and planning. I can’t pretend to understand all the jargon of Sigint but enough to understand what is going on. The backstory was really interesting and Micah’s time deep undercover in the Committee had me holding my breath. There is a lot of emotion for Sarah and understandably so and her rationale was interesting. Their reunion was a slow burn almost but very satisfying. I am really looking forward to Victoria Cross’s story she has been mysterious so far.

This book was so intense! The backstory's emotional history was so deep and so painful for the 2 main leads! Talk about a second chance challenging story. I loved both characters. One drowning in anger and deep hurt, the other drowning in regret and guilt. Then the overlaid story of the Committees push to find Echo Ridge!
This was a great tense read, full of angst, action and danger!
Cannot wait for the next book!

They were not supposed to be in a relationship, but were drawn to each other by thier work and undeniable heat.
It was also thier work which separated them, then broke them, when she was taken and he was not there to help.
Years later he gets the chance to make it right, but the hurt she endured is going to take a while to get past.
He's determined not to let anything get in his way this time and when they have to work together to try and take down a common enemy, forced proximity changes things.
But time can help, maybe.

This book is part of a series and although it can be read as a standalone I recommend reading the series in order. There is an ongoing storyline across the series, with a different couple in each book. I thought the characters and plot were well developed, although it feels like there is a lot of repetition in the suspense part of the books in the series. The romantic story in this book was nice. It tells both the original romance and the second chance romance, which was enjoyable.

This is number 5 in the Men of Echo Ridge series. If you haven't started this amazing adventure then you're missing out. These men are going after the Committee whose agenda is too take out anyone or anything that threatens them. This is Micah and Sarah's story. It is very emotional, intense, and just overall has a WOW factor.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I love a good second chance romance, especially where the MC (either male or female) has to give up everything in order to correct a wrong. The time Micah spent undercover broke more than his relationship with Sarah, it almost broke him of trust and the willingness to recover. Being back in Echo Ridge was not easy, but his heart was in the right place.

Men Of Echo Ridge story of Sarah Andrews and Micah. Now that was intense and incredible. The danger and mystery was what kept me turning the pages to find out who is the mole inside the good guys camp. I was not sure if the bad guys or good guys was the mole. I loved the drama and the second chance at love these two get. This was a tricky adventure love story that is a wonderful page turner.

I wanted Sarah’s story and it did not disappoint. A complicated relationship from the start between her and Micah. Add covert dangerous missions and no communication, this was a novel full of hurt, vulnerability, deep emotion, and love. And don’t forget the hot spice. We also continue to delve deeper into the Committee and Echo Ridge’s stance. Just awesome.

Another excellent book in the series Men of Echo Ridge #5
Having to work together to save Echo Ridge, Micah and Sarah have to deal with the hurt, betrayal and heartbreak.
Micah and Sarah’s relationship is strained but professionally, they click.
Fighting the Committee and looking for the leak, brings them to face the past.
I really liked this story but I have enjoyed all of the books in this series.

Sarah + Micah! Covert operations means just that. Micah’s is a military covert operator. His work forced him to “ghost” Sarah when she needed him most. Echo Run is the action packed story of the circumstances that reunite them. I’m hooked on this series, the military action film aspects, and the HEAs each interconnected standalone story brings.

I am in love with this series. This book is an excellent addition to the series. Suspense, romance, and emotional baggage. Sarah is hurt, angry and a survivor. Micah is sorry, and serious about repairing the damage he caused. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Sarah was compromised during Micah’s deep cover in the Committee. When she reached out, Micah was in full blackout made and didn’t know Sarah needed him. When he shows up at Echo Ridge, she is furious. Must Read to find out…….

This has been a wonderful series to read. With suspense, danger and plenty of romance, Delta James does it all and Echo Run is no different. This book centers on Micah and Sarah. Having worked together before, there was already an attraction until Micah disappeared. Now he’s back and joins Echo Ridge and Sarah is not happy about it. As the Committee is getting closer and closer to finding Echo Ridge and the team, Micah and Sarah find themselves working together once more and realizing their love for each other.
A great story with all the action and romance you expect from Ms. James.

