I will need to catch up on the first book to learn of the beginning of Eli and Kennedy's story. Because I didn't know that, I kept on second guessing myself as to how they got together without being a couple.
This is a slow build story, but we know that foundations need to be built slowly to stand the test of time. Although it ends happily for now, they are not fully settled into a relationship and still not sure on what the future holds. Although a good book, there were times I just wanted to get there and lighten the mood.