Review of advance copy received from Author
Micah made decisions in the past that cost him the only woman who made him want to come back every time he left on a mission. When they first met they worked perfectly together and formed a deep and intense connection, still that connection was not enough to keep them together and he left when she needed him the most.
Now their paths cross again.
Micah knows it, he knows Sarah hates him for leaving her alone and for making her believe he was dead, yet he also knows that despite everything their hearts still belong to each other, Sarah has been through so much and she was prepared for anything except meeting again the man who made her heart race, the man who once gave her a sense of safety and protection. Nothing prepared her for the pain of being abandoned by the man she loved at the moment she needed him the most, so she buried her emotions and let resentment take their place.
Three years later they are forced to work together to face the Committee.
They both know they must put their feelings aside if they want the mission to succeed, but they also realize the connection that once bound them is still there, the tension between them can be felt in countless ways, along with the wounds they both carry. Reading their journey was painful, Micah knew from the moment he returned to Sarah’s life that nothing would ever be the same and that if he wanted to win her back he had to prove he would be there for her, that he would never leave her alone again no matter what, that together they are stronger.
Sarah knew it too from the moment Micah came back into her life, the feelings were still there, hidden behind resentment, but fear followed her closely, fear of opening her heart again, fear that he would disappear once more and leave her alone.
Rebuilding trust was not easy, there were setbacks, doubts, and pain until they reached a point where they could no longer resist or fight what they felt. While they try to rebuild their love, the Committee’s threats grow stronger and put everything the Echo base has built at risk, a carefully crafted plan could lead them to victory or seal their fate.
In the end Micah and Sarah manage to make everything work, The Committee suffers another blow and everything seems to move closer to its downfall. More importantly they manage to rebuild their broken trust and their love.
I truly loved this story, even after everything they went through, they both knew they could not stop feeling for each other or pretend to be only professional. I suffered reading their inner conflict, but I also witnessed their growth and maturity, proving that together they are stronger, in the end they finally get what they always wanted, a future together.
I loved Sarah and the strength she showed through everything she faced. I understood Micah’s decisions even though they were painful, still I loved every moment of the book and the way everything slowly came together.
The end of the Committee is approaching and it will not be easy, and that small glimpse of what is coming next left me wanting more. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This one comes in heavy right from the start but not in a loud, explosive way. It’s quieter than that. Sharper. Like everything between these two has already been shattered, and now you’re just stepping into what’s left behind.
Micah carries that weight in a way that feels almost suffocating. There’s this constant sense that he’s holding onto things he can’t say, can’t fix, can’t undo and it shows in how controlled he is. Not cold exactly, but contained. Like every emotion is locked down because letting it slip would cost too much. And that restraint? It makes every small crack in that control hit harder.
Sarah, though… she doesn’t meet him halfway. She meets him with distance, with anger, with something a lot sharper than hurt. And honestly, it feels earned. She’s not written to soften things or make it easier for him, and that’s what makes their dynamic work so well. There’s strength in how she holds that line, how she refuses to just fall back into what they were without forcing him to face what he left behind.
Their connection is all tension. Not the slow-build kind, but the already-broken, still-burning kind. Every interaction feels loaded like there’s too much history sitting between them to ignore, but no clean way to move through it either. It’s resentment, unfinished feelings, trust that was shattered and never rebuilt… all tangled together in a way that keeps everything feeling raw.
The atmosphere leans hard into that sense of pressure from both sides. There’s the external threat constant, calculated, closing in but there’s also that internal strain between them that never really lets up. It’s not just about survival here, it’s about navigating something unresolved while everything around them is actively falling apart.
What stood out most is how this one handles trust. Not just rebuilding it, but questioning if it can even be rebuilt at all. It doesn’t rush forgiveness or force emotional resolution; it lets things stay messy, complicated, and honestly a little uncomfortable at times, which fits perfectly with the tone of the story.
Overall, this sits in that second chance space, but with a much rougher edge. It’s not about rekindling something soft, it's about confronting what was broken and deciding if there’s anything left worth saving. If you like emotionally intense reunions, forced proximity with unresolved history, and relationships that feel just as dangerous as the world around them, this one definitely delivers.
As always be mindful of any trigger warnings, what I like you may not.
Happy Reading! ✨📚

This is the fifth book in this series, it can totally be read as a standalone but I would urge reading the series in sequence to get the most enjoyment......you won't regret it.
Tension was high at Echo Ridge, The Committee were closing in, they were too close for comfort to the secluded, dark ops headquarters that was hidden into the side of a mountain, they had to act fast, information was leaking but from where.
Kane and his hand picked team were on high alert but there was another tension within Echo Ridge, a tension that could blow the safety of the operation, the tension between Sarah and Micah.
Sarah Andrews had been working signals intelligence for the NSA, she was the best at her job. NSA works in conjunction with the CIA, sharing information and when the ruggedly handsome CIA operator entered one of Sarah's presentations, the attraction was instant.
Sarah and Micah grew close, they worked well together, they were both at the top of their game but Sarah knew that Micah worked undercover in dark ops, sometimes for months at a time with no communications, but he would always be there for Sarah........or would he ?
Sarah's life was in danger and her brother was missing, she had no one to turn to except Micah and he wasn't there.
Micah was deep undercover for two years, his work was important in saving lives, deep down Sarah knew that he didn't have a choice but it didn't stop the anger that had festered for two years, and now they were both working at Echo Ridge to bring down the highly trained, well connected Committee.
The safety of Echo Ridge and all Kane's team depended on the two of them working together, could they focus enough to get the job done and outsmart the Committee ?
This story is like being on a roller coaster without breaks, it is action packed with nail biting suspense, the analysis and technical jargon is mind blowing and I can't wait to read Vix's story.
I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.

Men of Echo Ridge comes with two new recruits to their team Sarah and Micah.
They have history. Both thought the other had died during undercover ops.
When Sarah needed Micah, he was so deep undercover in The Committee and Webb that he went completely dark. No outside communications that could reveal his cover.
He didn't answer her calls for help.
She was found by Echo Ridge, bleeding out, needing to find her missing brother Gabriel.
This book is full of action and angst. Two years pass before Micah resurfaces from his encrypted messages that he reads makes him realise his mistake. One that is two years in the making!
When he joins Echo Ridge, he knows Sarah is also there, and accepts his fate!
Hard held feelings by Sarah cause Micah to realise she may never forgive him but he knows if he is patient enough that he may get the forgiveness he seeks.
All this is left to chance as they both work side by side to keep Committee members from finding their hidden location.
After a successful operation to eliminate Reeve's and his three men, Kane, Mercer, Dylan and Stryker return to base. They hand over an injured Reeves to Victoria Cross for interrogation.....
Their job is done.
Sarah and Micah make head roads into mending their relationship. A few heated moments between them keep the home fires burning LOL. Gotta have a little bit of heat to spice up any Action story. They find forgiveness in each other and become the team they know they can be.
And being accepted by the rest of the Echo Ridge occupants helps Sarah and her anxiety!
Do they get their HEA? Of course they do, but there is more story to tell as Victoria Cross comes under Webb's scrutiny. She finds he is deliberately targeting all her assets and destroying them one by one.
Am so ready for the next instalment of Echo Ridge, Echo - Vendetta, Victoria Cross's story

Sarah Andrews, a signal intelligence operator with the NSA, is presenting information on intercepted communications from terrorist networks when Micah Hawthorne, aka Ghost, stops to talk to her. He is with the CIA Special Activities Division and compliments her on her valuable information. He is attracted to her, but shouldn’t be as his job involves him infiltrating terrorist groups. A relationship between them should not be, but they soon can’t deny their feelings. When he leaves on his next assignment, he says he will be back, but not sure when. After a couple years, she gives up on him, not knowing if he is even still alive. She has also been trying to find her missing brother. While working in a surveillance van, she is captured by the committee. Surviving her injuries, she escapes and has joined the team at Echo Ridge. When Micah learns what Sarah survived, he arrives at Echo Base. She understood his commitment to his team and that he was unaware of her situation, but doesn’t know if she can forgive him for not being there, for her. When members of the committee intercept confidential intel, Echo Ridge must revise their list of confidential resources to protect the location of their base. As they work together, their previous attraction flares out of control, again, as they try to save their base. Is there also a chance for them to move on from the past and look forward to a future, together? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review.
